Christian Author Joel Rosenberg: We May See ‘More Bible Prophesies in the Near Future’

Author Joel C. Rosenberg has been called a modern-day Nostradamus. His fiction writings have been viewed by many as intriguing, yet eery, as they often highlight major world-wide events months before they actually occur.

Don’t believe me? Consider the author’s track record. In January 2001, Rosenberg began working on his first novel, “The Last Jihad.” The book, which is a fictional account of a U.S. war with Iraq (yes, this preceded the actual war that America launched in that region), describes the highjacking of an airliner in an attack on America.

Christian Author Joel Rosenberg Discusses New Book: The Tehran Initiative

Then, there was his second novel, “The Last Days,” which starts by recapping the death of Yasser Arafat (and published 13 months before the Palestinian leader perished). Call it coincidence of divine providence, but Rosenberg definitely seems to have a knack for clairvoyance.

Earlier this month, the communications advisor and famed novelist released his seventh work of fiction, “The Tehran Initiative” (additionally, he has two non-fiction books under his belt). In his latest work, Rosenberg creates a story that he hopes will both entertain and educate readers. A description of the action-packed book reads:

“The world is on the brink of disaster and the clock is ticking. Iran has just conducted its first atomic weapons test. Millions of Muslims around the world are convinced their messiah—known as ‘the Twelfth Imam’—has just arrived on earth. Israeli leaders fear Tehran, under the Twelfth Imam’s spell, will soon launch a nuclear attack that could bring about a second holocaust and the annihilation of Israel.

The White House fears Jerusalem will strike first, launching a preemptive attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities that could cause the entire Middle East to go up in flames, oil prices to skyrocket, and the global economy to collapse. With the stakes high and few viable options left, the president of the United States orders CIA operative David Shirazi and his team to track down and sabotage Iran’s nuclear warheads before Iran or Israel can launch a devastating first strike.”

Below, watch Rosenberg discuss “The Tehran Initiative”:

Timely, no? Considering ongoing global strife and Iran’s role in stoking the international flamed of instability, Rosenberg appears to be delving into subjects that are pertinent to the current political landscape.

Last week, I had the opportunity to speak with Rosenberg about “The Tehran Initiative” and his motivation for creating such impactful and unique stories. It’s a known fact that Rosenberg has a penchant for exploring End Times theology (a characteristic that works its way into his writings). ”I am intrigued with where we are in human history, especially as a follower of Jesus Christ and as a student of bible prophesy,” he told me.

See, Rosenberg believes that we‘ve already seen some of the Bible’s prophesies come to fruition. “We’ve already seen some of what Ezekiel 36 and 37 promised — the rebirth of Israel and the Jews rebuilding the ancient ruins,” he said. “This has all happened in the last 63 years, which raises the possibility that we’ll see more Bible prophesies in the near future.”

For Rosenberg, novels are a key tool that can help people better imagine what the world would look like if, indeed, these prophesies come to fruition in the coming years. While he says that he‘s not claiming these promised events will happen as he’s writing them, Rosenberg hopes that his written works will get people thinking about the events and possibilities that surround them.

Clearly, he has a firm belief in the Biblical tenets that mainstream Christianity heralds as undeniable truths. For Rosenberg, faith is the motivating force that guides his overall work.

“Faith, to me, is the lens through which I’m watching all these dramatic and tumultuous events — particularly in the Middle East and North Africa,” he said. ”The idea that Russia, Iran, Libya, Sudan and Turkey…end up forming an alliance in the last days to surround, isolate and attack Israel — that type of alliance has never existed in more than 2,500 years, but its happening now.”

Even those who may believe that the Bible is nothing more than a book of fables, may be, at the least, intrigued to hear Rosenberg’s thoughts on the days events, especially when considering what’s happening around the globe. Iran is an ongoing problem for the West. Libya’s future is uncertain. And Russia, Sudan and Turkey, some say, are poised to increase their diplomatic relations with Iran.

