It is just after 11:30 on Friday night and Adam Smith has sent an email with a link to his official video response to the all of the events that followed his protest of Wednesday‘s ’Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.’ The clip, nearly eight minutes in length, opens with an apology to Rachel, the woman who was working the window at the drive-thru.
Smith did speak with The Blaze exclusively today and was quite candid in many of his responses. You can read that interview here.

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 12:57amHe is certainly sincere now that he has been punished. Honestly, we have all been in his position at some point over some stupid thing, where we acted inappropriately and were called out on it. It’s embarrassing that his family and employers are receiving threats over this, and I don’t doubt they are since this was posted on Stormfront.
Hopefully government will get out of the marriage business so that people can decide who they want to marry without DOMA or Harry Reid or whoever/whatever telling us how we should live our lives.

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 7:50amWhen I was about to get married in the military, I had to submit a request with the information on my husband to be. I had to get “approval” from the government to get married. This was because I had a security clearance. A friend of mine got refused because her fiance had a drinking problem.
That’s government being in the marriage business, not defining marriage as between a man and a woman. If you don’t define it, you’ll have perverts marrying their toasters.

What a bunch of bull… This was nothing more than him taking
advantage of getting fired ..And to be put in the spotlight again.
To get one more jab in against Chick-Fil-A ..and against the
supporters of Chick Fil – A …
Then he BLAMES the supporters by saying it was their support
for Chick -Fil-A that caused his tirade ….
He didn’t OWN IT……HE DEFLECTED ..!
His apology rang empty ..Then he goes on to grade her on her
handling of the situation…like she is one of his student…
UNFRICKENBELIEVABLE.
Here is the skinny on this jerk.
He WAS a bigoted part-time militant-activist that lost his meal ticket..
Now he‘s a bigoted full-time militant-activist without a meal ticket…
LOOKING to get another gig…
And that’s the only driving force in his apology..
In his mind and apparently YOUR’S too, it’s about what happened
HIM and HIS family…
Not what he did to that poor girl…
And soon as this twit gets a new job he will retract his apology ..
You liberals have a way of turning around a situation that makes
everyone else the aggressors and you the victims and it’s sickening.
His apology was nothing more than theatrical garbage…!
And I aint buying any of it.

Now that he’s issued this apology, then yes, he should try to see her face to face to make it really personal. I see this video as a way to open the door to her. The Heterophobic community are not interested in equal rights, They want
special rights. Being Married in a Church by a priest is not a right, It is a privileged

desecrate the Church & they know it. Gay marriage is a lie, Its an attack on the church.

You can still see the anger and hatred he has for those of us who stood with our brother David Cathy who simply said what he believed. There is this disconnect with the gay community and those who support it. They seem to think because we think homosexuality is a sin just like other sins we “hate” them. You see, they think homosexuality is a choice not brokenness. There is a fine line between loving the unbelieving sinner and trying to “appeal” to them. Let’s not forget, the cornerstone of society is family the way God intended. For those in the gay community we can reach with love, let us reach them. But let us be gentle as doves and wise as serpents also in dealing with their destructive agenda.

