Chris Matthews — Obama’s Not Happy in White House: ‘I Hear Stories That You Will Not Believe’

Liberal MSNBC Hardball host Chris Matthews is known to throw some jabs at Republicans during his daily show. But the commentator has become increasingly critical of Democratic President Barack Obama, the same man whose words used to give him a “Thrill up my leg.” Matthews has an upcoming book on President John F. Kennedy but during an interview on Weekends with Alex Witt Matthews went on a rant criticizing the President, and the “little kids with propellers on their heads” advising him:

“What are we trying to do in this administration? Why does he want a second term? Would he tell us? What’s he going to do in the second term? More of this? Is this it? Is this as good as it gets? Where are we going? Are we going to do something the second term? He has yet to tell us. He has not said one thing about what he would do in the second term. He never tells us what he is going to do with reforming our healthcare systems, Medicare, Medicaid, how is going to reform Social Security. Is he going to deal with long-term debt? How? Is he going to reform the tax system? How? Just tell us. Why are we in this fight with him? Just tell us, Commander, give us our orders and tell us where we’re going, give us the mission. And he hasn’t done it.

And I think it’s the people around him, too many people around, they’re little kids with propellers on their heads. They’re all virtual. Politics, this social networking, I get these e-mails, you probably get them. I’m tired of getting them. Stop giving them to me. I want to meet people. Their idea of running a campaign is a virtual universe of sending e-mails around to people. No it’s not. It’s meetings with people, it’s forging alliances. It’s White House meetings and dinner parties that go on till midnight, and he should be sitting late at night now with senators and members of Congress and governors working together on how they‘re going to win this political fight that’s coming.

I don‘t have a sense that he’s ever had a meeting. I hear stories that you will not believe. “

Matthews went on to express his skepticism that the Obamas really want to be in the White House:

“Don’t you feel, I think everybody feels an absence of communication from the time he’s been elected. And it’s not about not being left-wing enough or too left. That’s not his problem. It’s connection. And Mrs. Obama, she’s an amazing asset. And what has she done? Obesity? How about connecting with the American people about being Americans? I don‘t think she’s, I don‘t think she’s happy. I don’t think they like being in the White House. The American people can tell that. They don’t seem thrilled at the fact the American people have selected them as our first family. I don’t sense the gratitude, the happiness level, the thrill of being president. Bill Clinton loved being president every minute and you knew it.”

      You know what, he made a great point and I think many are going to conclude just as he has. This OWS crap is purely a symbol of ungratefulness and people taking for granted what they got. I have been reading more and more articles lately about the middle class disappearing. Shockingly, as much as they still want to point to their normal enemy’s, I hear a louder voice pointing to the enemy with in. It is us, you and me, them, everybody. The historians fear we are losing the middle class do to failed cohesion in our communities. The ever increasingly popular idea of being an individual and promoting liberation and independence are the very idea’s that are destroying us. They have divided the family and deepen the divide between individuals. Many people don’t even know their neighbors. Ever since FDR, America has invited big brother into their homes and eventually started leaving their children home with him as they exploited the opportunity to live life as they seen fit. Irresponsibly and selfishly.People like Obama, his wife, and all those nerds he has around him, are products of this movement. Those who wanted a world that embraced everybody, actually created a society that is more divided than ever. I was raised to be a victim and recall vividly remembering countless times how I just took life and all of the blessing in it for granted. I just squandered them away never appreciating what I had. Happiness was always over the next horizon. I crashed, society is crashing now!

      Maybe his liberal friends will find them hard to believe, but those of us who have been paying attention for the last three years, we would find them VERY easy to believe.

      Next thing you know he‘ll tell us that the OWS crowd aren’t really interested in jobs and just want to replace capitalism with socialism or communism. Nooooo! Really?

      I wonder if Matthews realized that many of us on the Tea Party and the Right already understand some of the stories he is shocked by…he needs to fess them up and open the dirty laundry, so all of those on the left can see how badly they have been played and used by the administration; the great betrayal is now being carried out…and they of the media sense the storm is about to hit them from above, below and all sides shortly.

      Here is a link to nice inexpensive program that I use to capture video off the web. You frame what you are playing on your computer screen and it records. Pretty easy you won’t have any problem. I have used it for the last couple of years

      Well I happen to agree with him.. I think this man has been
      disengaged since he got health care passed. He was absolutely
      obcessed with getting that done and then he has pretty much just
      existed. He sat around with the oil spill acting like nothing had even
      happened. With Libya he procrastanated until thousands more died
      He is incapable of making a decision…He is not in the least qualified
      for this job.. It is much more that he expected… His ego has taken

      to the other. He has no plan to help the Country and Soros does not
      tell him ahead of time what he is supposed to do.I think he thinks he is

I think those of us who get it know where Bambo wants to take this country in his second term, and that’s why the economy is still spinning its wheels. The uncertainty of what Obamacare will bring (and whatever else they have planned) is a vexation on the national psyche. Sambo has no intention of telling us what his plans are. That would mean sure defeat. He will not inspire the country like JFK or Reagan because he despises the country which they adored.       Hobbs57: I hear what you are saying and agree with you. Our freedom and our blessings have been taken for granted. I look back now and see how some of this was done on purpose and how we were manipulated. When my kids were in school what was being pushed or “nudged” was political correctness, caring about the environment and making everyone feel good about themselves by taking away competition and trying to make everyone the same or equal. This is backfiring big time! What we have produced is not what we intended. We have a bunch of kids who are handed a diploma and demanding big paying jobs without realizing or know how to compete for them. They are out protesting occupying wall street with their cell phones and laptops. There is less appreciation for the things they do have and concentration more on what they don’t have and want. We have a school system which is not producing the brightest or best….especially in math and science. No child left behind was a stupid program. All programs pushing federal childrearing instead of family responsibilty are not going to produce the same results. We need families to take care of their own children more than we need a government to babysit them.

