Crazy Video: Chinese 3-Year-Old Is a Better Driver Than Most Adults

Imagine the following scenario: Your three-year-old child, riding nothing but a standard issue Big Wheel or toy bike, decides to take a jaunt on the open road and ends up in the middle of a busy highway intersection at Rush Hour, driving in the Bike Lane, only to attempt to cross that very intersection as buses and cars whiz past at far increased speeds and blind spots that could easily swallow the child’s tiny frame.

Under most circumstances, you’d expect this story to end in a gory tragedy. Instead, the following video – captured on the Chinese Highway System by Russia Today – shows just such a pint-sized three year old deftly weaving between passing cars, motorcycles and even two full-size buses. Perhaps most adorably of all, the tyke appears entirely unperturbed by the experience after being returned to his grandfather by police:

Check out this still from the video depicting the kid on his bike, in a pose that can only be described as nonchalant:

This reminds me of the old commercial with the baby in his walker (Google it). Thank God the little one didn’t get hurt.

Does anyone remember this video? This is what happens in China when the child isn’t so lucky.

Want to know why not a single person stopped and halted traffic in order to protect the boy? Because in Communist China, if it isn’t your job, you will be punished, even prosecuted, for taking such action. And we all know (or at least should know) that Socialism leads to Communism. Still want a Socialist in the White House?

This doesn’t surprise me. The average Chinese person is much smarter than the average American.

So is that why they live in community housing with one sink and toilet for 20 residents and their government is socialist? What we saw here was a lack of brains by everyone involved. First off, why was the kid able to bike off into the street? Second, how come no one stopped to grab this kid and take him to safety and find his parents? You know damn well that a 3 year old crossing the street by himself would send up red flags in every red-blooded American’s head and that boy would never have been put in as much danger as he was.

Also, next time you are in a college lecture being taught by a Chinese graduate student, please let me know how “smart” they are. Even when you have another Chinese student translating for you, you will never get a straight or decent answer. The same goes for Vietnamese graduate students. They are no smarter than anyone else and I attribute any edged they have over us to the shear numbers of them that there are.

Yeah, I‘m not sure if Brian’s comment was sarcasm or not.

The funny thing is the police officer at the end of the video. Having lived in China, I can assure you that these officers only maintain a pretense of law enforcement in China. The myriad of cops like this are only for visual effect. It creates jobs for the masses of Chinese citizens, but little actual law enforcement with these types actually takes place. As was shown here, the cop is talking to what appears to be a relative of the child and says “It was this automobile”, pointing to the little bike. The adult man thanks him, shakes his hand, and the cop feels good for having corrected the issue and having made society safe. These cops drive around China with their lights constantly flashing (not just when pulling people over). This type of law enforcement is a huge joke over there.

The real guys…the ones that people are afraid of….the ones that really enforce law….those don’t wear blue uniforms with nice hats in cars with flashing lights. Instead, they have luxury sedans, tinted windows, and suits….and they don’t give many warnings or handshakes.

I agree with GMOSS. In America, He would have been taken away from his parents and his parents would have been taken to jail, lost their jobs, bankrupted, and lives ruined.

Actually, there are several videos that the Blaze has posted where animals ARE trying to stop and help other fallen animals (or humans). So that leaves us with Progressives, who are apparently lower than the animals.

Ahhh but the real trick in China is crossing against the grain, perpendicular to the flow of traffic. That’s like that old, very old video game “Frogger”. Try not to go splat.

He’ll grow up to be a taxi driver someday. That traffic was CALM compared to what I’ve seen in China.

The reaction of the chinese authorities is far less oppressive than what the US (CPS) would do. Go figure.

I can,t believe that no one stopped to get the child out of the road…..They just drove on by and let the child remain in danger.

Yeah, my kids walked themselves to the grocery store to buy candy when they were little and CPS was at our door. Our neighbor, who was the manager, tried to have his wife bring them home but a customer had already called CPS. They did all this while I was in the shower and knew the way because we had biked there many times.
