Two Christian Teen Girls Allegedly ‘Shot Dead’ in India for Reading Bible

The international news website BosNewsLife reports two teen sisters in India were “brutally murdered” when a group of possible Muslim militants found the two reading a Bible. The website cites a Christian missionary as the source of the story:

Suspected Islamic militants have killed two Christian teenagers who were reading the Bible in the disputed Kashmir valley, divided between India and Muslim Pakistan, BosNewsLife established Tuesday, February 8.

The victims were identified as Arifa, 17, and Akthar, 19, the daughters of Gulam Nabi Dar, said local missionary Mercy Ciniraj, who knew them well. “The [murdered] girls were believers and used to read the Bible through underground ministries.”

She told BosNewsLife that “the girls were shot dead” last Monday, January 31, in the Baramulla area in Indian-controlled northern Kashmir, bordering Pakistan.

They were “brutally murdered” by at least three fighters of Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan based Islamic militant “terrorist” group, she explained. Local police reportedly said in statements that they found two bodies near their home and that militants were to blame.

    I really don’t want to hear about colateral damage in the middle east. There is no such animal untill all the criminal terriorists are killed or captured.     Christians are being targeted. CNN had a headline yesterday “7 Faithy Corporations”. They listed corporations that were owned by Christians, stating that these corporations were supporting the groups against same sex marriages, etc. I think CNN needs to be held accountable for putting this list up, it could be interpreted as a “hit” list.

      Your scenario could actually happen the way you state it, but the Bible does not lay it out like this. Please do not impose your personal prophecy into what the Bible does not say. It would be better to let the Bible (God’s Word) speak for itself.

      My only problem with this scenerio is Russia or China. Why would they even care about lillte Isreal? It doesn’t make sense. Isreal is a small country that has nothing of interest to either one of these giants.

      Actually “knowing” has it spot on. It does say so in the Bible if you know the references to Gog and Magog. I am not sure if it is Israel’s nuclear weapons that stop the attack or the divine intervention of God himself. I have recently finished reading Matthew, Ezekial and Revelations now I am on to Daniel and Isaiah. I get chills when I read God’s word then read the newspaper. One is love your enemy, turn the other cheek…completely spiritual aspirations focused on what comes after this world. The other is convert, enslave, or murder those who don’t follow the Koran.       If you’re referring to the crusades and inquisitions, I really wonder about ‘history’ as we know it. All around us you can see how lies are repeated so often that they become accepted as truth by the masses…and after decades or centuries, become established “fact”.

      For example, Pope Pius XII who was head of the Catholic Church during WWII. To read most accounts today, you would believe he was a Nazi supporter during the war. This is complete rubbish, as evidenced by his being honored by Golda Meir, and other prominent Jews immeidately after the war for doing what he could to help the Jews. Two hundred years from now I have no doubt that most history will claim he was a nazi supporter, or at least sympathizer.

      Now think of the the ‘brutal’ Crusades, inquistions, the popes with supposed illegitimate children, etc etc. Is that what really happened? I honestly question it. Maybe lies have become history since men have been able to write.

    I feel for the girls and there parents. It is a shame that they had to hide the fact that they read the bible and I am glad that I still live in America where even though you can be called names because you read the bible you won’t be shot, hung, whipped, or beaten for it. We are loosing those rights slowly and I pry that when they are gone I will have been taken to heaven. Bless the family’s that take that chance.

      Agreed that this is a grounds for war, and a war between the nations of India and Pakistan may be what the extremists are actually seeking to initiate. Warfare would give them a window to either take over completely, or move forward in the shifting of power into their own favor and give the foundation for the next series of moves they have prepared.

      To all of you Liberals who keep welcoming Muslim mosques in America… if this is how Muslims treat people for reading the Bible, do you really think they’re going to be tolerant of Liberals who want same sex marriages, or for that matter, women who want to walk down the streets of New York without their faces covered? When Islam conquers America, you Liberals can say goodbye to Planned Parenthood and poor Katie Couric will have to pitch her ideas about Islamic comedies to the local New York Islamic Council under a burkha with tiny slits for her eyes, then the council will have her stoned in Madison Square Garden for blaspheming the Koran.

      Yeah those girls were a real threat to you Muslim men. All women seem to be a threat to Muslim men that they have to beat, rape, and keep them down. IMO, any woman who wants to become a Muslim has to be certifiable, unless they are born into it.

      …The wife on “Little Mosque on the Prarie seems pretty happy! Her muslim husband even lets her make cucumer sandwiches for the “after-fast” ramadan kegger!

      It is astounding to me how tolerant people are toward Islam. Baffling, and really disgusting! What happened to the ‘men’ in this world and this country? We have lost the “Greatest Generation” for a certainty.

      AMEN, the time has come for all Americans and especially Christians to speak up and out, no more of the PC nonsense. We will no longer go silently into the night and not call it was it is, it’s hatred and evil, obviously they have been taught to hate Christians and Jews. Where is the outcry from the Muslim world?

      No wonder so many convicts convert to Islam in prison. They see it as a license to kill.

      Tragic. Let me know when all the peaceful Muslims stand up against this terrible crime. I won’t hold my breath.
