Chinese Rescuers Grab Suicidal Man as He Jump From Top of Hospital

A troubled young man in Ningbo City, eastern China was rescued during a suicide attempt, according to state media.
The 23-year-old man was attempting to jump from the top of a 13-storey hospital building, standing outside the roof’s railings and holding on with only his hands
Rescue workers, firefighters and police officers were unsuccessfully trying to console and coax the emotional man out of jumping.
Just as he was about to let go, rescue workers used ropes, harnesses and their hands to grab him before hauling him back to safety.
State media said he had tried to kill himself after quarrelling with his girlfriend.

Unfortunately, his fate in some government rehabilitation camp, medical institution or penal colony will make him realize that “attempted suicide” can be as fatal as leaping off a roof in China.

This guy is the one who MIGHT one day get to an “oh, crap” moment and actually suicide. It‘s the people who don’t have an audience or who take their pills and then don’t call 911 who have a plan and are so hard to screen for. The attention whores are a dime a dozen. Eh, maybe I‘m jaded with all the song and dance routines I’ve seen over the years. These folks are exhausting. It’s often the sign of coping skills that stopped developing around puberty. So much fun to endure. I sometimes darkly think to myself “Don’t make a mess!”