Regardless of his reasons for posting a second video, he did the responsible thing by apologizing. (Those who continue to pour salt on the wound are not truly freedom loving Americans … or Christians for that matter.)
What he still doesn’t seem to understand is why so many people showed up to support Chick-fil-A. Although some people were there to support Cathy’s stance on traditional marriage, there were many more of us there to stand up against the uber left’s knee jerk reaction to take down innocent people by boycotting and bullying the employees of all franchises, which are small businesses owned by their neighbors. Most Americans believe marriage is only between 1 man & 1 woman. Everyone has to take responsibility for their words & actions; there are always consequences for it. Maybe if you talked like that, you would have to make that statement. Since people are so quick to judge, you have to clarify your beliefs, and even sexuality. This includes intimidation by a another citizen but more ominously by government who in this case and much too often in this administration and even in the Bush admin. openly displayed their distain for people who voiced a different view than theirs and then wielded their authoritarian power to threaten, intimidate and coerce a business owner to go against his/her moral code or risk losing their business and be denied a permit to expand their business in a certain town city or village. This is fascism, my friends and the uber progressive. flock of people who squawk of inequality and injustice for their gay “friends” but conversely think nothing of doing the same thing to innocent Christians who espouse their moral beliefs and then stick to them. I’m sure the company had him sign an agreement of employment that stated something to the effect that he could be terminated based on unfavorable public conduct. He was not fired for his position on gay marriage; he was fired for treating an innocent drive-through attendant with disrespect. And then this smug putz was so proud of himself that he wanted to share it with the world. I suspect his behavior at Chick-fil-A was an example of how he treats his fellow coworkers. Posted on August 5, 2012 at 2:28pmEifer ; The definition of marriage is one man and one woman marrying each other in The Holy Sacrament of Marriage. This is the traditional basis of marriage and no other ceremony in The Bible speaks of any marriage occurring between a same sex couple. To have a “ marriage ” one person is required to be male and one is required to be female , this is the definition. Every stae that has had this put to the vote has had the issue settled at the ballot box by the voters. While you may not like this and will try to ignore the voters with appeals to left leaning judges. The issue has been resolved. Wishful thinking will not change this. The struggle that blacks had for equality was not the same thing! Most blacks still do not want your vision of equal rights, it is an insult to them and your continued use of this equality argument is further eroding your own stated cause. God says marriage is one man and one woman. Government is not the impediment for you ; it’s God Whom opposes your stance. Sodom and Gomorrah were destored by God for the offenses now deemed socially accepted by portions of the ” progressive ‘ society you are a part of. Chick-Fil-A has only supported what God supports. Just because you do not agree with God or Chick does not mean you are correct in your views. Adam, I know your apology to be sincere and I even can understand and empathize with the way you felt when you drove up to Chick-fil-A that cause you to react, despite that I am on opposite views from you. I hope that you can understand however, that just like that girl (whose views we do not know, just to point out), most Christians are not full of hate like the media propoganda would have you believe. We (most of us) just think that the whole lifestyle is immoral and wrong.
Many of us also do not believe that any rights are being violated. Marriage is a basic and sacred union between a man and a woman to carry on the family line. Homosexual couples cannot do that, and therefore have no basic right that is being violated. In most states, civil unions were favored by voters, but activists want their relationships to be declared the same as a man and a woman when they are not. They also want us to teach our children it is normal behavior when it is not. This isn’t hate, any more than you actually hate anyone on either side. I don’t think you really do, do you?
To all Christians out there, if any of you are acting hateful to this man, please stop. We have all made dumb mistakes. He is appologizing, and forgiveness is exactly what Christ asks of us. It doesn’t matter what you think he DESERVES, Christ forgives him. That is exactly what He came on earth to do, forgive us . This is the real meaning of “Judge not, lest ye be judg

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 11:37amAn addendum to your post… Marriage is an institution created by God for man and woman, period. It was to sanctify the union of man and woman with all of the rights (sexual relations being one of them), and responsibilities (propagation of the species being one). Sexual relations outside of marriage is called “fornication” and is a sin. There are also degrees of sin, abomination being the most vile in Gods eyes (of which homosexuality is one specifically mentioned in the Bible).
Sincere apology or not, there are consequences to our actions. Forgiveness does not relieve those consequences, and forgiveness does not mean “forgetting” the offense. You do not take a genuinely repentant pedophile and make him/her a kindergarten teacher. The forgiveness offered, does not have to be accepted by the offender either, it is for our own benefit and is not requisite upon acceptance.
Also, every time Jesus forgave someone, He also said, “Go and sin no more.” If this person was so moved to act this way by looking at a group of people from a distance that were peacefully gathering to show support and were not carrying signs, chanting, taunting or otherwise acting out, imagine him with a group of leftist agitators working the crowd into a frenzy and tell me if you believe that he would not act in the same manner and possibly worse. True repentance requires a turning away from that sin.

I still stand with Chick-fil-A and all it‘s franchises to do business and employees’ right to work and have an opinion. If their opinion bothers someone, the solution is simple … go down the road to the next fast food restaurant and buy their chicken sandwich instead. Posted on August 4, 2012 at 6:32pmTeresa, the ONLY reason he is apologizing is because of the subsequent backlash. In the video while he waits in the car, he clearly says he can’t wait to get up to the drive-thru. This was a planned attack and bullying of this young girl. Now he says he didn’t wake up wanting to do this? Yes he did as evidenced on the first video of him bullying this young girl. We can all disagree, but unlike Adam Smith, we do not wake up and bully and berate an innocent person. This apology is unacceptable and he deserved to get fired.

We don’t agree with his positions, but just as Mr. Cathy does and you and I, he has a right to hold this opinion. I don’t think it detracts at all. And it also gives us good insight into the man.

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 2:14amKenszen, I didn‘t say he couldn’t present his explanation. But, he perhaps should have posted two videos: one to apologize for his behavior and the other to explain his views. By coupling these things into one video, he detracts from the act of the apology. It comes across as “I am sorry, but here all my excuses for my crass behavior and CFA is bad….” He should have left the apology unfettered by the other stuff. The way this video comes across is that he really isn’t sorry. An apology should not leave us wondering if he was truly sorry for his behavior.

