Cheney harsh on GOP field, wants Hillary to run in ‘12

Is there anyone Dick Cheney actually likes in politics? In his newly-released memoir “In My Time” the former vice president said Condoleezza Rice misled George W. Bush on some foreign policy issues, he said Colin Powell undermined the administration and now he’s going after the GOP presidential primary field.

But there‘s one gal he’s had some kind words for (to the extent that Cheney has been giving compliments lately): Hillary Clinton.

Cheney recently said of Clinton on Fox News Sunday that “perhaps she might have been easier for some of us who are critics of the president to work with.” And in an interview with ABC News set to air tonight, He said she should challenge President Obama for the Democratic nomination:

“[Clinton] is a pretty formidable individual.  And I think she’s probably the most competent person they’ve got in their cabinet,” he said. “Maybe if the Obama record is bad enough, and these days it’s not very good, given the shape of the economy, maybe there will be enough ferment in the democratic party so that there will be a primary on their side.  I think it’d be good for the country.  I think it’d be good for the Democratic party and it might be the Republicans.”

During the chat, Cheney also says Rick Perry should tone back the “over-the-top” rhetoric and Michele Bachmann shouldn’t make “hard and fast” predictions on gasoline prices

    I’ve lost alot of respect for both Bush & Cheney. He really believes a Saul Alinsky lover is good for the country? Both Bill & Hillary are power, money hungry narcissists. The country is only a means to an end for so many filthy politicians. No integrity, no honor, no honesty, NO SOUL! It’s going to take honorable, dedicated, and elightened people to hold on to this republic. I pray everyday that 1,000 more people everyday shake off their apathy and join the good fight. God bless America!

      Yeah, what’s he talking about? The obvious choice for a primary opponent to the hard-left Obumbler is the center-left Huntsman, I was just watching MSNBC debate post-mortum and a prof. from Tulane said that huntsman would be a challenging primary opponent to Obama. She said “primary” opponent, not “general” opponent — at the very least, a significant Freudian slip.

      Has he moved to the hard left?? Those of us who pay attention KNOW that she is just allowing Obama to screw up as much as possible while she stays in the shadows and suddenly emerges as the progressive Goddess who will come to “clean up” all the messes he made. Only the version of clean up will be to establish a dictatorship once and for all. At the same time, you can impeach a man-woman a lot quicker than you can a race-based president.

      I told you so….Cheney is part of the game plan to put Hillary on the Dem ticket in ‘12.

      This has all been a setup for the last 30 years. As Glenn points out, the Progressives have kept the ball in their court, trying to convince America that the D‘s are different than the R’s. They ALL have the same goals. Bush1 passes the ball to Clinton1 who passes the ball to Bush2 who passes the ball to Obama. The next step is Clinton2. She’s been in the wings, polishing her image and just waiting for the “right time” to come out into the spotlight.

      Just watch….Cheney is just setting up the pins.

    Hillary Clinton.. I wouldn’t trust another Democrat in office ever… not after what they have done the last 3 years. For many years I voted one way or the other.. it was who I felt was the best, the most honest.. not alot of the won.. but I was always thankful I hadn’t voted for the ones who did win! For those were the ones who were either non trustworthy or immoral!! Nixon had these beady little eyes that just never spoke the truth..right down to Clinton who had the worst morals ever.. Kennedy was another, but I was to young to vote then!! I want a president who has morals who loves this country, who has commonsense and tells it like it is!

    He is the only one who came out to hammer Obama at the get go…you need to listen to what he says, not read. Tone and inflection, including physical motions and moves is part of anyone’s speaking abilities.

    Basically he is telling you that the far left is doomed and that they selected an idiot to run the US…yes Hillary would have been a better selection and yes she as opposed to Obozo would have been a better selection…with that stated…any REP will win this race. JIMHO

    Book sales must be slow as is all other business.Why do these guys have to make fools of themselves? Why does he have to trash people now?I am no fan of Bush ,but he at least kept his dignity.
    I beleive they are both mental midgets compared to Rice.

    I watched the interview and I don’t remember hearing Cheney say he “liked” Hillary. The question was posed to him and he stated Hillary “would have probably been easier to work with”.

    I believe Cheney has more “tea” in him than most people are willing to admit. It just so happens that he’s rich and accomplished and that gets him into the “elitist” category, unfortunately. Remember, he never got to call all the shots, so we don’t really know how he would govern in that role. My guess is more like Reagan, less like Bush.

