MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was in rare form today, first giggling with HuffPo’s Howard Fineman about Rep. Michele Bachmann being appointed to the House Intelligence Committee, then fondly swooning over President Barack Obama’s “boyish smile” that “we all love” with the Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson.
Not only was Friday his 65th birthday, but Vice President Joe Biden personally surprised Matthews with a birthday cake at NBC News headquarters in Washington. What a day!

Mrs. Bachman and Sarah contribute more and have more influence, fans and viewers than the entire MSNBC network. And they muse as to why the “not so main stream” media has no credibility. 20% of the public think like MSNBC does, while 40 or more percent agree with these two ladies on the issues. But they think those ladies are extreme. So out of touch!
