CBS Talk Show Host Julie Chen Breaks Down Over Casey Anthony Verdict

The dramatic verdict in the Casey Anthony trial came down as CBS’ The Talk was underway, and viewers witnesses co-host Julie Chen breaking down at word Anthony had been found not guilty of killing her daughter Caylee. Chen, who attempted to read the verdict, became clearly emotional and unable to continue, asking her co-hosts to take over. “Help me out here.

Chen’s co-host Holly Robinson Peete also expressed fears that if Anthony was not found guilty of even“ aggravated assault” on a child, then how could she be found guilty of any of the more substantive charges.

    Maybe, just maybe, the press and commentators on TV/Radio will wait until the verdict is given in any other trial. These talking heads/TV lawyers should keep their pie holes shut. The prosecutors tried the wrong person on this one. Her dad allowed the baby Caylee to drown. Casey lied to protect her father. Still is and most likely will continue to do so. Talking heads on TV sometimes make me sick. Now that Glenn Beck is no longer with Fox, I will not watch Fox. Fox has spent way too much time on this story and paid too many TV lawyers too much to spew spit.
    Caseys life has been ruined. Put it so bed Fox.

      Hisemiester, you certainly are drinking the Casey Koolaid. Just because she was found not guilty, due to a lack of evidence, does not mean she is not guilty.

    The verdict of “not guilty” does NOT mean “innocent”. “Innocent means you didn’t do something. “Not Guilty” is a legal term that means there wasn’t enough evidence to convict. There are loads of people who are found “not guilty” but are far from innocent. Only Casey Anthony knows the truth.

    Also remember that Courts do not dispense Justice; they only render a verdict. To think otherwise is naive.

    Is anybody wondering what really happened to little Caylee? Missing for 31 days before even being reported missing? Mother out partying, shoping and getting a tatoo while telling parents and police she’s out looking for her? Never seems concerned as to where Caylee might be? Hello! What in the world is going on here, Ok so now what? You can’t try her again, so she’s free except for the lying to the police thing, and will probably get time served for those. So now she goes on the talk show circut and poses for pictures etc. She’ll make a fortune and sue her parents and the media for character assination! What a great world we live in!

      I agree 100% with you!!! This makes me sick that they found her not guilty!! Everyone knows that shes guilty but the only thing that saved her butt was they were not sure how she died!!! Now Casey gets what she wanted to party and live a life with out Caylee!!! Way to go Casey you killed you beautiful little girl and got away with it!! But dont forget judgement day will come soon and you will pay for everything you did to Caylee!!!

      JURY SPOKE. ALL of you brainwashed by MSM are not thinking: This child died in accident – drowned in pool – maybe the Grandmother’s fault who left ladder down; maybe the grandfather‘s fault who was ’watching child‘ maybe Casey’s fault…but child died. That’s tragic enough..the other tragedy was that this ‘trial was conducted by hysterical talk show ’talking heads’.

    Facts are facts. They did not prove withe vidence a relation to the death. Perhaps she did do it. If so, the eager DA should have compiled more before teh prosecution. Now, double jeapardy applies. They would need all new charges in a form to go after her.

    I feel her pain, I’m sick to my stomach over this verdict. I guess the new lesson for all future murders is to ensure that the prosecutors/pathologists cannot find a definitive cause of death.

    our media is despicable! Quit trying people in the press….let the justice system run its course! we were told for 3 years what a horrible person casey was, a slut, a horrible mother, every character assassination you could think of….and the justice system and jurors found differently. Just like straus kahn….you people in the media assassinated his reputation and took the word of the maid over him and found hi guilty before the trial started!

      I can’t say that I feel bad for either one of these people, neither one have gotten what is due to them. Strauss Kahn, head of the IMF who can’t keep his business in his pants…. Casey, a mother who does not report her child missing who then when the authorities begin an investigation only after the Grandmother reports the missing child leads the police on a wild goose chase providing one lie after another. Please I do not know one parent who would not be totally freaked if their 2 yr old child went missing, they would be doing everything in their power to find the child… As far as Strauss Kahn, just keep your eye on the IMF over the next years and you will soon realize that they are criminals all, and their crimes will be far worse than those he was accused of in New York… Life sometimes has a way of balancing things out, and I would chaulk his little fiasco up to life’s little balancing act.

