Chris Christie Tears Into Obama: ‘What the Hell Are We Paying You For?’

Chris Christie is well-known for his viral, tell-it-like-it-is clips. It’s part of the reason so many conservatives love him. And if they loved him before, they will likely fawn all over him again when they see his latest gem. During a press conference yesterday the New Jersey Gov. lashed out at Obama over the failure of the debt supercommittee: “What the hell are we paying you for?”

Politico has more of the quote:

Calling Obama “a bystander in the Oval Office,” the outspoken New Jersey governor said the White House spent the weekend tossing out a whole lot of “spin” about the supercommittee’s inability to come to an agreement before the Nov. 23 deadline.

“I was angry this weekend, listening to the spin coming out of the administration, about the failure of the supercommittee, and that the president knew it was doomed for failure, so he didn’t get involved. Well then what the hell are we paying you for?” Christie said during a press conference in Camden, N.J. “It’s doomed for failure so I’m not getting involved? Well, what have you been doing, exactly?”

“If he wanted to run for Senate again and just be 1 of a 100, I’m sure he could have gotten reelected over and over again in Illinois,” he said. “He’s the one in Washington and he’s got to get something done here. And it’s not good enough just to say, ‘Well, I’ll get it done after the election.’”

    Off topic:
    I have been pondering this question for a long time:
    If and when our economy collapses and our dollar is worthless, what happens to our financial responsibilities such as mortgage, car payments, credit cards, etc. Anyone know?
    I assume we would no longer have a job and mass chaos would ensume, so then what?

      When the economy collapses unemployment will sky rocket and foreclosures will be in the millions,the dollar becomes worthless because of hyperinflation and food will be scarce.Then survival instinct kicks in,think the movie mad max on steroids.15 trillion in the hole and this Marxist POS president can think of two things,higher taxes and more spending yeah that’ll help.

      Technically the federal government can’t go bankrupt because they will simply print more money and make the dollar worthless.

      What happens to the wealth that those that have destroyed our country have amassed? I would asume they have it invested in other countries because they are trying to make the US currency worthless. As far as your mortgage, etc, I assume they become worthless because all they represent becomes worthless. Correct me if I am wrong.

      According to an inside-the-beltway Federal law enforcement official source, he has told me that there will be no government authority around to enforce any of the laws, so if you can’t pay your mortgage, you may as well stay put and hunker down. He also said that anyone living within a tank of gas from major metropolitan areas is in danger. Again, that is if the dollar collapses.

Side note to Christie, your a big guy stop letting the Libs behind the camera stage your interviews and speeches with your background a KITCHEN or put you in a gym seated at a childs desk with a camera at ground level, they did the same thing interviewing Sara Palin in front of a Turkey slaughter station the week before thanksgiving.       Well one of three possible out comes none good.
      ONE- Total government takeover of the economy and death of the Constitution. Followed by Civil war.
      TWO- The people go to the houses of all those government offical who caused this pull them out of thier warm beds and beat them to death in the street. Restructure America’s economy around states rights and individual liberty.(actually the second part of that one is what has always been needed)

      Don’t think for a second that economic collapse, a worthless FRN, the fracturing of our society with outstanding loans and no way to pay them off is the end. It is only a stage in the progression towards a one-world government presided over by the banking elites. Before Americans will give up the Constitution and the protections it has provided us, they must first be made destitute… without hope, with chaos, division, and misery reining. Since much of our populace no longer has the will to do for themselves, but, instead want government to come up with some program… some guarantees in life, a year or so of violence and starvation is just the ticket to have us groveling for a central controlling authority.       And, when the country is destroyed, Obama gets exactly what he (and his father) have dreamed of – a more “equal” America, where only the severely corrupt and evil can flourish. No more of this “honest day’s work” nonsense. The tragic thing nobody ever comments on is the fact the Marxist is living out his old man’s dreams, yet he only met his old man a handful of times. Is that not deeply concerning, or what? He’s got all this pent-up, false admiration for somebody he never really knew.

