‘Coddler-in-Chief’: Fiery Rep. West Rips Obama and His Lack of Leadership

Speaking at a Miami-Dade GOP Lincoln Day dinner on Saturday, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) accused President Barack Obama of refusing to stand up to two-bit, third world despots, including Fidel Castro, Castro’s “BFF” (“best friend forever”) Venezuela President Hugo Chavez, and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

“This is a dangerous world in which we are living. The threat in China as a rising superpower, Iran draws even closer to developing nuclear capabilities, and we are sitting around acting like Sir Neville Chamberlain in the 1930s, waving a piece of paper believing that there will be ‘peace in our time,’” said a fired-up Rep. West, referring to the famously incompetent and ineffective British Prime Minister partly responsible for Adolf Hitler’s rise to power.

“There is unrest in all major cities across Europe, across Asia, across the entire world. And the reason why that is happening is because America is devoid of committed, resilient, strong leadership,” he added.

“Just think about 90 miles from where we are sitting tonight. There’s an island, a state sponsor of terrorism. It currently holds one of our own American sons hostage, and even the Coddler-In-Chief feels it necessary to appease and provide concessions to the regime of the Castros.”

“Let us not forget Castro’s ‘BFF,’” the congressman said to laughter, “Hugo Chavez, who builds alliances across the ocean with Iranian despots who have one single goal: To destabilize democracies throughout Latin America. And we also know there are countless amounts of missiles sites being placed in Venezuela with the support of Iran — missile sites that threaten exactly where we’re sitting here today!”

“And what do we see from our president? Well, he’s probably right now just recovering from his latest round of golf,” Rep. West added.

      Does Allen West ever do anything other than talk. And talk nonsense. No question as to why he was selected by the party as one of the attack dogs. And its not because of his communication ability or ideas. And clearly not for his work ethic. He is right up there with M. Bachmann as members of Congress who take the money and do nothing.

      Obama said this prior to his being elected…don’t think many were listening, “The National Anthem should be ‘swapped’ for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing’. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. While I agree with your final sentence/assessment of our “I don’t like this country-in-chief”, I do want to point out that the first paragraph you‘re quoting does not check out and looks like someone’s satire not a real Obama quote. I think we, the conservatives, are doing our cause a huge disservice by not sticking to the facts and using urban legends without vetting. I think there is enough said and done by this man that we can use for discussions and examples.

      Yes, The Colonel is absolutely right. Where is Obama and why isn’t he telling Venezuela that we will bomb the hell out of that missile site? My guess is he doesn’t want to enforce the Monroe Doctrine either. Romney better start talking about how Obama has made this country weaker along with the economic message of the campaign.       We are going to have to take bold steps in solving our problems. We must first uphold our laws, have strict penalties for rape, murder and robbery. We must secure our borders and deport the lawless, we must stop payments to said groups who break the laws, we must get everyone off welfare and get them to work. We must encourage work as a positive and healthy thing, we must reduce our consumption of unhealthy foods and vices, we must end drug use in America (strict penalties), We must untangle ourselves from foreign treaties, we must stop funding foreign nations through aid, we must rebuild our own infastructure, we must allow people to live and work where they want and stop forcing a multiculture upon people who do not want it, we must reduce our footprint abroad and close many bases…esp Japan, Germany, SKorea. They must stand on their own, these are a few bold actions we must take instead of will nilly go nowhere words.

      I like Alan West. I think he’s a true patriot. He has a very thin political resume, however. Only 2 years in the House. Even President Obama, who I think most would agree is too inexperienced, had more political experience than that!

      Let Rep. West cut his teeth for a couple of more terms in the House and then if things go well we can get giddy about him. On another note, VP is a do-nothing position. Rep. West is much more valuable as a member of Congress.

      I see what you are trying to say…… Our Government is built on our Politicians working together. Ronald Regan worked with a Democrat controlled Senate and House. Not every Republican needs to vote AGAINST the the President because he is a Democrat; that would be obstructionist….. Some policies are good (few and far between) some are bad (most of the time)

      Having said that…. Congressman West has NOT voted with everthing that President Obama has sent across to the Congress!!!       West is right, obama couldn’t organize a girl scout cookie drive. His & Hilary brainchild of the arab spring has left the middle east in a very unstable position. the muz-slime brother hood now in control of Egypt will have an effect on our Navy’s use of the Suez Canal when needed to save time and fuel while operating & navigating those oceans.

      Libya & Syria are now poderkegs waiting to ignite, and now the russians see an opportunity with a weak jag-off of a president in barry to step in and gain a foothold there. Its just a matter of time before china deploys troops in defense of Iran or maybe to meddle in the situation in Syria. Barry & Hilary are what I call a f u *K-story. We are being laughed at by the entire world due to our g a y boy usurping our White House..
