CNN Investigation: ‘Birther’ Claims Lack Merit

CNN:
Dr. Chiyome Fukino, a former director of the Hawaii Department of Health and a Republican, told CNN in her most extensive comments to date that she has “no doubt” Obama was born in the state.
Obama’s 2008 campaign produced a certification of live birth, a document legally accepted as confirmation of a birth and routinely used for official purposes. Fukino went one step further, taking advantage of a state law that allows certain public officials to examine a person’s actual birth certificate if there is a “direct and tangible interest.”
The president’s certificate, she said, is stored in a vault in the building that houses the Department of Health.
Ironically, unlike the certificate of live birth, it is no longer accepted for official usage.
Obama’s certificate is “absolutely authentic,” she said. “He was absolutely born here in the state of Hawaii.”

We are only asking that those running for the office of president of the United States prove that they are constitutionally eligible to hold that office. What I believe or what you believe or what anyone else believes is irrelevant. What matters is the truth. We also like the idea of transparency regarding a candidates history. The current president has done nothing to let the citizens of this country learn who he really is. very few of his records have been released (Birth, School, Medical) and those that have been released are questionable. Even his Draft form has major discrepancies. We should all be from Missouri and tell the president, “Show Me.”

Just as determined Trump is to unearth the truth is the media’s protection tactics for this president. I don‘t like hypothetical that much but in this case I think it’s warranted. I personally believe he was not born in Hawaii, but a REAL birth cirtificate would make me drop my doubts. Of course, you can‘t produce what doesn’t exist. It’s up to him to allay the controversy.

American voters do NOT have to prove where obama was born…he HAS to prove where he was born, and to date he has not done this. The Dems vetted him and accepted his Certificate of Live Birth, which is NOT proof of where he was born. The law in Hawaii, at the time he was suppose to have been born there, allowed a family member to obtain a Certificate of Live Birth anytime from birth to age one. The grandparents, who were Communists, along with his mother, knew how important it was to establish that he was an American citizen, legal or not. The newspaper announcement, real or not, could have been for social reasons, especially since the ‘marriage’ between his mother and Obama Sr. was not legal. Obama Sr. supposedly married Ann when she was pregnant, but he had a pregnant wife in Kenya at the same time, so the marriage was not legal in the U.S. We do NOT have to prove he is eligible, HE HAS TO PROVE he is eligible and he is not forthcoming with the proof.

Posted on April 26, 2011 at 1:36pmSeriously, it has nothing to do with where he was physically born…it has to do with whatever the requirement for being “natural born” is. The problem is, there are only a couple roles in American life where this archaic definition needs to be applied. Since he is the first president whose citizenship status is somewhat marginal, the definition, according to the federal law in place that codifies the Constitutional requirement, is the thing at issue. As long as the federal law is deemed constitutional, that is the definition that should be used to determine citizenship.
He must prove that he was born in Hawai’i, not wait for the U.S. people to prove a negative, and his birth must meet the requirement of the federal law, as written or amended.
How he gets on the state ballot is up to each state. If they want to allow the parties to present marginal, unqualified candidates in their fanatical, political fervor, then they are welcome to do it.
It is a federal office, and the federal statute is the only standard that should be used. Everything else comes from that.
Glenn does a disservice to America framing this as some kind of “they all think it was planned he would be president before he was born” stuff. It is a strawman, and he should be remorseful about presenting it this way, and use due diligence if he wants to discuss the matter at all.

NOW that we have established where Barry was born, let’s look at who he was born to . . . . Does Barry Obama meet the “natural born Citizen” requirement in Art. II, Section 1, Clause 5 of our US Constitution if being born to a U.S. citizen mother and British citizen father?
HINT: Take a look at the language in John Jay’s letter to George Washington about the citizenship of the President – or the US Supreme Court case Minor v. Happersett (1874), or the Wong Kim Ark Supreme Court Case outlining what qualifies as a “natural born Citizen” or Vattel’s Law of Nations or the current U.S. State Department’s Foreign Affairs Manual discussing problems associated with dual citizenship: 7 FAM 081.

Now as I am looking at this story, Beck is explaining to me, via his radio show, that even if I know that birth announcements could have been placed by a variety of people for a variety of reasons as “extra help” that this new little baby be considered a US citizen, I am now a conspiracy theorist, and I am a (stupid) “birther” who thinks whoever placed the announcements necessarily thought the new little baby would someday run for President. Problem is, I am not a conspiracy theorist. I just happen to know what people are willing to do to make sure that their new little babies are assured American citizenship. No conspiracy here. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.