      So, I‘m not sure why guys like Christie play Obama’s game. They act like he actually cares about the America we know and love. Newsflash: He loathes traditional America.

      @Goldenfind : You must understand “Defacto Law”/ color of law to realize that, as long as you are paying property taxes you DO NOT own anything. Even if your property is paid for, as long as you pay property taxes every year you truly don’t own it. That is why paid for homes are being stolen by the banks and HOA’s. It’s difficult to understand and this subject just scratches the surface. Study Black’s Law Dictionary 4th edition so see true law. You can only defend yourself if you educate yourself with the right material. And don’t depend on a foreign agent defacto lawyer. They work for the state 1st, then themselves, then you.

      What are we paying the Senators on the committee for??? It was their legislation that set up the super committee, it was their appointments to the super committee. Interesting attempt by Christie to take the heat off the Republican senators who wanted it to fail from the get go. No doubt if the Democrats had control of Congress or if there was a Republican President, the failure of the committee would have been Congresses not the President. Bottom line is we have the best politicians money can buy. Follow the money….. even with Christie.

      I believe in what the bible says…. it says that this will happen in the final days. there will be “one’ that will step forward with what will seem like the solutions to all our problems, problem is you will be required to “buy” into the system. If you do not buy into the system you will not be able to survive. Problem is….. if you buy into the system and save your life you lose your soul.       Although I am planning for the worst and preparing to be as self-sufficient as possible it is now more likely that the dollar is in pretty good shape for now. The only reason it is is because the EU has no chance to survive (never did) and the Europeans are and will be trading their scary Euro’s for dollars ASAP. After Europe resets with a new currency or likely several new ones we will have to see where we are in terms of our debt. For now I would advise we all keep educating ourselves on survival skills and buying things that will likely become currency if and when we have our own collapse.

      The answer….get out of debt NOW. Sell the house with the mortgage payment and buy one that doesn’t have one. Sell the vehicles with payments and pay CASH for an older model. Cut up the credit cards and pay them off. Dave Ramsey has been warning us about this for years and he has
      a perfect solution. PAY CASH and you don’t have to worry about payments. Start a garden even in the
      city on the balcony or in the back yard. Better yet move OUT of the city and become self sufficient.

      We saw the handwriting on the wall decades ago, sold our city home and bought a ranch, drilled a water well, bought cattle, chickens, horses, and a few dogs. We have our own milk, meat, eggs, vegetables, and fruit. I only visit the grocery store 3 to 4 times a year for flour, salt, toilet paper and a few other necessities.

      Other than the small montly electric bill, insurance, fuel and property taxes we can get by on very little money. Next year we will install our own OFF the GRID solar system with a hydrogen backup. When the sun goes down at night the hydrogen we’ve made during the day will fuel our generator for electricity.

      We don’t go to movies (they support the Hollywood liberal wingnuts such as Michael Moore, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandan and other communist loving idiots) and we very rarely eat out. Our lives are simple but very rewarding. Our health is much better too. Moving to the country was the best decision we ever made especially for our children and grandchildren.

      Well, I have a answer for you. You will be required to pay it back. Only businesses get bailouts. I went through the Wells Fargo Mortgage Loan readjustment program that was established by the administration. It is designed to get you to default on your property and then they short sell your home without your knowledge. That’s the short version.

      You and I are ‘individuals’ and the government and the “banking industry” (actually the same thing) are the rule makers. I can be steamrolled (and was) by both of them. But a business has resources, lawyers, lobbyists, capitol, and they have economic influence that you and I just can’t muster for an extended battle for our “rights”. Especially, once we have already bled out significantly. A business can become “insolvent” and be closed and disappear forever. We can file bankruptcy and have to suffer for 7 years+ before we can begin to regain our footing.

      Think it isn’t a rigged system? Think again. obama is a stool for socialist reach. And, yes, I am talking about Cloward and Piven.