      Her own pictures condemned her. She couldn’t have been tried in the media without the pictures of her partying while her daughter was lying in a watery grave with weeds coming out of her eye sockets. What is wrong with everyone. Those pictures of herself with the tatoo (bella vita) and the dancing condemned her. Who does that while their daughter is missing. Are you sleeping, are your senses dulled. Where is the outrage? I know the jury found her (not guilty) maybe they’re morons, probably are but I think the rest of the country is outraged and disgusted with our legal system. Smart lawyers will be glorified on top of Caylee’s mutilated and abandoned body left for animals to eat.

    Hey my kid drowned in the pool and died.
    Then my kid’s body was found in a bag buried in a wooded area, with weeds growing out of her face.
    I don’t know what happened between the 2 events but my daddy and my brother poked me when I was a child, so I party a lot

      Tell me about it. Unless there is video footage it looks like everyone has free reign to murder their own children. NEWSFLASH PEOPLE: Here’s what most likely really happened. Casey kills Caylee with no signs of remorse. Accident or not, doesn’t matter. She then hides her disappearance for as long as possible. Then she stages the body to make it look like she was kidnapped and murdered to more or less back up her abduction story. She gets lucky when there is no useful forensic evidence to suggest cause of death. Her P.O.S. lawyer tries to make everyone in court feel sorry for Casey instead of Caylee. It worked. The end. I really don’t give a dam@ who’s fault it was losing the prosecution. At the end of the day a child was KILLED and no one will face justice for it.

    I think you’ll find that the jury felt she was guilty in the childs death, but that it was an accident and not intentional. The charges were such that it was an all or nothing verdict. Since they did not find it to be intentional…she had to go free. If she had been charged with involuntary manslaughter, or (at the other end of the spectrum) depraved indifference…then there would have been a different outcome.

      The prosecution gave no alternatives to murder.

      Capitol one – w the death penalty – was a stretch – for trial –
      but I think the intention of the prosecution was to use the death penalty – as a means to get her to confess what actually occurred.

      There is never a findig of Innocent. One is always presumed innocent. Prosecution has the burden of providing evidence to prove guilt. Legally she has been innocent from the time she was arrested.

Well there‘s a little 2 year old that’s dead, with thousands of couples who would have given anything to have had her, even her disfunctional grandparents would probably taken her off Casey’s hands so she could whore around, but that selfish bitch didn‘t want the child and didn’t want anyone else to have her, so she just killed her and threw her away like so much excess baggage.

      I hope someone with a terminal illness seek‘s sweet little Casey out at one of the club’s shoots her in a couple of joints until she at least confesses to them, which she would when she thought bad things were really going to happen to her, then I would like to see them tie her hands behind her back, put duct tape on her mouth, then on one nostrel and then after giving life is good Casey plenty of time to figure out what’s up, place the tape on the other nostrel, leave it until she was almost suffocated then pull it off so she could breath, and do that a few times, then put it back on, with tape covering her mouth and both nostrel’s, slap a little red heart on it and maybe a smiley face for good measure, then say screw you bitch and walk away laughing.

      The verdict is in- handled in a Constitutional and American manner, so STFU . Not a thing you can do about it, even if you do have real honest evidence (which you should’ve brought up before the trial).
      Morons piss me off- talk about loving the country and the Constitution, but can’t abide by the decisons made in a Constitutional manner over something YOU are offended by. BFD: I‘m offended by your whining about a verdict and claiming it’s the end of America- fools: it’s what America is about.       She killed her daughter, she got away with it. Fact. Everyone knows she did it, the bottom line is, she purposely did not report it for 31 days to destroy evidence. Have any of you lived in Florida in June through August? I have. Then a tropical storm came through. There was no evidence because it was destroyed—willfully. If people would use their brains to piece together events logically, they would have come to this decision. However, too much time watching crime shows on TV has given the truly rationally challenged individuals the idea that ONLY forensic evidence and that alone can find guilt.