I think Smith is simply trying to get this mess he created to settle down but he is not at all sorry because he rambles on about how “WE” all need to set aside our ‘hate’ and move for social justice and how bad a corporation Chick Fil A is.
He ranted about a collective social hatred rather than his problems. Smith should have said: “I saw the video and the responses. I am shocked at my outburst and I am NOT a nice guy after all. I will have to live with my bad actions for the rest of my life. I did not like the person in the video either and unfortunately it is myself. Since the early 1960′s I have watched my country change, not for the better. I know that it wasn’t perfect then but it seems to me that it was much better than now. Americans need to realize that we need to all pull together to bring Our Country out of the abyss it is spiraling into before it’s too late.

The thing is, he really seems to believe what he’s saying. He thinks his basic actions (other than being rude to the young woman) are OK. What he fails to see is that he feels one way–very strongly–but Mr. Cathy believes just as strongly in his beliefs as he does. Yet it isn’t Mr. Cathy who has called for an actual boycott or any actions that might intentionally HURT another person’s business. There’s the difference, Mr. Smith!
The truth is you are BOTH free to your own thoughts/views/beliefs. But contrary to what you claim, even though he gives to charities who share his beliefs, he nor they set out to hurt or ruin anyone. You can fight FOR bills or laws. Others can fight AGAINST bills or laws. It’s America yet!
But to set out to actually hurt a business–and in the process YOU hurt an individual (see what happens?) is WRONG. THAT is the lesson you need to learn, Mr. Smith. And I hope you do.

How we have lost our values as a country and think you can be in your face to anyone you want. The left think we will just bow down and shiver because, GASP, they might call us RACIST. Now this guy has made the mistake of his life, lost his jobs, and also he has 4 kids, 2 of whom are special needs.
I say as Christians, we need to show the guy some forgiveness and mercy. Yes he is a Dumb A$$, but him and his family is paying for it. Obviously, like someone else on this site posted, Pride comes before the fall. Now he may understand and show a little contriteness, maybe even learn a life lesson.
I for one, foregive him, and hope his family the best.

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 9:45pmSo he should be at work earning money to take care of his family instead of planning to bully and berate an innocent employee of a fast food resturant. All of you who talk about stopping the hate for Adam Smith fail to mention the woman he bullied. Where is your sympathy for the girl he bullied? Adam Smith acted and his actions have consequences. The girl at the drive-thru is innocent. Point your sympathy in her direction, NOT his!!

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 8:12pmWell good . . . let him has his free speech and stop condemning him for what he said. He did nothing wrong for christ sake. All he did was express his opinion. I expressed my opinion to a DirectTV rep last week and felt bad afterword, but what is done is done. You social cons need to stop thinking you are the ole high and mighty and actually come back to reality and understand that humans make mistakes.

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 3:32amHow weird. I didn’t get that at all. I heard him say he was sorry to the young lady and then he did say he was sidng with the gay rights issue which is basically gay marriage. I didn’t hear anything about him schooling the public. There is no “rights” for any marriage except traditionally in this country we have accepted marriage is between a man and a woman and that is what the Bible teaches. It also teaches us to love our neighbor. The Bible also teaches forgiveness. My opinion is we don’t need the govt. deciding this for us and ultimately I think gays wouldn’t either. Just think though. They should not have to pay school taxes nor be charged the same as straight couples with other taxes. That is not fair, is it? Way past my bedtime. Say goodnight Granny. Goodnight.

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 4:19pmI‘m heterosexual woman and I can’t marry a woman either if I wanted to. So, basically, we all have the same human rights.

On the bright side of this story, Rachel proved to have maturity and grace. If I had a business, I’d hire her in a heartbeat!

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 12:15amAmazing how liberals don‘t care for the spotlight they create when that spotlight isn’t directed at that object they intended. Liberals, you are responsible for your actions just as we are responsible for ours.

Posted on August 6, 2012 at 2:07pmWhat Adam was really trying to say to Rachel is “Being gay means never having to say your sorry.” in an effort to explain his loony actions.
In any event this guy need professional help.

Posted on August 4, 2012 at 12:11amAdam, I commend for your apology, however, I would like to point out that most of the Chick-fil-A employees are like Rachel. What you experience from her were Christian values and Christian love. Unfortunately, the emails your getting are not, and the writers probably are not Christian either. I hope you find a new job in this Obama economy.