      So the economy collapses in abstract – think worthless paper stocks, bonds, etc – but in physical terms you still have assets such as land, timber, livestock, fuel, food and intellectual capacity. The government will try to grab all of it. If you have been following Beck for awhile, he has pointed out that the Feds own the insurance of 98% of all mortgages in the US. I would expect that they would seize outright ownership of any home on which a mortgage is written. After the reset, expect to be paying, in some new form, a tax/rent for your dwelling, food, fuel and water to the new socialist regime forever with no individual property rights.

      Get out of debt……. If you owe, you will be held accountable. IRS will take everything. The Government will use your debt to control you. If you can’t get out of debt at least prepare. Food, water, medicine, and the obvious. A way to protect yourself and property. This is where I believe Glen Beck is correct about the country being saved by us, the people. We will need to have hope, faith and charity. To many people are selfish and materialistic which won’t help us maintain our Sovereign Constitutional republic.

      I hate the thought of it, but I think I can offer some kind of an answer. If the economy, not just ours, the global economy(because like it or not they’re all tied together) really collapses and we go into a Weimar kind of situation, we’re all screwed. It won’t be like it was before, people are not as well grounded as they were then. Once people stop going to work, either because there is none or it’s just not worth it, the grid will eventually fail, and once it does, it’s going to be anarchy. I think most government(all levels) buildings will probably get torched or raided and God help anyone still in them, and all records will be wiped out. Mortgages, car loans, credit card payment info, all of that is on the computer now, yes it’s backed up, to another computer! I’ll bet less than 1/16 of all companies actually keep paper back up of all their records. Even if they did, who’s going to come collect? Once the grid goes down, all bets are off. I hope it never gets that bad, because I can’t imagine how bad things will REALLY be, but after 3 tours, I can say I have SOME idea, and trust me, you don’t want to live like that.

      Hyperinflation will make it cheap to pay off your mortgage balance. See Argentina‘s hyperinflation in the 90’s. With a day’s pay, you could pay off your mortgage … or buy a loaf of bread.

      If the free market collapses who will there be to send any money to? There won’t be any jobs so no one in the private sector will be making any money to pay bills or taxes. If the private sector is paying no taxes how will the government function, at least as we know it now?

      Do it now. I stopped paying all Citi Bank backed accounts when they took the bailout, then a week after the credit card bill was passed, started doubling my interest rates for no reason. The only way to keep my rate as it was , was to opt out of my citicard. I did and then every other citibank backed card (Sears and Home Depot) did the same and lowered my money lines to what I owed. This kept me from getting a refinance to pay everyone off. Enough was enough and I stopped paying them. My credit rating has gone from perfect to crap. I live on cash, using my debit card and pay pal; and when they offer me a deal I believe is fair, I’ll pay them. Their stupidity has made me better. We can all make them pay and doing so can make us more financially secure.

      My best educated guess would be that the government would take over every business aka communism.. They then would control everything including all the revenues and profits generated from business. This way they then could disperse the money as they saw fit to the land of dependents which we would become. Although we got about 40% dependency already.

      Actually, all these answers are incorrect.

      Debt of $500K for a mortgage will be paid off with a few days of labor. Think about it……..super inflation wipes out debt. $1000 per month mortgage will be equal to a loaf of bread.

      The scary part is that only a few will have the cash to pay off their debt because they will be trying to survive by buying food for $2000-3000 per day. Inflation wipes out debt but it also destroys wealth unless it is “sheltered” in tangible items that will be needed in this environment.

      Cash in the bank is worthless, money invested in the markets is worthless, even Gold will be somewhat worthless because you can’t eat it.

      Use all of your disposible cash right now to buy food and necessities and a means to protect them and yourselves. Don’t worry about a mortgage, credit cards, etc. Just own (free and clear) some land and provisions for you and your family.

      And be prepared to protect it.

      If your mortgage isn’t paid off you can expect your payments to increase.
      As the banks attempt to stay solvent (struggling against an inevitable failure) they will increase your interest rates (locked rates or not they will do it anyway) until you are paying more than 100% of your paycheck (if you are lucky enough to have a job)….

