Chris better be thinking about some bodyguards, because the UNIONS won’t let him survive long enough to hurt him. Once we get someone in office we should force them to start dismanteling UNIONS. They were good in the first days. But now they have just become another money eating machine. Instead of giving all that money to the politicians, they should have given it to the employees. That way some of them might have kept their jobs a while longer. But just like socialists the UNIONS have only one agenda and that’s to get more money for the corrupt leaders.

Gov. Christie’s courageousness, candor and ability to get things done is most admirable and I was drawn to his story as many are. Upon further research, he supports cap and trade and amnesty for illegals. That’s a problem. He endorsed Mike Castle in Delaware. That’s a problem.

There is more to this man than meets the eye at first glance. I want to hear more from him on the issues that will change my life and our country.

Thank you for your comments. Part of our problems now are because so many people jumped into the boat with OBAMA before they knew who or what was in the boat. We CANNOT make that mistake again. We need to make sure who our Captain is before we jump in!! For the problems we are facing in our Republic–there is no American or earthly SAVIOUR. To turn back the people who wish our country harm, we have a lot of hard work to do and it is going to have to be from all of us. Just remember, when all else is shaken–or all else fails–Let brotherly love survive!!!

The liberal talking heads, who are still analyzing every development as if it were five years ago, need to keep in mind this paradigm shift that has occurred in New Jersey–and in Massachusetts. If conservative Chris Christie can be elected in New Jersey, exactly what makes them think that Christine O‘Donnell can’t be elected in Delaware? If anything, New Jersey is **more** blue than Delaware, because two of Delaware’s three counties–Kent County in the middle and Sussex County in the south–are very red. It’s northern New Castle county where all the moonbats are, and as we saw from the “One Nation” rally, their numbers are very depressed and depleted.

Come writers and critics who prophesy with your pen
And keep your eyes wide; the chance won’t come again
And don’t speak too soon, for the wheel’s still in spin
And there‘s no tellin’ who that it‘s namin’
For the loser now will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin’ …

The line it is drawn, the curse it is cast
The slow one now will later be fast
As the present now will later be past
    The Order is rapidly fadin’
And the first one now will later be last
For the times they are a-changin’

Our great country was founded by and for the citizens of the thirteen colonies. It was designed to insure that a central government was controlled and limited by representatives of those citizens. It was given a limited amount of power, with many checks and balances, to secure the rights and freedoms for its citizens. They were making sure that an American Government would and could not become as Britian had. England enacted laws and taxes on their American subjects, but without allowing the colonies a say in their government. Ignoring the will of the people of America, they bullied and took away what limited rights they had and tried to force them to comply. Sound familiar? Yes, we don’t have to look far across the Atlantic at a despotic leader, we have only to look at the Oval Office in Washington, D. C. and to those whom we had entrusted the liberties of the people and the country. Our representatives, Senate and the House, are there to represent the will of the people. Instead, they have consistently lied to the constituents, both during campaigns and when in office. They have consistently rob the American people, not only of their money, but also by stealing their liberties, little by little. The incumbent office holders allow themselves to be above the law, they allow themselves to steal by back-room corrupt deals and the like. They ignore the very people who put them in office, they even resort to passing laws, under cover of darkness. They hide laws and corrupt deals in the midst of thousand of pages of laws. This has always been a trick of unethical lawyers. Their mindset is to bog down any opposition by inudating them with mountains of paperwork. Then, they laugh and call the people stupid and ignorant, or worse! No doubt, I could go on and on. Their lack of character, morals and ethics makes them unfit to be employed anywhere, let alone entrusted with the security, freedom, and economic growth of this great country. They have taken your freedom to worship, especially targeting Christianity. They have tried to rewrite the American history, to further their agendas, just like the Moslems continue to do with Israel.

Soon after deciding what sort of Government America was to become, that very question was asked of Benjamin Franklin. In reply Franklin said, “A Republic….if we can keep it”. This is a question that should be upon the lips of all true American patriots. If we can’t or more correctly, if we won’t, then we don’t deserve it. The choice is up to us, the American people, and the answer should be and must be yes we will!

You’re probably asking how do we insure that we will keep this nation a free Republic. Oh, we voted for only those who promised no more taxes, no more spending, etc., etc. Of course they all were proven to be liars again (or should I have said they were just not quite forthcoming or perhaps they were a little disingenuious?). Then we did the “best of the two evils” choice. This was no different than the “Magician’s Choice” trick! We now know that there is no difference between Republicans and the Democrats when it comes to which is telling the truth. Neither has the best interest of America at heart, probably not even in mind! Their goal is simply to acquire power, money, more power and more money while doing and saying anything to remain in office.

