Chargers Kicker Caught Relieving Himself on Sideline

It seems inconceivable that anyone would engage in such bad-karma-inducing behavior as public urination when playing a close game against the human wrecking ball of faith, fate and intangibles that is Tim Tebow. But that’s the kind of season the San Diego Chargers are having.
With time winding down during a crucial division matchup against the surging Denver Broncos, Chargers kicker Nick Novak took a knee not to mock Tebow, but to relieve himself on the sideline as the tied game was approaching overtime:
The superstitious types must have been throwing their remotes at the screen.
Novak would go on to miss his chance to win the game in overtime, kicking a 53-yard attempt short and wide. That was all the growing legend of Tim Tebow needed, as the unconventional lefty quarterback would then lead the Broncos down the field to set up a game winning 37-yard field goal for Matt Prater.
Next time Novak will likely hold it in.

Posted on November 28, 2011 at 10:39amRather lame attempt at bringing attention to Tebow. The story of the Denver Broncos turnaround is not Tim Tebow; it is the Denver Broncos defense. Led by the emergence of rookie Von Miller Denver’s defense has played like a top five NFL defense.

Right Denver’s rushing attack has nothing to do with Tebow, which is now #1 in the NFL and 100 ypg better than w/ Orton at the helm.

I think you’re being a little optimistic about your “barefoot in a park (around trees)” statement. In New York City, I see “average” looking guys stop and pee on any building which happens to be nearby. These aren’t drunkards or homeless folks, but “average” guys walking to and from the subways who suddenly feel the need. I think you got it right though – it is about how folks are raised.
While embarrassing, it isn’t like the guy walked out to the middle of the 50 yard line and “wrote his name in the snow.” You WOULD think that the NFL might have the funds to place a porta-john or two on the sidelines though.
….it suddenly became clear to his team mates why he wouldn’t ever stand next to them in certain areas on the field during practice…and if he got tackled in that area, he’d jump up like a little girl yelling, “Ewwww!! Ewwwww!” :^)

I guarantee that you would have done it in front of cameras if you were making a million plus salary and would have lost it if you decided to go to the ‘rest room’ at a time when an entire game could be decided by your kick. Truth is the cameras should have focused elsewhere as should The Blaze have done with this ‘story’. Wouldn’t you think the home teams should provide portable-potties?