      People will start bartering… I’ll do the plumbing in your house for two bushels of potatoes out of your garden. I’ll get the pipe for the plumbing from a junk yard (because there is no new pipe) and I’ll barter with the owner of the junk yard to train his dog how to hunt. The gas for the propane torch for the plumbing I’ll barter with the owner of the fuel store by agreeing to work four hours on this next Saturday cleaning and organizing in what is left of his warehouse… we’ll return to a bartering for services society.

      Money will be meaningless… what you know how to do is the only thing that will count.
      Cut firewood.. grow vegetables in a garden… raise animals/meat/milk.. we will drop back 100 years and all those fancy iPads will be worthless.

      All your bills would come due. Unable to pay for the house you lose it just like in the 30′s. Yes all hell will break loose because so much of the population has moved into cities off of the farms. The population centers will be areas where there will be no rule of law because there will be no food, fuel, utilities.

      But as to your (my) debts, they’ll NOT let you off Scott free. It’s the Banksters who are behind it all (and who put O’Bummer in office) so they have to be appeased.
      I suggest that folks make sure they have 2 weeks food/water and get some REAL wealth (not Federal Reserve “notes” because they’ll be defunct) such as old silver coins which will be worth a lot more if we go back to a “gold-backed economy” and they’re something you could actually “spend” whereas what could you get if you had an ounce of gold worth at least the current $1800?

      Did you even follow what happened in the super committee? The republicans offered more than the dems but they turned them down. Why? Because it was obvious from the start that the failing condition (higher taxes, military cuts) was more to the dems liking than to the republicans. Even Barny Frank admitted as much.

      Why the republicans agreed to this whole mess in the first place blows me away.

      We do what Germany did. We create a National Socialist Party, print new money, elect a dictator, blame all our problems on the Jews and start a world war to create a wartime economy where everybody not in the military has a job making materials for the military. And hope there isn’t a whole bunch of countries who say “I don’t effen think so” and bomb you back to the stone age.       As I said in another post, there will be chaos for a while and the “government” will try to take advantage of it as much as possible, probably making some “terrorists” (folks not in agreement with their policies such as me) disappear to the FEMA camps. They’ll try to get everything back in order soon or there might be some lynchings (of them). They’ll tell everybody to just keep going about your regular “business” (going to your job) because they’ll all have it worked out (they’re probably working on that plan right now since they seem to be headed to this ON PURPOSE).
      Of course, THEIR “friends” will become millionaire/billionaires as they take advantage of we “lemmings/peasants”. On the “other side” of this we’ll pretty much have a feudalistic society with “rulers” and “serfs/peasants”.

      This is not a difficult question.

      Your liabilities remain the same…that is, you are still responsible for the payments. Should you not make the payments, the process for foreclosure or repossession will commence exactly the same as it would today.

      There are some interesting side effects though.

      If inflation kicks in and it takes a wheelbarrow of cash to buy a loaf of bread, then you will be able to pay your mortgage with just two wheelbarrows of cash – assuming you have a fixed interest mortgage, the payments will remain the same regardless of the value of the dollar. So, your mortgage or car payment may be no more than the cost of two loaves of bread.

      People who own or are buying property are big winners when the currency collapses.

      Economic collapse does NOT treat everyone equally.

      Those who do not own property will suffer greatly. Those with variable rate loans will suffer greatly.

      One could imagine that the sheer volume of defaults will put banks under, and you would be correct. It will take some time for the administrators of the failed banks to send out the repo guy, so you may well get a reprieve from having your car repossessed, if only for aq couple of months. BUt again…if the currency collapses you could make your car payment with the same money you need to buy a pint of ice-cream, so guess which one you would do?

      Your biggest fear will be protecting your property…guns, ammunition, food and water, soap…keep good stocks of these necess

      I also recommend JW Rawles Patriots and Survivor books, along with the “Enemies” series by Matthew Bracken. I find Mr. Bracken’s vision of the future a bit more realistic (a Third World America vs. a Mad Max America) but both give plenty of food for thought.

