Chris Matthews Again Obsesses Over Chris Christie’s Weight

Even Chris Matthews and his guests on last night’s “Hardball” seem impressed with NJ Gov. Chris Christie’s D.C. speech this week. But, alas, Matthews could not keep the discussion exclusively to the merits of the speech. Instead, when a guest made a quick remark about Christie looking like average Americans (which he said could be an advantage), Matthews prodded, turning it into a full blown discussion on Christie’s weight and comparing the governor to the “thin” and “fit” President Obama.
To be fair, Matthews did admit he himself struggles with weight. But he also added that Christie would draw the ire of First Lady Michelle Obama considering her campaign against obesity:
Matthews, you may remember, has mocked Christie’s weight before.
“I saw him the other day and I was amazed by it,” he said in December, “he must be 300 plus, and that’s something he’s just gotta deal with because you’re not going to say, ‘I’m going to cut the budget,’ well, how about starting with supper?”

If he turns that state around it will be a hands down victory in 2016. I think Christie needs to invite the Obamas over dinner. They’re so worried about what they look like; they can’t get any work done.

I think Chris may already know I will be declaring all state and federal locales and agencies as bankrupt and leave only the skeleton of counties and cities. There will not be any more federal presidencies. That‘s why he’s not running. I’m breaking the judaism/xtian/king mold… live with it.

He’s one of those who believes everything the Dr. says. Me, on the other hand, take zinc the minute I feel a cold coming on, take Vit. C, honey & ginger & a whole bunch of things I do on my own rather than go to a Dr. for medications that have warnings which are worse than what I might have . Each to his own. (there are exceptions tho)

Posted on February 18, 2011 at 12:32pmOnce I saw Matthews, in one of his rants, push away from his desk, his jacket was open and he had on a white shirt on and the button at the bellybutton was so tightly pulled that had he not had on an undershirt you would of seen his chubby belly skin. Actually I was shock at how fat he was I haven’t seen him in a long time, I assume he is still “fat”.
As for OB being fit, I think not, he is skin and bones and most people see this as a negative.
