Chinese Teen Offers to Trade Virginity for iPhone 4

When Steve Jobs lured John Sculley away from Pepsi to become Apple’s president he famously said “do you want to sell sugar water for the rest of your life or do you want to come with me and change the world.” I’m not sure this is what he had in mind.
The Korean Herald reports that a female jiulinghou, referring to those born during the 90′s, tweeted on Weibo (Chinese Twitter) that she is willing to sell her virginity to anyone that buys her a iPhone 4.
“The Guangdong teen has posted a picture of herself along with other basic personal information saying she is willing to ‘sell’ her virginity to anyone that buys her a iPhone 4.
Her post has received negative feedback, pointing out that a phone is not worth what she giving in exchange. Others think that someone is using her account and pulling a malicious prank on the girl.
Last April, a 17 year old boy from Anhui bought himself an iPad and cellphone by selling a kidney for 22,000 yuan ($3,400).”
The article states that the girl has turned to such means because her father won’t let her get iPhone 4, even though it is her dream. To defend the 17-year-old boy, you do get two kidneys.
Curbing modern day materialism…….Is there an app for that?

Who are we to be the moral police. Some of the people I often see talk about our liberties and freedoms going away are awfully quick to critisize or name call. I certainly wouldnt do it myself nor would I be happy if my daughter pulled a stunt like that but again, who am I to judge. That decision is between her and her maker imho.
