CNN Anchor Grills Trump on Birther Convictions

As Allahpundit over at Hot Air points out, possible GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has been on the television circuit articulating his birther position. He appeared on the Today Show this morning where he gave his line on having “doubts” about Obama’s birthplace. Then, later this afternoon, he was on CNN, where host Suzanne Malveaux was well-prepared to take him on. How does Trumps fare?
In their exchange, Trump observes, ”I hope he was born in the United States…because if he wasn’t, it’s the greatest scam in history.”
He also adds: “If I decide to run, I would like to really do it on a really straight up, head to head, Man to Man basis.”
“Why can’t he produce a birth certificate? I hope he can.”

For some reason, a lot of people seem to think Barack Obama shouldn‘t be required to produce HIS birth certificate to prove his natural born citizenship as one of the US Constituon’s requirements for ALL candidates for the office of the POTUS.
WHY IS BARACK HUSSAIN OBAMA JR. above the law ? Shouldn’t Obama be required to fulfill the oath he took to protect and obey the US Constitution? Is the US Contitution an “in complete document that fails to address important issues like the redistribution of wealth” as Obama has said in recorded interviews ? Evidently to Obama and AG Holder the Constitution is a meaningless piece of paper.

Why is that so hard for people to understand? If Obama, Jr. had been born in the lap of Abe Lincoln’s statue, he would have DUAL citizenship, not natural-born citizenship. His father was a British subject, and was in Hawaii as a student only.

U.S. Constitution – Article 2 Section 1
“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”
The Constitution uniquely requires only the President to be NATURAL BORN CITIZEN, meaning born on American soil of TWO citizen parents! The Founding Fathers purposefully and specifically stipulated that being a citizen is adequate for Congressional eligibility but they required more than basic citizenship for the President.

My Step Dad and his wife at the time traveled to Canada to visit Relatives, where his wife gave birth early to my sister. Canada issued her a certificate of live Birth (Not a birth Certificate) a few weeks later they returned back to Washington and went to the Hospital in Everett. They had her examined and told the Hospital She had been born at home just days earlier. The Hospital issued her another Certificate of live Birth and let it be.
2 weeks After the Hospital posted that Certificate of live Birth the local paper the Everett Herald reported with all the other birth announcements that my sister had been born in Everett Washington more than a month after her birth. Back then a lot of small town papers posted all the new births and deaths in the community, and most of those announcements came from the local Hospital records. In the early 90′s my own sons birth was posted in the local paper without my participation.

Even assuming he is a citizen born in Hawaii, he is not eligible because he is not a “natural born citizen” as required by the Constitution, meaning born on American soil of TWO citizen parents!
He is further disqualified for having dual citizenship by being born a British citizen under the British Nationality Act of 1948, as his father was a British citizen of colonial Kenya.

Even if Trump does not run in 2012, he is doing the country a great service by bringing this issue out in front where it belongs. Can anyone give a logical explanation as to why Obama would spend nearly 2 million dollars to avoid displaying his birth certificate? That is a tremendous amount of money that he could have donated to a worthy charity instead of using it for stonewalling. The longer this debate goes on, the guiltier he appears to be.

The overly touted birth announcement in the local paper is completely insignificant; it simply means that the information Obama’s mother used to obtain a “Certificate of Live Birth” or COLB, which as a new state HI had once casually issued for children up to two years of age to resident parents without requiring proof of birth location, was also provided to the paper for routine inclusion.

Obama has not produced proof of his birth except for an unsigned certificate of live birth. What is really scary is that no one, in any controlling legal authority, has attempted to request proof of his eligibility.
I was never a birther and assumed he was U.S. born citizen. However the more I dig into this, the less confident I feel of this fact.

The US Constitution specifies that the POTUS must be a NATIVE BORN CITIZEN .This terminology has been defined by constitutional scholars meaning the candidate must have NATIVE BORN PARENTS. Barack Obama Sr. was a citizen of the UK since he was born in Kenya, which at the time of his birth was a British Colony or Protectorate. Is Barack Obama Sr. listed as Barack Obama Jr’s on his birth certificate? Is that just ONE of the hidden facts? Is race another? Some speculate that his birth certificate indicates he’s caucasian and not negroid, thus demolishing the first black American President title.
There are many, too many, unanswered questions about Obama such as his lack of a birth certificate, school records, fraudelent SS card or SS cards that were issued to him from two states, Hawaii and Connetticut. Obama, prior to being elected a Senator from Illinois in the mid 2000′s is an obscure individual. Should the POTUS have just cause by executive decree to seal ALL his personal records if he or she has nothing to hide? Most American citizens, including myself , are like open books that can be read by anyone. Why not the POTUS?

And, this was supported by later decisions.
You just have to be born here, folks. The founders had no other intention than that.

Do we really have any credibility for the governer in Hawaii, that says he remembers Obama being born. What did he sit there and read the birth announcements every morning and memorize them all those years! Really!