But it is this first nation — Iran — that Rosenberg sees as a major threat to both the United States and Israel. “The biggest danger we face as americans right now is that Washington will miscalculate with regards to Iran — that Washington will wait to long to neutralize the Iranian threat,” he explained.

I found this comment intriguing. After all, both the administrations of George W. Bush and Barack Obama have been criticized for what some see as a refusal to go after the Iranian government. These critiques, of course, are diverse in gauging where blame should be placed.

Some have said that Bush chose the wrong target in going after Iraq rather than Iran, while others believe that Obama has been too coddling to the radical, Middle Eastern regime. So, I asked Rosenberg what he thinks the Obama administration is doing in its current handling of the situation.

“The Obama administration is miscalculating,” he affirmed. “They are convinced that they can negotiate with and engage the radical mullahs that run Iran. But after three years it’s demonstrably false…Iran has gotten closer to getting the bomb.”

While the author sees this political strategy as problematic, he concedes that it has, at the least, shown that appeasement and soft handling as a diplomatic tool in dealing with Iran, doesn’t work. ”It’s useful to know,” he says. “But some of us knew that three years ago.”

“Evil,” Rosenberg says, is at the center of his work. “The core of my writing – particular ‘The Tehran Initiative’ centers on the fact that misunderstanding the nature and threat of evil is to risk being blindsided by it,” he said. “We didn’t understand the Japanese threat and we got hit by Pearl Harbor. We misunderstood Hitler and Nazis and we got World War II. We underestimated Osama bin Laden and we got 9/11.”

Thus, misunderstanding Iran and its goals, particularly when it comes to radical religious adherence, is dangerous to both the United States and the world as a whole. Rosenberg explained that the Iranian government — like mainstream Christianity — is driven by an End Times theology. “As an evangelical Christian, I don’t fault anyone for having an end times theology,” he explained.

But, unlike the Christian understanding of the end days, he asserts that Iran’s government is driven by the idea that they need to hasten the second coming of the Twelfth Imam — a messiah of sorts (read more about Shia Islamic eschatology, including this Imam, here). Rosenberg says that Iran‘s leaders believe that annihilating Israel and the United States may help hasten the Imam’s arrival. Watch the CBN report below, for more:

“I have described Shia Islamic eschatology as a photographic negative of Christian end times theology – there are a lot of similarities but they are completely opposite,” he explained. “Christians believe that it’s important for people to get saved and then Christ comes back, not murder to achieve the same result. There’s a difference in the value of life and death and good versus evil.”

This threat, he says, may be overlooked by those who don’t embrace a personal faith. “Too many in our secular, modern, western world don’t understand how deeply faith motivates people,” he said. For those who consider themselves religious, it may be difficult to understand how powerful faith can be. If one can’t relate to this important dynamic, it may be tough to fathom how death and destruction might come as the result of an inherent connection to a belief in a religious system.

Considering all of these hefty elements, it’s surprising that Rosenberg would be so wedded to telling his story through fiction. It would seem, when exploring the content and the real-life events, that non-fiction would be a more effective angle. But — he makes a compelling case for story-telling.

“I think that conservatives, generally, and Christians, in particular, sometimes forget the power of story,” Rosenberg said. “Sometimes fiction has a way of capturing peoples’ imagination and drawing them into certain truths that a speech or an op-ed…simply cant create.”

Rosenberg went on to say that Christians have forgotten the power of a story and that it’s something that needs to be recovered. Fiction, he explains, has created an environment in which he can grab peoples’ attention about the threat of radical Islam. It is these theories that helped lead to his latest book, “The Tehran Initiative.”

In describing the book, he says, “I think of it as a war game to create as realistic a geopolitical environment I can. To run a war game exercise to project forward what could happen if an American president badly miscalculates a threat from Iran”

“There’s nothing like taking people inside Iran from the eyes of a CIA operative to suddenly be in the middle of all hell breaking loose,” he explained with excitement.

Rosenberg hopes that the book will leave readers “wildly entertained,” while encouraging them to consider the implications of how horrific a world with a nuclear-equipped Iran would be. Additionally, he hopes that readers will consider which presidential contenders hold the power to keep their families safe. Lastly, he hopes that the book will cause people to consider their own salvation — something that’s deeply important in all of his work.