      The one thing that scares me, yet also in some sinister way gives me some hope; is I believe that we will be fighting another civil war. It will be those who hope for a return to all that is right, and good, against those who have sold out to their own brand of evil.

      There will be no economy. Like other readers have said, the guv will not go bankrupt, but will print more money worth less than the paper it is printed on. There will be economic ruin, and hard times, but I think the people of the first group understand what makes a survivor, while the morons in the second group must DEPEND on a worthless government to sustain them.

      The question I ask is: Who has all the weapons? Who has stocked food and water? Who can hunt, who can plant a garden? Who believes in Freedom, given by God Almighty?!? Who will support those of a like mind?

      Where will the other side be? Fighting amongst themselves for the scraps, because self-determination and self sufficiency are not among their few abilities. So…the question is, will they try to take what we have? I’m willing to share, but you better bet it will be conditional.

      At Kentuckypatriot. Actually, although the crises is a debt crises, it’s a government debt crises. They spent more than they can afford to pay back, not you. You will actually be able to pay your debts easier. Because the rest of the world will dump dollars at the same time the government prints several trillion more, making them plentiful and worthless. You may not be able to afford a loaf of bread, but your mortgage and car note shouldn’t be a problem. If you’re able to stash some gold, some Perth gold certificates, or short the bond market at the right time, you’ll be flush. The only thing propping up the value of the U.S. dollar is the weaker Euro. We only look good in comparison. Our dollar is a decaying asset, just not as toxic as Euro’s yet.

      The debt won’t go anywhere in most situations. These companies will remember you owe them… it is CHEAP to keep records of this stuff. The only way the debt you owe these companies could be eliminated would be if the records and/or ownership of your debt is not passed on to the next level.

      More specifically, even IF a company owning your debt disappears, the ownership of your debt CAN be passed on to another company, OR an individual. Then, when the economy becomes more reliable, the owner of the debt can start reclaiming the debt.

      One more situation that could make your debt disappear (emphasis on COULD) is if the US government collapses. If it didn’t collapse, then all current laws regarding debt hold through. If it DOES collapse, then many previous financial transactions may be voided. Many of these loans/debts are backed by the full faith and credit of the US government…

      My point is, that West, Ryan, Palin & Christie all have jobs (well except Palin) in the government and need to focus on their own little niche and stop hopping in front of microphones to tell us how bad Obama is and what he would do about it. Yet they continue to grab photo ops and sound bites, insulting the president and sounding off with their big talk…which is tailored every time to their audience in order to push their buttons.

      Like I said before, they each had their chance and backed out like cowards…but still sound off like brave chihauhaus barking at the mailman…as long as there is a screen door protecting them.

      Time to go back to the job they were WILLING to take and shut the hell up about what they didn’t have the balls to pursue.

In regard to “O” knowing that the supercommittee being doomed from the start – that was most likely the plan.       Bomb throwers like Christie, Gingrich, O’Reilly, and Michael Savage shot to the top of their respective fields because people WANT to hear somebody address these issues who doesn’t tip toe around them. Every one of them tells it like it is.

      The left is famous for throwing bombs that often shake up the right and they’re decidedly effective in doing that. They use outrageous statements for their psychological impact. It gets everybody’s attention.

      The right has only a few people….besides the above…. who come anywhere close to employing the same psychology, most of them preferring to take the Karl Rove approach and refrain from saying anything that might be viewed as being outside the normal limits of managerial procedures. In other words, most Republicans are pressed by their leadership to be managers not psychological fighters who are engaged in a war where psychological ploys have caused this present culture to be a far left one. They get beat up constantly, because they don‘t fight back effectively using the same technique they’re bombarded with..

