‘Class War is Here’: Video of Socialists Rallying in Wis. Supports Beck’s Theory

Recently, Glenn Beck has been predicting that socialists would seize on the unrest in Egypt in order to promote revolution in the United States. There may be no better proof of that than the video below, shot by the MacIver Institute in Madison, WI this week.
In it, Socialists clearly root for revolution, see a direct correlation between the riots in Egypt and the unrest in Wisconsin, and hope that the same thing that happened in Egypt can happen in America.
“I feel like this response actually partly reflects that we just spent a month watching people hold revolutions and stand up in a way, frankly, I didn’t imagine was possible in the near term,” one woman says. “And I think…that kernel of resistance and defiance is the common thread here and I’m so glad to be a part of it.”
Another man announces an upcoming event, “From Cairo to Madison,“ and explains attendees will get instruction on how to ”mobilize workers like they did in Egypt.” He adds, “hopefully we can have something like that here,“ and ”workers unite”:

As the call for revolution in Egypt seems to be spreading throughout the Arab world, so, too, should the Madison Revolution be a cry to the American people to wake up and demand what is rightfully theirs. How fitting that this new American revolution was born in a city named for one of the framers of the Constitution.
Now is the time to brush up on our Gandhi and our Dr. King. We have the power to turn this country around, and we can do it non-violently. It happened in India in the 1940s and again in this country in the 1960s. Let’s make it make it happen again.

You speak greater truth than you realize. Yes, Madison is the “ground zero” for the new “American Revolution”.. True patriots who care anything about this country are being roused from their slumber across this great country. They will learn and see what is happening … how our country is truly threatened from within by socialists and communists…. and greed. These “teachers” don’t even know history or they would know the result of socialism on their own lifestyles and incomes. They are so blind they don’t even see that THEY ARE THE RICH to the rest of us in America. An income of $100,000 ($60,000. plus $40,000 in benefits) makes them VERY VERY VERY rich in my book. They want equal income… let them know what it is like to earn 25,000 to 30,000 dollars a year without benefits. See what they say then.
And so yes, America is waking up and a new revolution has begun. And we will not lose our freedom… we will not lose our country…. Socialists…prepare to be defeated. There are many other socialist countries in the world. It is time for you to move there. There is only one America and you shall NEVER have her!

No, you’re wrong. If they brought out their guns, they would be easy to fight. Traitors won’t do that. Traitors are slimy, insidious, cowards who know they can only win by inflicting “a death by a thousands cuts” on America. So we do need to confront them on every level. We’ve turned our heads and said “what’s the big deal” for so long that we now find our self on the edge.
“If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not to costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case, you may have to fight when there is no home of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves”. Winston Churchill

We must always pay attention to the back story of any big news event like this. Besides those we already are aware of who is footing the bill for all these ppl to be there? But hey, they are pinkos (and Democrats), so when they think their ideas won’t carry the day, they will simply try to take over by force. This is horribly unAmerican, and that’s pretty much the definition of “Pinko.” We don’t need a revolution, we need to go back and honor our Constitution, and toss out anytihng done since it was written, that is counter to it. Posted on February 18, 2011 at 4:02pmOk. So let me get this straight…. Beck’s theory is that socialists in America will make reference to events in Egypt? So then, I guess, one could only prove Beck’s “theory” wrong if no one who identifies themselves as a socialist ever makes any reference to the contemporary events that everyone else in the world seems to be talking about.
Congratulations Beck! You have come up with a theory so easy to “prove” that it means absolutely nothing. Look folks, this whole conspiracy thing is just a rhetorical trick Beck is using to sound like he can predict world events. Do you notice his careful use of ambiguous phrases like “like-minded“ and ”would seize on”? You can’t get more slippery than that!
Look, I know none of you are really inclined to listen to me, but please, take a minute to think about the rhetorical trick Beck is playing here. Think back to your high school and/or college writing classes. If you wrote an essay with a thesis that said something like “this group and this group are like-minded,” you’d probably get it back with a big red note saying you have a weak and vague argument. Let’s at least hold Beck to the same standards as a college freshman in composition class.

Posted on February 18, 2011 at 4:37pmThe labor unions have made a grave tactical error in assuming that what is happening in Cairo will work here. What they have very successfully accomplished is to piss off the majority of the nation. Good riddance to unions because you are all going down. The majority of people in the US are not union friendly socialists as they have seen the result of big labor’s burden on the tax payer to fill the gap in pay and pension deficits. For whatever reason, the union pawns feel their rights are being violated yet do not see that they are the problem.

