Chris Wallace Responds: ‘The Joke…Is on Jon Stewart’

We covered the original dust-up between Jon Stewart and Chris Wallace here. And we debunked Stewart’s claims about the intelligence of Fox News viewers here.
And now after all the viral play the interview got this past week — Chris Wallace is responding. Fox News Insider:
Yesterday, Wallace responded to Stewart’s criticism of the interview, saying that while it was edited from 24 minutes to 14 minutes for air, the full interview is available for viewing on the Fox News Sunday web site. Stewart also criticized Wallace’s statement that Fox News Channel tells the other side of the story, providing viewers with a fuller perspective on news and politics. Watch Wallace giving his last word on the interview, and revealing evidence that contrary to Stewart’s claim, Fox News viewers are actually more informed than viewers of The Daily Show!

Steart though, is dangerous. For he is exactly what Hitler used to keep the eyes of the ignorant from seeing his true plan. That brings me to the trolls.
Encinom-are you a Nzazi? I don’t care, just want to know. Do you understand that the fourth reick is on the move? Do you understand that Soros and the like will kill you just the same as those you think are the enemy? Can you see any of this?

However, that said, I do believe that Wallace was shaken by the Stewart controversy and that he over played the Bachman interview yesterday in an effort to deflect, and perhaps, even tried Stewart humor, by using the line about her being a Flak. Wallace lost it in the Bachman interview and his apology was deficient as well. Bachman handled the interview well as well as her declining the apology as acceptable. Is this a new Chris Wallace beginning to appear? Yesterday he looked to much like a 60 minute has been… yep, you guessed it… Mike W or Dan R… get your act together Chris you are shrinking…

When they do, Stewart makes a wise crack or a joke which totally deflects and defuses the situation and discussion line. He’s a pro at it. Personally I don‘t know why he’s ever invited on as a guest to anything on Fox. It‘s probably because that’s all Stewart does is trash Fox, so they feel the need to sort of address him… like the whiny child… you feel the need to address them in hopes that it will stop.