So what is the answer? They don’t listen when the people, overwhelmingly, protest and tries to voice their opposition. So the American people need to get their UNDIVIDED attention. How? WE THE PEOPLE, must vote any and all incumbents out of office. It doesn’t matter if they are better than most. If they haven’t been part of the solution, then they are part of the problem. THEY MUST KNOW AND WE MUST LET THEM KNOW THAT GOVERNMENT WILL NO LONGER BE RUN BY ROUGUE LAWYERS AND OPPORTUNISTS, PROGRESSIVES (AKA SOCIALISTS), ETC. THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN MODERN-DAY CARPETBAGGERS OR WANNA-BE DICTATORS. THEY MUST BE EDUCATED TO THE FACT THAT THEY WILL BE VOTED OUT AGAIN AND AGAIN, UNTIL THEY LEARN THAT OUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO RUN THEIR OWN VERISON OF CRIME, INC.
AND THOSE THAT ARE ELECTED TO OFFICE, BUT CONTINUE TO DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT WILL SOON LEARN THEY WILL HAVE ONLY ONE TERM IN OFFICE.

We, the people, need to lobby our newly elected representatives to enact new laws to insure ALL our freedoms, our security, etc. Enact laws that ethical or criminal behavior of representatives will be prosecuted swiftly and severly, with no possibility of any pardon…not by a state Governor nor by a President! Enact laws or amendments to limit a President to one term only, ensuring that any damage to our country will not be as damaging as is obvious with this Government. Further limit the terms of our Representatives, both in the Senate and the House. Imperative to limit the term of all Supreme Court Justices to no more than an eight year term and make an amendment that the justices can no longer re-interpret the Constitution, but uphold the laws as it was written and intended by the original framers.

So, the bottom line is this: unless the American people get the undivided attention of those in government…when you and your family members are homeless and hungry or at the very least jobless…remember, you have only yourselves to blame.

THE ONLY WAY TO INSURE THAT YOUR FUTURE REPRESENTATIVES WILL LISTEN TO ITS CONSTITUENTS IS VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS!!! FROM THAT POINT ON, EACH REPRESENTATIVE MUST KNOW WE WILL VOTE THEM OUT AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL WE HAVE RESPONSIBLE REPRESENTATIVES THAT UNDERSTAND THEY ARE THERE FOR THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE.

      JohnDoe / Peters:
Good points…..most of the posts here are good with solid points of view. However, Peters, although I agree with you that this will be a rough road to hoe, and will take time, if we have enough “libertarian” mindsets out there we can begin at the polls. Yes, the libs / progressives will stop at nothing to continue to lie, cheat and steal our sovereignty and our country ( the country we once had)…because, I don’t feel like I even belong out here any more. There is so much of this progressive type thought process and resulting deployment that it’s real depressing….I am an unemployed white male in my 50′s and feel completely disenfanchised, not to mention disconnected from the workplace. Live in NJ, which, yes, is big union, big government and the private sector has all but been squashed….. Start at the polls and work from there….. Just remember, the libs / left will do anything and everything, including lying on a daily basis (wait till the smear ads show up in the next few weeks for conservatives running for office) because they LIVE by Machhiavellian-Alinsky principles….go to http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/Articles/Rules%20for%20Revolution%20(2).pdf
That basically explains the left and how they will continue with this power grab….

I do like Chris and I do think he belongs in a much higher office. I also like Sarah Palin a LOT but somehow think she is “yet” strong enough for President. How about a Christi/Palin run in 2012 ? As much as I like Newt Gingrich I somehow feel his past will work against him A pity but let;s be realistic anyone (other than the chosen one Obama) will have their entire life since birth put under the microscope. Republicans can NOT afford to have the wrong guy or girl on the ticket. I ge the feeling at least Chris would not bow and scrape to foreign countries or tell them Americans are ignorant. Sarah could do some serious ass kickng in DC too. Christi/Palin in 2012, God bless them both.

    President Christie’s Agenda for 2012:

    1) Purge the GOP of RINOs immediately.

    2) Remove all Progressives from office and put them in prison.

    3) Get rid of ALL government entitlements, past and present.

    4) Pass a law that makes it illegal to have earmarks in any bill Congress writes

    5) CRUSH the union stranglehold on the public section. Make unions illegal in the government, PERIOD!

    6) Make the Congress’s pay and benefit package the same as all entry level military personnel

    7) Pass a law making it MANDATORY to have a balanced budget.

    8) ELIMINATE the Federal Reserve the moment he is sworn into office.

    9) Get out of the Middle East and put the troops on the Mexican border. SHOOT anyone that tries to get in.

    10) Remove ALL the Obama Administration personnel and start the treason trials.

    … that’s a start …

This should serve as example to the Republican Party that you do not have to be “Democrat lite” People want candidates who have courage to do the hard things. Wake up and learn.