Considering Rosenberg’s track record, it’s likely that all of these goals will be realized. Find out more about his more recent literary work here.

‎5 Ways The Affordable Care Act Benefits Families
Posted by Josh Cohen on Friday, January 07, 2011 at 5:30 PM
The Affordable Care Act makes enormous strides toward providing families with greater control over their health care coverage. This law expands access, lowers costs, and protects consumers so that families have the peace of mind to know that the health of their loved ones is not subject to the whims of insurance companies.

Healthcare.gov is a great resource to learn more about the Affordable Care Act and the benefits it provides for you and your family. Here are 5 wayshealth reform benefits families.

    1. Starting as early as September 23, 2010, insurance companies are prohibited from imposing lifetime dollar limits on essential coverage.

    2. Starting as early as 2010, job-based health plans and new individual plans aren’t allowed to deny or exclude coverage for your children (under age 19) based on a pre-existing condition including a disability. Starting in 2014, these same plans aren’t allowed to deny or exclude anyone or charge more for a pre-existing condition including a disability.

    3. Starting as early as September 2010, if you have children under age 26, you can generally insure them if your policy allows for dependent coverage. The only exception is if you have an existing job-based plan, and your children can get their own job-based coverage. In some plans, you can add your young adult children even earlier than September 2010.

A false prophet? Boy, you’re really painting with a broad brush there, huh? He said he’s not a prophet. So therefore, he can’t be a false prophet, right?

Seems to me he‘s using the talent God gave him to write FICTIONAL stories about CURRENT events and he’s hoping in the process that people will begin to consider their relationship with God, or lack thereof.

And Why would they not read Rosenberg? Do not assume too much here. Rosenberg has authored many books that are not only entertaining, but thought provoking. I find his books to be very well thought out, with interesting plots, character development is excellent, themes are current and engaging. He does not claim himself to be a prophet in any context, and in fact makes such disclaimers. So please, no need to insult based on assumptions.

Joel is a good author, but I don’t think he ever claimed anything beyond that. His birth, parents, friends, etc., really doesn’t matter to me, he’s a good fiction writer with knowledge of his subjects. I am a Christian, I do not believe the “rapture” will occur at the end of time as we know it but rather at the end of time on this planet. The Bible doesn’t support the theory, Jesus is supposed to reign on earth for a thousand years after he comes, tell me, IF there were only bad people “left behind”, why bother at all? There will be a “rapture” just not in the right time frame. Do you honestly believe millions of people could disappear and no one notice? Just as in the days of Noah, things would appear as they always had until the floods came, so shall the coming be, if that’s true and Jesus said it, who’s wrong here? the preacher who says the rapture or Christ’s words? When you read the Bible, don’t leave your common sense behind, don’t use your mouth as an echo chamber from your ears, but use your intelligence and your heart.

The truth of the matter is the “rapture” is a false notion. It is not mentioned in the Bible nor will you find any evidence to back it up. Most people like to point to Revelation and Matthew 24 as proof that these things will happen just before Christ comes again. However Luke 21:20-21 gives us a look into what Matthew 24 is all about. This is speaking of the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. Those who heeded the warnings given in Revelation were able to escape to Pella unharmed. Jesus is not going to reign or set up an earthly kingdom at His 2nd coming… why do I say this? The kingdom is already here: Dan. 7:27 Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’ >>> Heb. 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. >>> Revelation 1:9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ…. interesting phrase “brother and companion in the tribulation” if the tribulation was to be a future event at the 2nd coming then John wouldn’t have said such a thing. When Jesus comes again, it will be the Judgment day, no “rapture” or wars.

Actually, Scarebear, you are quite mistaken all around. The word Rapture is found in scripture. In 1 Thessalonians 4:17, the Latin Vulgate reads “rapiemur”, the root of our word rapture, which Wiktionary defines as follows: v.first-person plural future passive indicative of rapiō “we shall be snatched, we shall be grabbed, we shall be carried off”. The greek word is Harpazo (ἁρπάζω), which Wiktionary defines similarly: 1.to snatch away, carry off 2.to seize hastily, snatch up.

