CBS Reporter Stunned to Hear Injured Spider-Man Forgives

Is forgiveness just so hard to understand these days?

The local CBS affiliate in New York aired an exclusive interview with the injured actor who fell 30 feet from the stage during a preview performance of Broadway’s Spider-Man. And while the actor gives some interesting details about the fall, the most interesting part is the interviewers utter shock, and seemingly disappointment, when she tries get the actor to admit he’s angry with those responsible. He’s not. She doesn’t understand.

The actor, Christopher Tierney, was interviewed by WCBS reporter Dana Tyler. The station provides a partial transcript of the interview on their website showing the relevant part:

Tyler: “You say it was human error, do you blame anyone?”

Tierney: “The person involved … the people involved … they came and visited. It’s water under the bridge, completely forgiven and forgotten.”

Tyler: “I hear what you’re saying. You suffered a really serious injury but you are a really forgiving. You weren’t pushed too hard?”

Tierney: “No, I’m glad to be working on the show. I mean not glad, overjoyed to be working on the show.”

Tyler’s reaction is more obvious in the video of the interview below:

Maybe if he would have announced a lawsuit that would have been less surprising.

Christopher Tierney is not only inspiring young actor, he holds what can only be called “joi de vivre” if I‘d lived in NY I’d go see the production if only to support his endeavors.

bless the stuntman. he has HEART and an IQ.

no, these Lefts in the obama media just do not understand anymore at all. yet they will be clamoring at OUR front doors for help when obama leads America into devastating civil war and race riots, and only WE will have the food and shelter that these Lefts will scream for so much.
…one of our teens pointed out over the Holidays: these Lefties are all the same, we saw them out standing out in the ankle deep water in New Orleans before the levies broke saying “help me” to the media cameras rather than simply LEAVING TOWN and the threat of DANGER.

They call them accidents for a reason.. If it was sabotage like the pelosi/obama progressive’s are doing – that’s completely different. Why don’t any reporters ask about THAT?

Accidents happen. It would be imprudent to rush to condemn everyone involved in the production. They did their best, and they certainly will do better next time if we allow those involved to should their responsibility, not by some overseeing committee, but by their own recognizance.

Blaze, your grammar and punctuation in this story is pretty poor. I can’t refer people to an article with errors like that. Please edit.

I watched that this morning just before leaving for my job. I had the same thought thinking, “Geez why doesn’t she just let it be with the answer he gave, it was pretty clear”. Then this comes on the Blaze. I’m with you on this one, he said forgive and forget, that should have been the end of it.

And that folks is what is wrong with society today. Too many people like the reporter.”shall I forgive the man who sins against me seven times?”,
” I tell you, to forgive seventy times seven.” It’s that simple.

Liberals indeed do not understand forgiveness; to them it is indeed a sign of exploitable weaknesses worth the ‘lawsuits’ TxPiolet mentions of. In general, they seem to believe only the seizing of and the redistribution of wealth at the hands of a small, ruling elite of enlightened idiots will bring about the true ‘happiness, redemption, and forgiveness’ of a injury to the soul.

      It not work that way!!!

This woman is not worth the time of day, let alone a reply. The man forgives, that his his decision, not some MSNBC zombie.

What I love about liberals is that they are always tryong to get inside the head of everyone. They know what we thing, what we really mean, what we ought to think, what our true intentions are. I may be wrong about this but I would not want to be burdened by all of that intelligence, insight, and the ability to read everyone’s mind. Must be an incridible burden.