Well, Roth … I’m not ready to give up the ship. I believe in redemption and the alternative is socialism – which is unacceptable. So, for me, I haven’t been just saying yadda, yadda, I’ve been actively involved in making a difference. I agree that the GOP bosses are out of touch, but thank goodness that some GET IT. The true test will be when the rubber hits the road. And there will be many weak candidates elected.

THAT is because we are all a product of progessive lead education. We have lost the great American values that once was part and parcel of our country and we don’t have the social leaders that we need now.

Better to educate yourself and be part of the solution. Yes. Nov 2 is not the silver bullet. It is upon each and everyone of us to keep these people’s feet to the fire.

P.S. It is extremely important to vote Republican in NEW YORK as conservatives are in jeopardy when they REDISTRICT this year … they will eliminate the few conservative districts… so in NY we have to be especially vigilant. New York has no balance whatsoever in Albany, nor at the Federal level! Maybe I should move to New Jersey if the DEMS keep control of NY. (That’s if I could even sell my house …)

I basically agree with you that it’s not about parties, it‘s about people BUT we just had a demonstration of what happens when we don’t assert ourselves within the parties. The Karl Roves who control the GOP will select your “choices” for you. As long as they’re in control, the GOP elite will pick progressives and losers like Mike Castle, Bob Dole, John McCain. What kind of choice is that? IMO, the Tea Party folks have the best chance of taking back control of the GOP. I see the Tea Party as a conservative unity party. He’s right. Too bad that I trust the GOP to follow through about as much as I trust a used car salesman. Funny how incumbent GOP members have suddenly found religion with the increase in popularity of the Tea Party. Funny how the poeple who brought us the Bush Medicare expansion suddenly are concerned about entitlement spending.

The GOP is corrupt. This election will be a nice win, but it in no way constitutes victory. Until a viable third party emerges that actually adheres to a set of values (not when only politically advantageous) we’ll be back in the boat before we know it. We are voting for the lesser of two evils. Sure, there are good conservative and libertarian leaning Republicans. But, they are the exception and certainly the GOP is not there yet.

Don’t fall into the trap of looking at a red political map after the election and thinking that the battle was won. We must be vigilant in holding these people accountable EVERY DAY! We must not accept any excuses on their part. We must ensure that special interests don’t get their hooks into the freshmen. Yadda yadda, you get what I’m saying.

Agreed. It is going to take 3-4 elections to get these rats out of DC. Be vigilant, keep up on what is happening on the Hill, and hold politicians accountable for the choices they make. RINOs will be keeping an eye on the Tea Party movement – one primary season is not enough to scare them straight…yet. As we continue in 2012 to send more of these establishment GOP’s packing, and when they realize we have actually been watching every vote from all across the nation, things will quickly change in the party. Some of these RINO’s survived this primary season, but as the Tea Party movement grows, we will continue to see better choices in who we choose to represent us in every state, every district, every local office – no more of the “lesser of two evils” BS There are plenty of good people out there with the will to serve their nation and do it honestly and openly.

I have faith that we are witnessing the beginning of something special in our history, but every single one of us needs to be involved and engaged in the process. Every day, not just at election time.

You are very lucky indeed! We have Charlie Crist and here’s his idea of backbone: There was a proposal to base teacher’s pay (increases) on merit but the union proposed that members would change their support to him if he vetoed it. So, numb nuts vetoed the bill. If you look at his donations, teacher’s union and colleges are big donors. When he changed parties, Republican donors wanted their money back but the only one who, apparently, got his money back was the head of the state Republican party who is under investigation for using donor money for his own pleasure. He and Crist‘s family took a 16K trip to Disney World on the Republican party’s dollar. So I envy you that you have Chris Christie and hope that he will continue to clean up New Jersey before he runs for president. I look forward to voting for him in 2016.

Sorry to say it guys, but that four legged stool that Reagan used to demonstrate conservative principles, it served its purpose well, and still does to great extent; but as a tool, it is a bit antiquated as times have changed; that stool needs to be a chair with a back and two arm rests that fully supports the weight of our modern advancing society; a society that Republican’s learn to understand and realize how to approach from every angle in relation to time and change.

Christie is absolutely right, about what he is saying about Republicans, but our culture, our society has become increasingly more complicated and complex as Liberalism has become a more widely spread and more deeply rooted ideology. It is so entrenched now as compared to the Reagan era (which is not over by the way, just evolving) that new tools must be developed and employed.

Liberalism, culturally, has been allowed to thrive, something Reagan’s stool did not address. The custodians of Reagan’s principles have faltered and given up much cultural and socio-political ground to the advancements of Liberalism over time. Obama’s duping of America is just small proof, a result of this. Merely bringing the four legged stool to our contemporary socio-political battlefield is like fighting in Afghanistan with colonial style formations, columns and muskets.