Uncle Tom, nope, not a JW or any other man made denomination. I’m a member of the church that Christ built, the one that bears His name. As for the “rapture” theory, yes we will be caught up with Christ when He comes again, but this is not some secret snatching away for the verse previously states it will be a noisy event, 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. When Christ comes again all will see Him (Acts 1:11). If the rapture theory is correct, the Lord will not appear until His 3rd coming and that is something I have yet to find in the Bible, a 3rd coming. 2 Tim. 4:1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: -When Jesus comes it will be the Judgment. No 1,000 year reign. Actually there is no mention of Him setting foot again on this earth. But there is again a noisy event described in 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. So when Christ comes again all of this will be burned up, so how can He reign on earth 1,000 years if it is burned up? The thousand year reign must then be simply symbolic and not literal.

      Revelation 7
1And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

      Revelation 9
1And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

144,000 from the tribes of Isreal sealed. Where is the church?

His books make for interesting reads. But as prophecy? Not remotely. The reason they seem accurate is because they weave together theology and modern events into something remotely plausible. “The Last Jihad” for example talked about a plane hijacking… which has occurred many times, including under Gadhafi’s orders. It leads to a war in Iraq; which we just had a decade before it was published. Nothing outlandish, not prophetic; you may remember that the hijacking led to using the planes as weapons on the WTS. Not listed in the book. And the country of origin for these attacks? Afghanistan, not Iraq. Pro-prophecy folks will look and say “Hey, this is eerily like real life! He knows stuff!“ Realistic folks will say ”Hey, it’s different than real life. He made some intuitive guesses based on what’s happened in the past.”

Except for those who NEED to see prophecy under every rock, you should enjoy Rosenberg’s stories for what they are: well-written fiction that entertains.

I believe that everything has already been prophesied that is important pertaining to Christ. It’s the interpretation that gets to be mind boggling sometimes..however Zechariah seems to be pretty straight forward. @ASHESTOASHES: The reason why Jews do not consider Messianic Judaism Judaism is because the teachings are more Christians then Jewish. As well a majority of the members are gentiles. If you really look into it you would see the differences. I’m an Ḥasidut Jew and I know my way around my faith. In my view people should be respected for their beliefs but I’m very prideful of Jewish identity. Jews need to preserve Judaism as it was since the time of Moses.

Joel Rosenberg is a converted Jew, and a very interesting author. Much of his stuff is right on. But he and people like Hagge, LaHaye etc., also are falsely spreading Satan’s big lie, the so-called “rapture.”
The tiny country known as Israel, is home to only part of ONE of the 10 tribes of Israel. The others were scattered. They migrated over the Caucasus Mountains, (later to be called Caucasians) to Europe, and the Americas. Basically the Christian nations today.
Israel is more than just a small country in the Middle East.

Sorry but Joel was born to an ethnic Jewish father who married a Christian mother. I believe they both came to the US and began to worship at an Evangelical church after which at some point they had bouncing baby Joel. He has always been a Christian. I read “Inside the Revolution” and found it to be very informative. However, I do not understand why just this month Joel was the guest speaker at a conference at “Olive Tree Ministries” with the lovely Jan Markell and her merry band of religious bigots. Now before I start off a firestorm anyone wondering about St. Jan “religious radio jock” just listen online to any of her online radio recordings regarding “Mormon” or say “Catholic” get the names of these people she has on and then search on them. If you wonder why Glenn says often “SET ASIDE YOUR THEOLOGICAL DIFFERENCES,” all you have to do is see how these people from LOW PLACES like to stir up lies, bigotry, hatred all in the name of “Biblical” or “Scriptural” truth. I KNOW WHO’S SIDE I AM ON!!!

      @Johnny

If Judaism is a race, it doesn’t matter which of your parents was Jewish. Many Birthright organizations accept people with Jewish fathers and non-Jewish mothers. The country of Israel itself accepts both as being part of the Israeli people.