      What do you mena becoming a progressive? He’s been a progressive. Almost everyone who’s been in government for more than a few years is a progressive. They start to think that the government is the answer to every problem. We need people who understand the legitimate roll of government, which is the preservation of freedom, not the control of the people.

    I have muncho respect for the VP. If his suggestion is meant to divide the Democrats, then perhaps that stratagem would work. If however he is sincere about the wicked witch of NY being easier to work with, then he must be smoking some of those Wyoming cow flowers. Thunder thighs Clinton is distinguishable from Obama by nothing. Both are adherents of the Alinsky school of radical politics. Both are voracious advocates of killing babies in the womb. Both are extreme progressives who would damage to their country before allowing their idiotic base to flounder. About the only difference I can see is that Hillary is merely a disciple of evil. Obama on the other hand may very well be the true embodiment of Rosemary’s Baby hurriedly building the proverbial “hand basket to hell”

    It wasn’t a Ponzi scheme until big government (including Cheney) STOLE the money that WE were putting in a separate account (out of the hands of the thieves known as politicians). Social Security is NOT an entitlement even though the crooked politicians started calling it that to distract us from paying attention that they STOLE our money that WE put aside in a private account to pay for OUR retirement (NOT THEIRS!). They have no right to it and I say that we charge every politician that has taken our money for their own personal use, including their retirement, and have every single one of them put in prison for at least 40 years if they do not put every bit of that money back into the private account that was created, away from the theiving hands of the politicians. Also the Fed NEEDS to be defunded and disbanded and let us handle our own money. In other mention, Cheney is just like all the other elitist politicians in government and WE THE PEOPLE don’t care to hear anything from them ever again. God Bless our Constitution in it’s GODLY form just as the Founding Fathers wrote it to be!!!

    I didn’t take it like he wanted Hillary to be the next President — he meant she‘d be far better to work with re what’s best for the country & for her to challenge Obama & be the one to run in 2012 instead of Obama – so we could be rid of him even if she won (which she wouldn’t). He’d still want a Repub. to win…but a moderate one. He isn’t a “social Consv.” – think he’s prochoice & for gay rights.
    Don’t agree about what he said about Perry – needs to be said if it’s true. But agree about Condie & Colin – don’t like them & think they were very naive and not wise about foreign policy, etc. Think he is very patriotic and did the best he knew how & I feel sorry that he has had to endure very unfair treatment, disrespect & slander.
    As for Hillary – I agree about her being better than Obama even though I can’t stand her either – she lies almost as bad as Obama. Personally I think it’s a good possibility that they will run her and not Obama. The writing is on the wall about him and many Dems don’t want him to run.

    WHo know’s, I doubt Dick wouldn’t say something like this without an idea. That would create WW 3 for the Dem’s to hash it out. Can you imagine what the slime balls would do to bash Hillary. Than again, Dick does seem favorable to the NWO concepts and we know how greedy the dieing SOB is. Maybe …… WAIT, HOld the Pres !! I got it . It is the emporer George Soro’s who has had Darth Vader, Dick Cheney agree to join the dark side in exchange for that special vest and devices he showed on Hannity, to save his life. I suspect if we wish to find our Republican Candidate, maybe we need to look into Dick‘s past and see if he hadn’t had an affair that produced a son out of wed lock. Hmmmm..       Im coming to the conclusion that we have seriously passed the point where the ruling class believes they are sooooo superior, that they want to just cancel the next election process, and just hand pick the next leader from the pool of idiots within the DC borders… apparently we, the people, are too stupid to know who to vote for or what is Best for us…. mark my words, if Obamas poll numbers drop another 5 pct, there will be a catastrophic political event, that will postpone the next election, and he will just DEEM himself the next president until the CRISIS is over… ( meaning, when he dies, and Moisha and Laquisha are prepared to carry on his legacy)

    Cheney needs to learn how to breathe better IMO.Every time the man speaks, it sounds like he doesn’t get enough oxygen. As an EKG tech myself, I know this causes a lack of oxygen(ischemia) to the heart and lungs. This could be the source of his heart illness. Maybe someone should introduce him to yoga or Zen breathing techniques.Or better yet just tell him remember to breath. He should retire out of politics because he ain’t got the wind for it.