We need new weapons, socio-political tools; weapons to defeat liberalism as it exist now. It is fully entrenched in our youth and our society at large; it must first be turned back in order to realize any lasting Republican surge. We can win today, but Liberalism will be back. From a social perspective, a full understanding and acceptance of Reagan’s principles may not be possible because Liberalism is and has been winning the culture war for a very long time now, in America and across the globe. Culturally, this large piece of American ideological real estate needs to be taken back one inch at a time.

Republicans need to join the Tea Party in understanding this . . . that culture, the social issues of our time and our country, and the world, must be part of the Republican dialogue that they have with the American people. Our stool needs a firm back to lean on, armrests to take hold of, to sit firm and square on the ground as Reagan’s four legged stool once fully accomplished . . . but the battlefield and times have changed; we need more fire power that gives us social advantages as Liberals currently attain by way of deceit, cultural conditioning in our schools, on television, in malls and in our homes.

Liberalism is everywhere. Grab a chair.

I was born in NJ but live in NY now… I remember NJ when I was a kid, it was a great, powerful and financially sound state. In the past 2 decades the entitlement programs, unions and pensions have destroyed NJ and it is time it was taken back from the Corsine Corruption mob that still linger there today and from the disgusting unions that have bleed every dollar out of the state and produce low quality, under performing, overpriced results. Unions are useless in NJ – you have OSHA regulations and Compliance and you have Dept of Labor Laws. All unions are there for is to demand strong arming of overpaid salaries and benefits for one person that 10 new workers to pay for.

NJ needs to lower costs, it is time to Privatize!!! Put out RFQ’s (Request for Quotes) and have 5, 10 or 20 companies compete for bids on short term contracts and there should be a stipulation that a contractor can only be awarded a bid say 2 times in a row, then another contractor can come in and it allows opportunities to make the rounds to all private companies. You get lower cost for work like Toll takers, Sanitation, Teachers, Construction, Maintenance and so forth and you eliminate the state’s obligation to pensions for union workers. Hey, you are union, then get a private sector job and keep your union due’s and work in the competitive world…

Why pay $250 a month for garbage pickup from Union City workers when you can hire a private firm to do it for $30 a month, why are public teachers making nearly 25-30% more then private school teachers, yet private school students performance is always hire then public school.

That 10/2 rally was saying Economic Justice and such — great, de-unionize and let everyone work in the competitive private sector market, you earn by doing your job well, not by paying a monthly union due and then sitting back under the protection of the union while being a poorly performing worker who does underpar work and gets paid far more then the fair market private sector, that is not how things work, wake up people.

You don‘t like Golden Parachutes for CEO’s? Well we the Taxpayers are tired of Golden Parachutes and Immunity for Union Workers who can’t be fired for poor performance and for Pensions which are just on the outlandish and idiotic side, it must and it WILL stop!

I pray that Mr. Christie maintains his stated principles. I know it will be an uphill battle and it will test his character and his faith.
In the past I had been involved in Republican politics in Ohio in the 80‘s and 90’s. During the mid and late 90′s I saw how corrupt and self centered many of the politicians were becoming. Many of these people had a public reputation of someone who could do no wrong.
In 1992 Ohioans instituted term limits. Statewide offices were limited to two terms or eight years. What did the Republicans do? They played musical chairs and ran for another office while another office holder ran for their office.
The party in charge also draws up the political boundaries every 10 years. We tried to change that in 1981 but the Democrats who were in charge at that time fought and defeated the amendment.
In 1997 the property tax based practice of school funding was declared unconstitutional. What did the Republicans who were in charge of Ohio’s houses do? You tell me.
The past practices of electing and allowing ‘public servants’ to run our government is over. We have to remain vigilant and watch over their shoulders because many do not see themselves as public servants but rather as the ruling elite
These ‘elite’ politicians have the mindset of Bill Maher when he says of Obama “he needs to drag them to it……people are stupid.” Funny, I don’t remember Mr. Maher being elected God.
Ours is the government of the people, by the people and for the people. Leave any part of this out (of, by, for) and it ceases to be a true American system.
I intend to vote Republican this fall. However, I am not at all crazy about John Boehner becoming the speaker. He is a career politician who has lost touch with the people. Hey John, here’s an idea, why not limit yourself and others to 2-4 years and then let someone else run? Do you look down on others wanting to serve in the same way as Bill Maher looks at us poeople? Are we too stupid to know what’s best for us?
Political parties….put people in office that LISTEN, not who dictate. If I wanted that, I would head to Iran and idolize that guy. By the way you elitists, if that’s what you want, why not head there yourself? Leave us to our own devises. If we screw it up, then we will live with it.
It’s worked since the 18th century in spite of us.

Unlike most of the neutered men who run for high federal office in the republican party the N.J governor is Walks like a man, speaks like a man and acts like a man. He is probably the only republican candidate for president who could stand toe to toe with Obama in a debate.
