Christie Tells Iowa Donors He’s Still Not Running

PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is still not running for president.

A group of Iowa campaign contributors traveled to New Jersey to persuade the first-term Republican governor to change his mind and take on President Barack Obama in 2012.

Christie, his wife and political advisers had the group of seven donors and activists over for dinner at the governor’s mansion in Princeton.

According to several people who attended, Christie told Iowa energy company executive Bruce Rastetter — the force behind the meeting — that a run for the Oval Office is not something Christie and his family have begun contemplating.

As a consolation, Christie did accept an invitation to speak at an education conference in July hosted in Iowa by Gov. Terry Branstad.

The truth as I see it is; the Republicans have no one that can beat Mr. Hope and Change. The ones that could aren’t running. The old saying about “when good men do nothing” is sadly true. When your country calls, you should step up.

Governor Christie is “too obese to be a viable candidate,“ and ”it’s an embarrassment, and he knows it..” Now there are two incredible examples of critical thinking…I simply don’t know how you managed to discern that the governor is fat….Wow…I am in awe…..

Gluttony is a deadly sin. Calories have clearly been put in place of our Lord.
“You shall have no other gods before me..”
Gluttony is grouped with wrath, envy, pride, greed, lust and sloth. I don’t admire that in a President. O‘bama has pride and look how it’s working out.

Michael Reagan is wrong about the conservative vote being split and that is why McCain didn’t win against Obama. McCain is NOT a conservative. He IS a progressive. The election boiled down to voting for the lesser of two evils. I hope that I can vote FOR someone in this next election. I pray there will be a ‘real’ conservative candidate this time around.

Christy isn’t running, I’m good with that. We need someone like Cain, West or if we really want to restore America we need Palin or Bachmann, either one has what it takes. I think it’s time to elect a strong woman to office and put either Cain or West as VP.Preferably West. Like I said before these two ladies have more B-lls than all the male candidates who are mostly wimps or Rinos on the conservative ticket.I give Cain loads of credit for standing up for America and making a commitment to lead. I could vote for Herman as well.

Still hoping Col. If we can get ONLY ONE STATE to say obama is not qualified to be on the State ballot it would change the 2012 election.

Christie has a problem today with the use of a helicopter to see his son’s baseball game in Montvale. Something he condemned others for doing. Since the NJ supreme court rejected his cuts in the education budget. He and the democratic controlled houses have been going back and forth on how to make up the difference. Governor Christie is hanging in tough; which is why I don’t want him to go anywhere. This battle has only just begun, and I don’t see anyone that could take his place.

We have some good conservatives thinking about running that can beat Obama, so why don’t the republicans get in behind them and stop whining to Christie when he said no already. He is just another politician, not a god. I would trust anyone over Obama and we are not going to get this country where it needs to be by 2016 anyway, bc Obama trampled on us big time. Start working on impeachment for all the crime being committed and allowed by this administration and we won’t have to worry about who runs in 2012. If Obama was impeached Biden could sleep without complaints from any media and we could see what John Boehner could do for us. One thing I know, he would definately shed some tears for us and I would be so excited to get rid of the Liar- in chief I would join right in and cry me an overjoyed river.

you’ve said a lot here and a good bit of truth.
history shows us that there is a solution that a lot of people don’t want to consider. read about Grover Cleveland and Calvin Coolage. Reagan tried to impliment what these men did. He was lied to by the left. So , the answer is simple . implement these policies and no comprimise with the marxist left . they have shown themselves to be untrustworthy duplicious cave dwellers.

the reason that some wont is simple . they are what Aristotle refered to as …”perfect self made slaves.” they are stuck to the gov. teat. others just fear the sudden economical down turn . Lafferian economics forces the system to reset itself. but historically all that have implemented irt and did not tamper with it saw massive sustained groqwth within 18-22 months. so, the point is that we can have our country turned around by 2014. we won’t have to wait to 2016. just remember the left will lie and use the alinsky play book. call them out and stay the course.

UNITE AS A SINGLE FORCE AND PLOW THROUGH THE COMPITITION! The greeks and Romans locked shields , West has aptly used this analogy and he’s right.

If a person of intelligence can see where our country was, where it has gone and become, and where it is progressing to by the progressives, and still will not step up to help said country, then this person should never be our prez.

IMO, every man, woman, and child [who can] should want to do everything possible to help our country get out of the pig trough Obama has led up to.
But Christi does not want to do anything except for his own state, leaving 49 others to go to he11. Which is ok, cause me thinks Christi is not far from the same cloth of Obama.
