Christian Girl Allegedly Raped & Beaten for Months By Men Tied to Militant Islamic Org

Reports indicate that a 12-year-old Christian girl was kidnapped and repeatedly raped for months on end by a radical Islamic group in Pakistan. The girl, whose name has been withheld (she is referred to as “Miss Anna” by at least one human rights group) to protect her privacy, was apparently abducted after a friend lured her onto a shopping trip.
But what originally started as a fun day out with her friend quickly turned ugly. Instead of going on a shopping spree, the young girl was driven 120 miles and was subsequently raped by the friend’s uncle back in January 2011. This was the beginning of what would become a tragic nightmare that has yet to conclude.
Two days later, the girl was purportedly forced to sign marriage papers, thus officially tying her to her captor. Then, she was purportedly beaten for refusing to convert from Christianity to Islam. What followed was an eight-month “prison” sentence during which she was held against her will.
According to the Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC), the rapists have ties to a militant Muslim organization called Lashkar-e-Tayyaba. AHRC also reports that it is precisely because of this affiliation that the perpetrators have not yet been arrested. In fact, the police have apparently been ignoring reports of her disappearance since January (when her father first reported her missing).
The AHRC has more about the girl’s rescue:
In the first week of September 2011, more than eight months after her disappearance, Anna called her family from Tandianwalla, district Faisalabad, 190 kilometers from Lahore, and told them that she had been abducted but had escaped and was hiding at a bus stop. The parents went there and recovered her. She was brought back to her home and the parents produced her before the First Class Magistrate, factory area, Shadra, Miss Aasma Tehseen, who recorded her statement under section 164 of Cr Pc but did not order any action for her protection or a medical checkup.
While she inevitably escaped and has been reunited with her family, the drama is far from over. According to AHRC, the police have allegedly told her parents that it would be better to hand her over to her “legal” husband than for a criminal case to unfold against them.
Now, the family is in hiding and members of Lashkar-e-Tayyaba are searching for them. Even more bizarre, the group has claimed that the young girl is pregnant, a claim that her mother denies.
The British Pakistani Christian Association has launched a petition to encourage the Pakistani government to investigate the incident.
This story comes after a report this summer that a disturbing trend is developing in Pakistan, as young Christian and Hindu women are increasingly being raped and forced to convert to Islam. Radical Pakistani clerics have also called the Bible “blasphemous” and have sought to ban it.

While this is an awful story what purpose does it serve other than to incite hatred? Why not mention the 20-25 thousand Americans murdered in cold blood on our streets each and every year if you’d like to call attention to a severe shortcoming of our Republic. Where’s the outrage fellow Consevatives? Where? Do we hate that?
We are willing to send our Army to Afghanistan and Iraq because supposedly 19 Saudis killed almost 3 thousand Americans at the cost of several trillion dollars and the death/maiming of 10s of thousands of our young men. What is the reason for this discrepancy? Why the inconsistency? Why do we have to forgo so many of our hard won Liberties in the name of a War on Terrorism while common street thugs pose an exponential greater danger to our society than Muslim extremists do?
Why are so many fellow Conservatives seemingly oblivious to this contradiction 10 years after the fact? My goodness people it’s time to wake up and think! Do not be deceived by this War on Terror. As a result, relations with Pakistan, a key country in the ME, have gone sour. Second, because Obama has emboldened our enemies and slighted our allies: Iran is on a nuclear path, but Obama will not allow Israel to take action; the ROE and nation-building strategy without prior defeat of the enemy has led to more casualties in Afghanistan and no victory in sight; Iraq’s fledgling democracy has given way to sectarian violence; the Arab Spring/Islamization of the ME and northern Africa places us and Israel in significantly greater peril; Chavez has extend his commie tentacles to yet another nation (Peru), and so the list goes on. I think a lot of really stupid liberal policies- creating a wellfare state, poor government education, etc…lots of stuff can be pointed to for the number of murders/etc in our own country. And this IS a serious cancer in the society- also, entertainment! When sex is always pushed on TV, in movies and in video games, online, etc…people are going to have more sex on the brain. Thus, more single moms, more victimized women, more perverted forms of sex…
But about this particular article: it appears they try to trap women by impregnating them. O__O There’s one young lady who will NEVER convert to Islam. To be fair, though, I don’t believe the Jewish people are somehow the special lambs of the earth or whatever people talk about here sometimes. I feel there are some very spiritual vibrations in Israel, in the places where Christ spoke- and other great liberated souls across the world also have left their mark in different places. It‘s a shame that certain extremist Muslims would see these places torn down because they don’t represent their religion. For that reason (and others) I’m happy there exists a solid, sane government in israel, and I think the people there are generally good folks and good allies, and therefore Israel, from a strategic point of view, is worth protecting. I wish the world was perfect, or that we had the power to wave a wand and stop all starvation, all violence…but America doesn’t have the power to do that. I think the world still has a lot of growing up to do.
So….I guess as a nation. we’ll continue to struggle with how much intervention in the world is good, necessary, is bad…you know. The moral struggle, the practical struggle. How much military, how much government money- where it should go. How closely tied to our own interested it should be. I think a nation whose people are charitable to the world is a wonderful thing- not necessarily the government, though.

The world is not going to be saved by the intervention of the American Government in all matters, but only by the Lord. So let’s not fret and trust in Him.
If you are a follower of Christ, then there is a beautiful thing about this story, if you’re willing to look at it from a spiritual perspective: the girl was beaten and raped for NOT DENYING AND FORSAKING JESUS. This girl is strong, and so is her faith! It sounds like this child is truly a child of the Lamb, and that is a wonderful thing. After all, we (followers of Jesus), know that we will be persecuted for our faith and holding to His testimony. The attackers will probably never know justice in this life, but believe me, it is surely coming, in God’s time. So let’s pray for this girl and her family, being confident that God knows exactly what is going on here, and we entrust them to His care and will.

We are willing to send our Army to Afghanistan and Iraq because supposedly 19 Saudis killed almost 3 thousand Americans at the cost of several trillion dollars and the death/maiming of 10s of thousands of our young men. What is the reason for this discrepancy? Why the inconsistency? Why do we have to forgo so many of our hard won Liberties in the name of a War on Terrorism while common street thugs pose an exponential greater danger to our society than Muslim extremists do?