Generally, the more conservative the religious orthodoxy, the more important your mother’s race is to being seen as “Jewish.” Most of the general Jewish population don’t care, so long as you practice the faith. Or so my Israeli friends have told me; again, depending on who you ask, your mileage will vary. They have said that it’s remarkable how many non-Jews think they know the “rules” better than Jews do, though!

@LOCKED: I’m referring to how traditional Jews or Orthodox Jews view the identity who is a Jew. In Judaism you get your tribal status from the father’s side and your Jewish identity from your mother. That doesn‘t mean you’re a religious Jew. I would be highly skeptical of secular Jewish groups who feed bad knowledge of Judaism to many, many people.

Joel Rosenberg sure sounds like a Jewish name to me. And why is it that the entire media without exception screams Islamo fascism (or gets canned like Helen Thomas) ?

Here‘s something to ponder if you’re a truth seeker. The majority (approx. 90%) of those claiming to be Jews today are “Ashkenazi” Jews. These folks descend from Noah’s son “Japeth” not from Shem. Shem’s descendants were the Israelites via Abraham, not the Ashkenazi Jews.

The end times (Armegeddon) war describes the primary attackers of Israel (the people) as the descendants of Japeth, these being Gog and Magog, Togarmah, Gomer and all his bands (Ashkenaz was the son of Gomer).

The Bible tells us that the people will suffer a grand delusion in the last times. Those that believe the likes of Bernanke, Greenspan, Summers, Dimon, Chertoff, Shumer, Waxman, Madoff, Blankfein, Reuben, Levin, or any of the many subversives undermining America are actually the children of Israel that departed Egypt under Moses leadership not only deny the truth that Jesus stated about good fruit can only come from a good tree, but they are truly suffering a grand delusion.

Glenn Beck and John Hagee are wrong.

How does it feel to be a racist obsessed with DNA and the human condition? That’s another way of saying you are possessed by demons of human difference. That’s something that Jesus cured Mary Magdalene of. The spirit is spirit, and DNA is DNA. Less you don’t realize that Moses was spirit, and Moses was off tending to his people (who were also his shoes), and Moses saw the burning Bush(the liveliness of the Hebrews). And Moses then went to the Hebrews. The Bible is a descending story which descends from spirit to finally incarnation. Moses is spirit, and the Books of Moses were handed down from Moses to Aaron.

Does the inheritance rely upon DNA or not ? Was the land promised to the descendants of Jacob/Israel or not ? Wouldn’t it be prudent to have some proof that the wars over the land were actually just and those migrating to Israel actually have a “right of return” ?

Many innocent children have been killed (on both sides) and it seems only right that we truly have justification for this terror.

The claim upon which the State of Israel was implemented is one based upon DNA.

Earthly inheritance of property has to do with DNA and blood-lines, but has nothing to do with spirit. Isaac and Jacob were spirits you buffoon, and that’s what is meant by in their old age they were going “Blind.” It means their larger spirit was fading and getting divided into many peoples.

Abraham was also a spirit of a “Man” and his spirit was divided in a multitude of people. And the land that was given to Abraham is the dry-ground of the human body and mind, the land, the earth, which is what is really meant in Genesis is the human condition. Abraham was given multitudes of people that stretched for miles and miles and miles. People are really beginning to get on my nerves.

The people bleeding and dying in the middle-east are not spirits nor are they dying for spiritual reasons. They are dying because material and secular frauds like the Balfour Proclamation and the UN Mandate have initiated a genocide. Do your homework and find that the Balfour Declaration was actually a letter from Lord Balfour to Lord Rothschild indicating that Britain would support the Israeli State.

The Balfour Declaration was issued in the form of a letter from the British Foreign Secretary, Lord Arthur James Balfour, to Lord Rothschild in 1917. It was delivered to Chaim Weizmann, a Zionist activist, expressing British support for a Jewish “national home” in Palestine.

Later in 1945-46 the UN (under the direction of Alger Hiss (a spy) instituted the UN Mandate to establish the Jewish State.

