Chavez Responds: Invites Obama to ‘Eat Socialist Arepas’ With Him

A few days ago we tried to sort through President Obama’s bizarre “joke” about diverting Air Force One to go visit Hugo Chavez in Venezuela.

We should you some of the tweets from bewildered reporters:

Well now Hugo Chavez is responding.  In Spanish of course:

Translation comes via the Daily Caller:

“Well, Obama, if you said that,” Chávez remarked, “we’ll receive you here. I’d shake your hand again.”

The Venezuelan leader, who has abolished term limits and shut down independent media outlets, praised Obama for his charisma and invited the American leader to come to Venezuela.

“I hope you’d land in Maiquetía [Venezuela’s main airport] one day,” Chávez remarked on live television. “We would embrace you, you know.”

Chávez went on, jovially stating that, were Obama to pay him a visit, both leaders would “sit down to talk, to eat socialist arepas,” a corn-based pancake popular in the country.

    I guess that they will continue their war against AZ immigration laws behind closed doors . Far away from the white house, you know where our president is supposed to be. Except he can’t seem to find the time because he likes to travel all over the world and plot with world leaders against his own country. Besides he seems to enjoy spending tax-payers money on his extravagant trips. Hmmmmmmmm, what is he up to? And why are all these things happening at once? sorus denouncing obama, TSA controversey, progressives admitting that they are socialist, Rockefeller calling for MSNBC and Fox news to be taken off the air…They’re just full of surprizes lateely, but what is really going on? We need to be paying attention.

    Is there any doubt they would get along famously ? There is a certain Gas station,I can’t remember the Company but they use exclusive Venezuelan Petroleum. I’m almost tired from hearing about the things this guy YOUR President screwed up. A total embarrasement to the Office of President of the United States in every way.

    WE didn’t Vote for Obama,and so many paople have yet to understand WHY he was so bad a choice.
    Just the cattle,and the REAL Racists and “Oh My” Liberals. If anyone had done any homework No one would have voted for him. This is the Country that was Most liiked up to,Admired by LEGAL Immigrants. Mostly from Europe,and Feared by our enemies. Barry has done 50 years of damege in 2 Years. The best is YET to come.     BOLD, oh, they are becoming so bold. Has Chavez been invited to stay in Lincoln’s bedroom yet? Perhaps even something more obvious? Like lighting the Christmas tree or offering dispensation to the chosen Thanksgiving turkeys.

    Although I don’t speak nor understand Spanish, I was impressed with Hugo’s speaking ability. I wonder does he require a teleprompter? Perhaps that is why Obomba wants to visit. Speech lessons.

      It’s not a speech, per se. Tyrants are narcissists and usually love to hear themselves blather for hours on end. You are right, though, that Obama is too stupid to do even that. It must be very frustrating for him to have to depend on a teleprompter to spit out one full sentence.

    I’m sure that Barackus Hubris Maximus would just -love- to be even half the dictator that Hugo Chavez has easily transformed himself into. Perhaps Barackus wants to stop in and see Hugo for some tips on how to quickly and decisively turn democracy on its head and deftly seize ownership of anything and everything that will turn a buck for himself and the government while at the same time muzzling all critics and the disenchanted (ie: the sheeple that were so easily baffled by his bull excrement).

    I believe Barackus undoubtedly admires Hugo. There can be no other explanation.

      Repeal the Bill. Pass legislation to revise/limit the bill. Whatever it takes. And the same goes for the Unpatriotic Act.

      Ever have one of those days when everything seems to happen at once? The kids misbehave with a vegance, the dog gets the poopys, the cat trips you, the washer floods, the dryer stops, etc etc etc.
      Well, that is what is happening now to all of us. Only it is coming from the WH and the Dems. Just pile it on until we are so damn tired and strung out, all we can do is sit back and do nothing. We know it will stop soon and a normal day will follow. When that normal day comes, it will be too late to matter. The damage has been done. We see the enemy and they have captured us.