      Leftist tactics have been very effective. All they have to do is use buzz words like “racist,“ ”hater,“ ”mean-spirited,” and the like and it sends their opponents into a severe defensive frenzy.     Obama is new age management keep you hands clean and always have someone to blame. The truth isn’t as important as the goal.The super committee was meant to fail, the down grade pushes the agenda. The rhinos in congress have no more concern for this country then the socialists in the senate they will insure that each has more then enough while you look at the whole thing as if it were a pro sports game.

      I think the super committee was meant to fail too…….and then be used as a campaign tool against the Republicans. The Democrats have the media control and knew ahead of time how they would spin it. It wasn’t about cutting spending or increasing revenue, was it? The revenue could have been increased but the spin was about class warfare campaign slogans and thus they used the tax cuts spin. They don‘t want tax revenue increased if they are using it for their contributor’s payoffs. This is the most corrupt and wasteful administration ever! Gee, they couldn’t find much to cut in spending, could they? When everything collapses Obama will blame the europeans.

      The GOAL of the SuperCommittee diversion was to get a debt ceiling raise to get through elections 2012. In that realm, it was a smashing success–they got their credit limit raised and deficit now passed $15 trillion. Spend. Spend. Spend. We had a Democratic super majority that opted to not pass a budget over 930 days ago–because it would be too “inconvenient” for Democrats during the midterm elections.

      They still got spanked–or “shellacked” as the President put it when saying he “understood” what Americans wanted. We have no budget–so nobody really says, “HEY! We can’t spend that b/c it’s not in the budget.” The debt ceiling was the only built-in check for spending w/o a budget. So they created the unconstitutional “super (fail) committee” with the PROMISE that if it did not reach a deal, cuts would begin automatically in 2013, AFTER the elections. BOTH major parties participated in the ruse. It was an outright swindle of the American taxpayers–they got their additional spending w/o having to perform their jobs. And this Congress cannot impose budget limits on future ones–it’s just RHETORIC.

      Each party will try to lay all the blame on the other–but they’re both horribly at fault. Obama’s “let them do their thing whilst I travel, play golf & campaign on taxpayer dollars in swing states” is the proof. They ALL need to be voted out. Most corrupt government on the planet–and we’re in for the nastiest election season in history!

      In some cities ows and the tea party both hate the cause and disease.They just go about changing it differently.Its been said that the tea party is hard to tear apart due to the fact it has no central leader.Ows, not only doesn’t have a true central leader ,they don’t even have a central theme.they have multiple themes.For what its worth, I live in an ultra conservative city[in most respects]our local resident ows’ers could be considered tea partiers in other regions/cities of america.

    Christie is on the money in that Mr Obama is acting more and more like a man on the sidelines while in the Oval Office; the facts are clear that to Obama, we are on the inevitable road to ruin and to the transformation finale he wants for the nation to become a socialist society with him at the helm.

    I am from New Jersey and wonder the same thing about you… what the heck are we paying you for? You are anti-gun, my property taxes went up another $350, solar panels all over the place, more corruption, etc.

    You are a conservative mouthpiece with liberal values and actions. I can only commend you on DE-funding planned parenthood…otherwise, you are Corzine lite.

      If you think his stance on the second amendment is bad, you don’t want to deal with the likes of Joe Morrisey.He popped in on a destrict council meeting recently.It ended up with him and the rest of the room singing a nazi style corus of Do we want guns in schools?Do we want guns in church?I was the only one in the room that said yes.I was so enraged ,I can’t tell you.To me, he and they, insulted every marine and soldier that ever fought for their freedom.

    Christy is totally awesome…why the heck he didn’t take the run for President. I believe that our country is at the crossroads. We may not have a country we recognize in 2016. Does he honestly think we have time to wait.

      I am sorry to say this, but all Christie is, is Obama “right”. He talks a lot and that is about it. Read my posts, I am about as Conservative as you can get, but I live in NJ and Christie is Anti-Gun, believes in Federal funding or aid for college, health care, etc.

      There are a few things he has done that is good like de-funding planned parent hood and opposing gay marriage. Other than that, it is still NJ as usual. I really wish he would be pro-gun, shrink government and alleviate the corrupt unions.