Neither the Rothschild’s or the UN have good intentions towards America or Christianity. The main drag in Jerusalem is named for “Rothschild” .

Glenn Beck makes mocking remarks about the Rothschilds as if they don’t exist. Nothing could be further from the truth that doesn’t necessarily live here.

I think if you look at the destruction of Egypt as a prototype you see the revolt of creation. All things created fight sky-hail, water-blood, earth-fine dust that causes boils, fish- die in blood, amphibians -frogs overrun country, insects – gnats infest, winged things – locusts devour, plants – crops fail, animals -cattle and other animals die, Let there be light – Let there be dark, Adam – the first born dies. Then new creation – the wind blows over the water in darkness – light dawns and the dry land appears – the parting of the Red Sea. I believe you will see a similar revolt of creation in the last times. In fact I don’t believe the Gore was accidental. Creation testifies to the truth.

I have been studying Bible prophecy for years. The 12th Imam, The Last Days, Rapture, Turkey Alliance, Psalms 83 War, and Israel being Gods time clock. All these events are going to happen, whatever you like it or not. The Bible plainly says so. I challenge anyone to prove there is fallacy in the Bible. Its man’s fallacy that tries to prove it wrong and cant!
One of the best examples of proof is Israel. Name one nation in the entire record since history was recorded that a nation lost its homeland for 2,000 years and in May 1948 returned to its very EXACT state it had! And it still doesn’t have its entire original homeland back (i.e. the “Palestinian Crisis”, Gaza Strip, West Bank and even parts of Jordan and the Sinai ). Hebrew was a “dead language”, and now is the official language. Israel, along with Jerusalem is the most fought over piece of real estate in world history. Read Jerusalem Besieged by Professor Eric H. Cline for a very in depth read of the wars and nations that conquered Jerusalem over the years.
There are a ton of Bible prophecy books out there, but one must be very cautious about them. Some of them a total crap and beyond bizarre, and there are those who keep the Bible in its context and use world history to show how God is in total control of history.
Another good read for those who want some questions is Letters from a Skeptic by Gregory A. Boyd. It has some very good answers on things like, “Why does God let babies die?”

I believe the rapture will happen before the generation that saw Israel become a nation again is all gone. This means those born in the late 40′s. The life span is typically 70 years according to the Bible. So, if you take 1948 as the start of the generation, we only have until 2018. And every time someone gives an exact date, you know that’s not the day. The Bible said no one knows. Ever think that maybe people praying changes God’s mind? He changed his mind on Nineva when they repented. I for one, welcome it. I would love to go home with my family, I’m just not going to do anything to speed it up. God’s timing, not mine.

I just read this book. It is facinating. …you can’t stop once you start. Joel uses a lot of bible scripture in his books and shows the present day meaning of many things that the bible teaches. If you read this, you will think you are watching the nightly news. The setting up of the Islamic caliphate in the mid-east (as Glenn said) ..Russia taking over again as a supper power…Putin has always been very very dangerous. And the U.S. with a President who will not stand up and defend Israel with they are attacked by Iran. The attack on Israel is by the Madi (the 12th Imama out of Iran who says the U.S. will be wiped out after Israel). The potus in the book abstains from voting in the U.N. to protect Israel. Sounds like a former U.S. Senator who voted ‘present’ all the time. For those of you who belive in God’s plan, this is a wonderful book. We know not when but we know the plan because it is all laid out in the bible. Joel’s previous book The Twelfth Imam is also a wonderful book. It tells of the rising of the 12th…the Madi…and his plan to set up an Islamic caliphate and destroy Israel and the U.S. For a look at today’s happenings with a bibical understanding, nothing can beat Joel’s books. This is definately a time of Good vs Evil in the world and that is what Joel writes about. Wonderful, wonderful books that open you eyes and reinforce God’s love through troubling times.