      This approach was designed to put us in a position whereby socialism can be implemented…..baby steps in that direction to get all of us in the frame of mind for it.

      Democrat donors realize Obama can’t win the election.
      Democrat donors throw him overboard and put up Hillary, and have a chance to continue their income from government grants loans guarantees union contracts and purchases. Hundreds of billions are at stake.
      Resigning Obama and replacing him on the ticket would give them their best shot, and Obama would not continue as President either way.
      Would this start with the MSM? They would have to desensitize his voter bases.

      I have been watching GBTV for the last 2 weeks. His show today was very good. He said that he has talked to every candidate and there are only 2 that he would vote for, because he looked both of them in the eye when he asked them questions. He said that Michele Bachman and Rick Santorium were the only ones that he really believed were telling the truth. They both are Christians and and family oriented. He showed him interving Michelle, and he asked her why she was running and she said that she feels she is being led by God to do this for our country. She became a Christian when she was 8 years old. Her father left them and they went from having what they needed to having to sell almost all their possessions. Their mother told them that they might not have material things, but they had God, and that they would be alright.She would baby sit to pay for her lunch at school. That is why her and her husband took in so many children and helped them. If I have a vote to cast before the Rep. candidate is picked, it will be for her. May God bless our country and heal it.

      @Scout — Matthews appears to be running more than a little scared; I listened to this video on other sights several times, and this is what I was able to discern from his own words, especially the way he kept cutting the interviewer off…and that first of all says something…

      A. He feels betrayed by Mr Obama.
      B. He feels the Socialist ideology is dying.
      C. He is accepting that the media is being played (i.e. HIM), and is not in control after all.
      D. He senses a real and present danger in the future (mostly for himself).
      E. He senses accounts will soon be called to be settled.
      F. (Most critical) Reality has slammed him over the head.

      His shock is very real, and compared to past statements of his this one is different, dramatically different; and he now is trying to make a choice — good or evil, light or dark, he has to choose.

      May God grant him the grace to make the right choice.

    You have a lot of nerve asking these questions now Chris. Where were you when the public was begging you to get answers during his campaign? He would never answer questions about what he was going to do as President. We didn’t know what he believed on so many issues that at one point, even a FEW in the media were asking what he believed in. But MANY never even pushed for specifics.

    And NOW you expect him to give you his thoughts? Why? What for? He doesn’t need to because he got elected the first time while being vague. Why should he have to answer your questions now?

      I have no doubt that Chris Matthews is serious in his comments for somehow, he has awakened and is beginning to realize that the US is in big trouble. Folks, we‘ve got to quit sitting around reading these things and figure out what in the world we’re going to have to do to insure that the huge majority will be able to vote next November and elect sane administration – even if we have to elect a “politician”! There is little doubt that the left (including the unions, the welfare crowd, the perpetually unemployed, the thugs, Soros and the likes of him, haters and the politically insane) will be subverting the voting process by all possible means – and there is little doubt that training has already begun for the purpose of subverting the voting process. Somehow, we have to be ahead of this and learn of their plans – and how to stop the madness before it begins.

      Obama’s birth certificate contains many anomalies justifying further investigation by law enforcement, as does his social security number. Both are alleged to be fraudulent by numerous experts. However even if the alleged fraud had gone unnoticed and it’s assumed he was born in HI, Obama is still not Constitutionally eligible.
      Article 2, Section 1, requires the President to be a natural born citizen. This involves two equally important prerequisites. The first is being born in the USA or sovereign US jurisdiction. The second is being born to US citizen parents (plural). Both prerequisites must be satisfied. Obama absolutely failed to meet one prerequisite at birth and maybe both. He does not have TWO US citizen parents! Therefore he is not eligible.[1]

      Who says that being the child of two citizens is a requirement for establishing natural born citizenship? Not the Constitution, not any law or act of Congress, and definitely not the Supreme Court! When they finally ruled on the issue back in 1898, they said just the opposite – it doesn’t matter who your parents are as long as you‘re born here. I can’t see that any of the crackpots you reprint on your website have any source for this strange delusion other than their deliberate misinterpretation of an irrelevant Supreme Court decision that both predates their 1898 ruling, and specifically says that it is not setting a precedent or establishing a complete and exclusive definition of natural born citizenship.

      I want people to examine the Constitution, that’s the only way they will know that nothing in it supports your claims about what it means. You should get a motto of your own, like “The Constitution, I’ll tell you what it should say.”

      The “1790 1st Congress law” that you refer to was the NATURALIZATION Act. A more literate reader would have been able to figure out from the title alone that it had absolutely jack squat to do with the natural born status of people born IN this country.

      I read your article and it doesn’t say anything meaningful. First it wastes a lot of space establishing that there must logically be some difference between a citizen and a natural born citizen, even though nobody ever said there wasn’t. Proving this, which nobody ever denied, is not the same as proving that there is any difference other than the exclusion of naturalized citizens born in other countries. Then there’s a lot of irrelevant gobbledygook about the Naturalization Act. The one thing I don’t see is any law or court decision establishing that anyone born in this country is not a natural born citizen. You have never been able to cite any such authority for this weird belief, and you never will, because there is none.

      I am not a follower of Mr. Alinsky as I am not a radical. I took another look at your arguments on that previous thread, but I’m at a loss to find the part where you factually refute anything I said. All I see is circular logic, irrelevant references to statutes dealing with citizenship status of people born in other countries, and increasingly pompous and overblown insults and abuse.
