Obama Adviser David Plouffe Has Testy Exchange With Fox’s Chris Wallace Over Special Prosecutor in Leaks Case

Top White House adviser David Plouffe on Sunday skirted questions about why an independent counsel wasn’t appointed to investigate the recent spate of national security leaks instead of two U.S. attorneys overseen by Attorney General Eric Holder.

“Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace pointed out that back in 2006, then-Senator Barack Obama called for an independent prosecutor to investigate the lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

“The attorney general…has made a decision about the best way to proceed here,” Plouffe said. “This is a very serious investigation. Again, these are two United States attorneys — one Bush appointee — who are going to have the ability, as they should, to thoroughly look at this.”

When Wallace asked again why not an independent prosecutor, quoting Obama, “to ensure the public’s confidence in the investigation,” Plouffe didn’t back down.

“I think most Americans would rightfully think that two United States attorneys looking into this with thoroughness, with resources — ” he said.

“Senator Obama didn’t think so back in 2006,” Wallace interjected.

“That was a different case, Chris,” Plouffe responded.

“This is a more serious case, sir,” Wallace insisted.

“There is an investigation proceeding, let’s let that investigation happen, let the facts come out,” Plouffe responded.

      @Bob: agreed, the Obama admin does not want a special prosecutor so they can obstruct and cover their fannies from harm until the election is over, and if Obama wins or seizes power, then there will be a sea of blood and steel unleashed on the land.

      FLUFF is about as much a poster child for what a lying politician/politico is/says as I’ve ever seen. he pulled the wool over our eyes once when that bean-bag looser got elected. He doesn’t get another shot at it.
      What I wonder about these liars is this: Do they care NOTHING for their Character? Does it mean anything to them to be honest? Decent? Patriotic? or are they so very shallow that ‘win at all costs’ is the only thing that matters to them. Boy are they “cruisin’ for a bruisin”…and one worse than anything we could ever do to them. Don’t they realize they have this ONE LIFE to try to improve themselves, their surroundings, the world? Do they honestly think that putting a Marxist/Socialist/Anti-American/Soros puppet in the WH is the best they can do with their lives? They are Miserable.
      Fluff should never appear on national TV nor should that Hitler wannabe Axelrod.

      Sure, Epic Holdup has made a decision. It’s to cover his bosses rear end. Sweet Old Barack is involved up to his neck and all Holdup wants to do is cover it up.
      Two US attys who are dependant on Holdup for their job evaluations and pay raises. One of them is a contributor to Sweet old Baracks campaign. They are going to be impartial and will really investigate the POTUS. I’ve also got some good farm land located in southern Louisiana.at the mouth of the Mississippi.

      finally, after Chris “pushed” him for a “yes or ”no” – he said “NO”. Something very “fishy” here.

      If you don’t want the real record of the leaks to be reverled, you, Obama, gets his communist lapdog Holder to appoint two other lapdogs to do the “Investigation”. That way, they can drum up a long report which reveals nothing about the leaks and covers Odummer’s A**.

      If America had a Congress worth its salt, it would initiate a full investigation using a bare knuckled prosecutor. They would do the same with Fast and furious. Don’t hold your breath till that happens.

    The bottom line is: Obama and Holder need to be in jail. They are usurpers and treasonous to our Constitution and Republic. How plain does it have to be for those in Congress to see and quit giving a benefit of doubt to these malicious people who are attempting to subvert Justice and overthrow this nation? There is a long list of crimes, the beginning of which Obama is not likely eligible to even be in our Office of President. He is a phoney and has Holder there to hold off the people who seek Justice who are not going along with their agendas of breaking the back while undermining the laws of this nation. Jail their sorry treasonous azzes. They are fit to even be in this country.

    This guy did a lot of bellyaching about the failed economics that lead to recession. I really take offense at that. That is the economics that made us the richest country on the planet and even in this downturn we still are. The killer is intermixing liberal policies, like million dollar pensions for public employees and work rules requiring 4 people to do every job. regulations to make every job as expensive as possible and taxes to support the making of more ridiculous rules.

    Just watched this interview on Fox and how sad this is. Obama and Atty Gen. WithHolder doesn’t care that citizens who are white are threatened at polling locations by black panthers with billy clubs, doesn’t want ANY free thinking independent prosecutor investigating these leaks, doesn’t care about the US Constitution and thinks he can just “declare it to be true” that illegal aliens because their age should be given the right to stay here and oh yeah, they even get WORK PERMITS when nationally we have 8% unemployment, and big cities like Detroit, have 25% and 50% of all young black teens CANNOT get ANY job……yet he hands over work permits to these ILLEGALS. Thank God November is not too far away…..but will we be able to save our country or has too much damage already been done ?

      Holder is a slime ball who should never have been in his position in the first place. The President was well aware of this man before placing him in this important position in a department that is supposed to be independent of influence from anyone. This man is about as bad as anyone could be for this job. Get him out, the sooner the better and put someone in who is not promoting an agenda. Then get Obama out. This country has a good chance to survive these attacks from within and get righted again if this is done soon. That is the only chance we have. Never again allow such a thing to happen in this country. This subverting of justice is a major undoing of all that our forefathers sacrificed and died for. This should not be even having to be dealt with. These great offices should not exit to serve agendas. These offices should stand for Justice and freedom for all people within this country who are legally here. We have enough to do to take care of our own. Outsiders and intelopers have no good thing in mind for this country. Stand firm on this and if we have anything left over we can deal with others and help them. We owe this to our citizens, not casting our “pearls” to those who are not our own. We need to heal before we take on any more of those who are not from this country. It must be stopped so we can concentrate on the Justice Department and getting Holder out of office.

      @BlackyB. I totally agree with your post. However could you tell me how we get rid of Holder and impeach the creep in the White House? Who can stop these people? Let us all say our prayers as we head to the polls in November and hope enough people are now awake. But be certain that the creep in chief has more tricks up his sleeve. And by the way all the Mexicans given this present by Obama, they are all Democrats anyway. So get all your friends and family to vote and. Let’s hope they all vote this guy out of office.