No attack but truth. Joel is a nice man but these are not prophecy. They are similar events people believe are fulfilled prophecy. Fiction. I’m simply saying call it what it is. Propaganda I call it because I saw Joel advocate for war in Iraq, and I’ve currently seen him advocate war with Iran. Both in the name of the Lord! When you write a fiction book that ties parts of the Bible to coincide with your advocation in politics, especially war, it’s propaganda.

      @MooZMom

Hi MoozMom hope you are well. His books are fiction used as prophecy while he advocates for war in the Middle East thru God’s name. That is by definition propaganda. Weeks 7,62,1=70

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. (Daniel 9:26 KJV)

When: AFTER the 62, which is AFTER the first 7. Thus AFTER the 69th week, somewhere in the 70th.
What: Messiah is cut off for us, not himself
Then what: The Prince comes destroys city and over runs with flood till the end

And he {messiah} shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he {messiah} shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and FOR the overspreading of ABOMINATIONS he shall make it DESOLATE, even until the CONSUMMATION {end}, and that determined shall be POURED upon the DESOLATE (Daniel 9:27 KJV)

When: one week, last 1, mid week, 3 1/2
      What: sacrifice cease, oblation cease
      Why: overspreading of abominations
      How: makes desolate
Duration: til END, or determined wrath is POURED

This shows a majority of Joel’s teachings wrong. Joel teaches this 70th week has yet to be fulfilled and will be the 7 years of tribulation in the future. That is false and agenda driven. The Bible shows just that. I can go further if need be. Hope your day is good…

      @MoozMon

Just want to sure this up.

First 7 weeks were the 49 years to build the Temple

62 weeks was  434 years until Messiah comes and is anointed (baptized) Daniel 9:25 tells us the Messiah will come at the 69th week

Last week was the 7 years of Jesus, first 3 1/2 he created a covenant with many and was sacrificed. Last 3 1/2 Jews were preached to only until Stephen was stoned.

49+434+7=490 years or 70 Weeks where each day is a year.

Jesus was the final sacrifice and ceased the oblation. For turning from God and to Pagan worship, He made Jerusalem desolate and over ran with Gentiles until the end and wrath is poured out. (Plagues)

It is clear as day and no “well this meant this and match this verse and take half this verse from over here” junk. God wanted us to know His plan and had it written to be able to be understood.

The people of the Prince came from Pagan Rome in 70 AD and over turned every stone of the Temple and since Jerusaelm has been over ran with Gentiles. Those that listened to Jesus’s prophecy in Matthew fled in 66 AD when Rome was casing Jerusalem and were spared. Those that did not listen were slaughtered. A little over a million if I remember right. History shows this true.

This prophecy is fulfilled and makes most of Joel’s ideas false. All can be saved thru Jesus Christ. Our salvation is only dependent upon Him and nothing else or other people. Look forward to your thoughts.

Gentiles began to be preached to. Daniel does not say they come in the weeks and neither does Jesus. 70 weeks are fulfilled once Stephen was stoned as the first martyr. It was the last of preaching to Jews only and the opening of the Gentiles be preached to. Then the Romans came.

      Surely you can add Joe

Show me where it says the Romans come in the 70 weeks. It doesn’t.

huh, where do you get that at?? meaningless. you don’t believe Joel because his 70th week is delayed…but so is yours…and you can’t even answer the question….if the 70 weeks are fulfilled WHERE IS JESUS????

      “Surely you can add Joe”

yeah I can sum it up that you’re on drugs…wow.

Show me where it says the Romans come in the 70 weeks. It doesn’t. ”

uh romans doesn‘t have anything to do with daniel’s prophecy….69 weeks are done…the 70th waits to be fulfilled…..

I notice you didn’t have the guts to address the issue of the trinity…LOL

I’m starting to feel guilty picking on the simple…

No Joe…This prophesy is not delayed. All 70 weeks are sequential. It does not say Jesus is coming at the end of the 70 weeks.

Yes, Romans are the people of the Prince of the North.

If you only want to be rude and vile and not even try I’m not going to waste my time with you. You have proven over and over that you do not speak or act like a believer of Jesus Christ and again today you show that as well.

So please from today forward avoid speaking with me until you decide to at least try and act like a believer of Jesus Christ. I will ignore you.

