Chris Matthews Goes Gaga Over Obama‘s ’Winning‘ ’Little Boy’ Smile

President Obama is doing it again. He‘s making Chris Matthews’ all full of thrills. And this time, it‘s over the president’s pearly whites.
On Hardball, Matthews spent some solid time rhapsodizing over the president’s “winning”, “little boy” smile.
You know, sometimes, Gene [Robinson], he has that, he didn’t have it right there but a minute ago he had that great smile, that little boy smile of his which is so winning. Mark [Halperin] noticed it too. He brings it out. I don’t know if it’s technique.
This, Matthews notes, is in contract to John Boehner’s smile, which makes the House speaker look like he’s always “shvitzing.”
Oh, brother.

The problem I have with your idea is that is exactly what we have been doing for a long, long time. Kicking the can down the road. Putting the hard things off. We are, once again, being accused of being “extreme” maybe now is the time for extreme action to address an extreme problem. The government “shutdown” is NOT the problem. Debt, deficit, lack of leadership and our refusal to do what must be done is the damn problem.

(2) Obama thought he had the Republicans cornered by cutting pay to the military if the governemtn shut down, but the Republicans came back with a bill to fund the military. It would be on the Dmopcrats and Obama not to pass funding for the military.
Obama is crying because the Members of Congress are not acting like adults. Well, if the 111th Congress had done what it was SUPPOSED to have done and passed the budget last September, we wouldn‘t be in the mess we’re in now.