It’s going to come down to 1 of a few things as I can see.
Report Post »1-They may realize they’re not going to get their way and go home before they get fired but continue to whine and complain through various forms of media.
2-There may be counter-protest to show them how greedy they are and how their entitlement/elitist mentallity is tearing down the very country that stands because of a rebuke of the very way they’re acting.
3-It’s going to turn violent and the national guard will have to be called in.
4-They’ll self-destruct before the eyes of the nation, implode on themselves and tear each other down, kinda like starving rats.
I hope #3 doesn’t happen. If it does I feel pretty confident that the conservatives, constitutionalists, Tea Partiers, etc. will not be the instigators. I’m hoping for #4.

“A nation can survive its’ fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the galleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor–He speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and wears their face and their garment, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation–he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city–he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared.” Cicero, 42 B.C., Roman Statesman, orator, and author.

Posted on February 19, 2011 at 2:06pmWhen my husband and I emigrated from Uruguay in 1968 our little South American democracy was going through what we are seeing now in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, New Jersey and what is coming to all the States that want to put a stop to the “dictatorship” of the Unions, especially the Public Sector Unions and to uncontrolled spending. We never thought that this “cancer” would spread to the United States.
Report Post »Unions like the ones that are protesting in Madison, Columbus, etc., bankrupted Uruguay the same way Public Sector and Teachers Unions are bankrupting the individual states. I remember my high school and my university being closed because the teachers and professors wanted more money and benefits and the students unions “occupied” the schools “in solidarity” with their professors and teachers. I remember public offices being closed and public services being denied to people by striking public employees who demanded more and more and the politicians who would not confront them. Uruguay went downhill and hit economic bottom before the people even had time to realize what had been done to them.
I hope and pray that this won’t happen in America but I worry; I never thought that I would see scenes like the ones in Madison, especially with the Democratic Senators “escaping” in order not to vote – talk about Banana Republic behavior! Hopefully, sane and thoughtful minds will prevail and the Unions assault on America will be stopped.

Posted on February 19, 2011 at 2:48pmPubliuspencilman,
I respect you for the most past. You are not “just” a troll and can usually be counted on to provide a good argument. I even agree with what you are saying about Beck’s argument, but that is beside the point. Beck presents a childish argument precisely because the left can be counted on to try and deny what he claims just as most of the trolls in here will argue any point that their enemy agrees with.
Let me ask, why do you do it? Why waste your time here? Your ideology is obviously different from the majority of posters here. Like any large group of anonymous people you have all types here. Some are thoughtfully articulate, many are barely literate. You have the ideological bots from both sides. Why are you wasting your time? Just so you know, I often ask myself the same question…

Posted on February 19, 2011 at 7:22pmSurprisingly, people still haven’t learned from their “educations”. ‘Theory’ and ‘reality’ rarely apex at the same intersect point in any combination of dimensions.
A ‘manifesto’, or theoretical script, can only become reality in theater or on TV. Life, always, falls short, some times desperately short, of idealism. Any history student can attest to that. But any one with a brain should be able to relate that to you, if you haven’t the intellectual capacity for conceptual development to conclusion ability.
Idealism is the driving motivation, whether or not these morons want to admit it is irrelevant, behind such a foolish movement. “Manifestos” and “dialogs” of former failures of tyrannical movements are refined ‘theory’. And are not based in reality.
Each, and every, socialist construct of any complexity, Marxist, Leninist, Maoist, Communist, Fascist, you name it, has fallen not just short but MISERABLY short of its stated goal. Present day and past day. There is not a single exception of note. Not one.
But who has “paid” for these failures? The ‘people’. The “People” that these movements portended or really pretended to stand for paid. In their sweat, treasure, blood and with their lives. All for the egos and self aggrandizement of some small minded despot.
The beauty and real grandeur of the American system of government has not been properly related to our citizens. Nor has it been properly effected (implemented) by our members of government. Like humans themselves it has its imperfections. As humans, we have ‘tolerated’ those mistakes with some grace.
That tolerance has now built a debt we cannot sustain any longer. It may be time to clean the board and return to the starting point.
I believe it was B. Franklin, who after the 1st continental congress, was asked by a woman (I paraphrase): “Well, Mr. Franklin, what have you given us?” and he responded : “A republic, if you can keep it.”
A great deal of thought and consideration, leaving ego and self interest out, went into constructing our nation. Power wasn’t a consideration, except in leaving the possibility of acquiring and keeping it, out.
Ever since then our leaders have struggled to undermine the limitations on their ‘power’ and they have worked (literally) against the free market system. GM is a prime example. But so is GE.
Opening the ‘arc’, or pandoras box, if you prefer, so to speak, in the pursuit of power will destroy everything. Not just “some” stuff. Have Americans lost that fundamental understanding? Are we now ready to destroy what was and has been the greatest nation Earth has ever known now in pursuit of some idealistic concept?
Not once EVER has idealism wrought a close relationship to its end achievement. Well, maybe the Lord of the Rings, but that’s it. Learn and understand. But be careful what you wish for, you may just get it.