Believe as you wish. Take care Joe.

      yeah afraid it does….

      Daniel 9:
24 “Seventy ‘sevens’[c] are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish[d] transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.[e]

and your 70 weeks are non-sequential too…wow I mean seriously you can’t keep your story straight.

“So please from today forward avoid speaking with me until you decide to at least try and act like a believer of Jesus Christ. I will ignore you. ”

translation: you can’t defend your rather bizarre beliefs…no surprise there…and since you don’t believe in the trinity, you don’t believe in the Jesus of the Bible.

      Fruit Loop Joe

Your trinity verses are on your Pagan Halloween article.

Jesus was crucified in the middle of the last week. The weeks are sequential too. Maybe the Bible is beyond your understanding. You have no clue who Jesus is as seen thru your post that sound like a demon with hateful vile insults. Followers of Jesus do nit speak like that. Followers of Jesus do not act like you.

You represent your cult perfectly and demonstrate why no one should listen to a word you say. Now go on….Do you just want my attention. Did daddy not give you enough attention as a child? Do you act out and post rude insults because you want attention? Go away Joe. We have  spoke several times and you always act as if you are on drugs and acting out for attention. If you have nothing nice to say, do not post to me. Now go on and believe as you wish and post hateful, vile, insults to someone else.

      Joe
Jesus in the middle of the last week is crucified and dies for sin. He rises from the grave and goes to Heaven before the Father as the perfect sacrifice and mediator for our sin….What part of that do you not understand Joe…Oh well it does not matter. I’m thru with you.

There is nothing wacko about that. You are just a Pagan bigot who attends the whore of Babylon. Now go on. We have nothing to speak about. You worship your Pagan belief and I’ll worship God the Father, Son And Holy Spirit. Go on.

you worship a non-existant being….a false 3 gods…not the ONE GOD of christianity…your gods do not exist.

why don’t you answer the question, what hellish little cult do you belong to? you must be ashamed of your cult.

      Here’s your what if answered.
3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”

      @Lukerw
“Prophecies… have a strange way of being Fulfilled… but not as anyone expected!”

This is what always makes me laugh when people start talking about prophecies, the end of days, the Rapture, etc. People become so assured that they have the right answers, that it’s all laid out and they know exactly what will happen. When it doesn’t work out that way, they rationalize: either they misread, or a seemingly unconnected event was the actual truth. Very seldom do they say “Ok, this prophecy is plain false, and I was a rube for buying into it.”

In my opinion, there is no point in paying attention to prophecy. Either:
      1. You’re reading it wrong;
      2. It’s not a real prophecy; or
      3. It’s real, non-specific, and you can’t change it.

If you learn something and are still powerless to stop or change it, you might as well have spent your life trying to improve what you can change in the world rather than wasting your time freaking out about things you have no power over.

As for the author, his books make for interesting reads. But as prophecy? Not remotely. The reason they seem accurate is because they weave together theology and modern events into something remotely plausible. “The Last Jihad” for example talked about a plane hijacking… which has occurred many times. It leads to a war in Iraq; which we just had a decade before it was published. Nothing outlandish, not prophetic. Except for those who NEED to see prophecy under every rock.

      ok list the false prophecies…..

“As for the author, his books make for interesting reads. But as prophecy? Not remotely. ”

uh I don’t think he claims his books are prophecy….but they use prophecy weaved into current events….why are you so exercised about this?

      @Joe

I don’t read into prophecies, as said. Most don’t have a shelf life either; hence why I listed the three main outcomes of prophecy. Even if true, they don‘t matter if you can’t change anything. This will, or will not, happen, no matter what you do. If the world was to end tomorrow, all that matters is how you live today. If your behavior would have changed knowing that the end is nigh, then you’re not living like your should today.

As to the other point, the entire basis of the article is that people are claiming his books are prophetic. My point is: they’re just as “wrong” as they are “right”; these people are foolish.

no you can’t, but the Lord admonished us to see the signs of the time and prepare….like the 10 virgins and their lamps….
