Who gives a rats @ss!! That should not even be addressed!!! That should NOT EVEN be an issue! This country is going down hill. There are more important things to be addressed. Who gives a s**t about what people do in the bedroom. And YES, please keep what you do in the bed to your self!

Posted on January 7, 2012 at 9:48pmTold you all.. Santorum is for a federal definition of marriage. “That’s what the constitution would say” This guy has no clue whatsoever.
Report Post »JimConstitution
Posted on January 7, 2012 at 10:00pmA Conservatarian, it’s a states rights issue. We all should re-read the 1st amendment as in “Congress shall make no law”… that means all else is for the states.
Report Post »A Conservatarian
Posted on January 7, 2012 at 10:13pmI agree it‘s a state’s right issue. Marriage has nothing to do with commerce between the states. If another state does not recognize your marriage, you do not have to do business with whatever person in said state, nor do you have the right to do business with whatever person in whatever state you wish. Saying this is the reason why we need a constitutional amendment and federal interference is more government over-reach and is classic BIG GOVERNMENT. Santorum is NOT a conservative. Right now we have certain states defining marriage differently and guess what, the world is not falling apart so long as the supreme court leaves the situation alone and refuses to hear cases about the issue that is not a federal matter!
Report Post »JimConstitution
Posted on January 7, 2012 at 10:40pmTrue, but I think we need do get rid of some amendments instead of adding more. The founders looked to God. We today look to scientist and educators of absolute truth and we get evolution and situational ethics. Those that think they are so educated should re-read the Declaration of Independence and look on those old building that have scripture after scripture and reverence to God. Congress actually bought bibles for states and held protestant church services in federal buildings, but you would not know it by teachers that seem to think they need us to pay them more.
Report Post »colt1860
Posted on January 7, 2012 at 11:03pmA marriage license is just a tool for the State to control the finances of their Citizens. It’s in a sense a three party contract. Marriage can always be defined by legal interpretation and lawful acceptance of Courts. How did we function without state managed marriages for more than 150 years? Our cherished Common Law, in most part based on Christian or Biblical principles (Anglo-Saxon law), defined Marriage as one man and one woman, united for Life. Simple. It was the Progressives that decided to create marriage licenses to further control the couple’s finances and offspring. Marriage Licenses also have their history in Progressives wanting the Law to accept biracial marriages, this then led to all marriages being licensed, under statutory law, because they saw the effectiveness to control two free individuals united for life in one uniform State controlled process, with now the State having a say in most of the couple’s private and public decisions, especially those of a financial nature. Marriage Licenses were never a Conservative idea. As I said before, Marriage can always be defined by legal interpretation and lawful acceptance by Courts, as it always had been before, within the Common Law. In this country we’ve had three types of recognized marriages. Civil law, Common law, and Patriarchal (Biblical). With Civil requiring licenses, Common law requiring mutual consent and witnesses, and Patriarchal requiring permission from the father of the bride.
Report Post »West Coast Patriot
Posted on January 7, 2012 at 11:21pmColt, good post. Common law would also be good if we could return to the concept that there is no crime unless there is an offended party. That would make us free again.

Posted on January 7, 2012 at 10:04pmWhy was Paul defending blacks who commit crimes? I’m sure they thought it was worth it if they wanted some new bling or rims. Complete free will. If you’ve got bail money or money for Jose Baez, then you have no worries, but if all the money was spent on weed or spinning rims and you happen to be black, then you might go to prison. Fast money, fast trip to prison. Real clear. Real Simple.
Report Post »kryptonite
Posted on January 7, 2012 at 10:16pmRon Paul wants to redistribute prison time from the 99% of blacks who got there by choice, to the majority of white males who have chosen not to commit crimes. According to Ron Paul, blacks are being unfairly targeted because of skin color, since it is whites who do most of the drug dealing. Paul is a populist looking for the minority vote and lying to get it, just like Obama.

Posted on January 7, 2012 at 10:50pm@KRYPTONITE That is not what Paul went..he said that it is unfair to blacks because they are the ones doing most of the time..As I understand it..it would cut down on the cost of imprisonment..because it would be robbers and murderers and people convicted of theft and assault going to prison..In California recently they were going to start turning out prisoners. Not sending non violent persons to prison makes sense..not only from the racial perspective, but from the economic perspective..Our government has been on the verge of shutting down.

Posted on January 8, 2012 at 12:46amASHES,
Here’s the direct quote from Paul:
“I’m the only one up here and the only one in the Democratic Party [HA, HA, HA] that understands True racism in this country. It’s in the judicial system and it has to do with enforcing the drug laws. Look at the percentages. The percentage of people who use drugs are about the same as [sic] blacks and whites. And yet the blacks are arrested WAY disproportionately. They’re prosecuted and imprisoned WAY disproportionately. They get the death penalty WAY disproportionately. How many times have you seen a WHITE rich person get the electric chair or get… you know, execution?”
Now tell me in all honesty how ANY of what Paul just said is not exactly what Obum would say? The man is just doing damage control for the magazine stuff. He is a lying, conniving instigator.
P.S. I really liked that Freudian slip about being the only one in the DEMOCRATIC Party. Priceless.

Posted on January 7, 2012 at 9:34pmTrue, Drakkhanlord, Rubio and Santorum are not NBC. One must have a mother and father that are citizens to be a Natural Born Citizen, otherwise the child is a citizen only. A citizen can not hold office of the president or VP. Posted on January 7, 2012 at 11:54pmThe NBC thing is being distorted. The parent’s citizenship is, under current Supreme Court rulings, irrelevant if the child was born on US soil. It’s also irrelevant in the case of Obama, as his mother was a US citizen, and Santorum falls under the same rule – only one parent must be a US citizen to pass it on, as the child then has dual natural born citizenship in both countries and chooses one upon turning 18.
