CODEPINK Activists Interrupt Israeli PM Speech: Occupying Lands is IndefensibleLast night at the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that a return to Israel’s 1967 borders would be “indefensible.” But he wasn’t the only one using that word. Activists from the far-left group CODEPINK decided to crash the speech and shout slogans using the same word.

The group isn’t shy to claim responsibility either. A press release on the site Moveoveraipac.org — which is admittedly the work of CODEPINK — boasts about the disruptive protest:

The activists are from the Move Over AIPAC coalition led by CODEPINK: Women for Peace.

The protesters, 5 in all, rose one by one, unfurled banners, and chanted slogans. In response to Netanyahu’s claim that returning to the 1967 borders would be “indefensible,” activists called out that various aspects of Israel’s policy are indefensible. They were escorted out by security, but not before they made a highly visible protest against the theft of Palestinian land, the siege of Gaza, denial of the rights of Palestinian refugees, silencing dissent, and destruction of homes and schools.

The group was sure to capture their actions on video:

CODEPINK, by the way, is the same group that was such a fan of democracy in Egypt.

And according to the website, we can probably expect to see more protest videos. The group will be taking to the halls of Congress today during the prime ministers speech at the Capitol.

    I have stood with Israel, will continue to stand for Israel, prayed and will continue to pray for Israel, became a Republican, in 1995, visted Israel in 1997 and Jordan (first bus let in-shut down for a long time), after I became a Christian. I‘m not saying democrat Christians can’t be Christians, but come on now…how can you not see what is going on with our country and Israel. When I hear the percentages of classifications of people who claim to be religious believes that voted for Obama it just twists my cortex.

    Spiritual, Obama does not exhibit the fruits of the Spirit, his religious leader is an anti-Semite and everything he is doing now is obviously for the rise up youth movement in the USA…He already facilitated the one over in the Arab world in the name of Democracy but look at the Muslim Brotherhood gang taking over…Sharia law is not democracy.

    Code pink STINKS.

    Then by comparison there are the so called, by their definition, a good atheist and the bad atheist that fill their God given void with the so called completed empirical scientific faith (empirical scientific-you know everything atheist vs gee we aren‘t agnostic but we don’t rule out the existence of God Atheist-new netnutz definitions embedded in today‘s youth by old hippie professors of the 60’s) in accepting the alternative belief. I think I’m pretty close on that one. Feel free to discuss in other threads. sheesh

    Israel should keep the spoils of war since they were the nation that was attacked by Arabs that were intent on exterminating Israel. Perhaps Russia should first give back the portion of Finland that Stalin took by force in 1939.

    This CODEPINK group should leave the USA. They might be happier in Venezuela, Cuba,the middle East, or North Korea.

    what do you think would happen if codepink was to protest in egyptian congress(if they had one that is) or would they even try.I think that most of these liberal protesters are not very brave and only go and protest where it is relativelly safe.       In context, his remarks make perfect sense. The attact was the most horrific incursion to our security of homeland since Dec 1941. And, few of us were of an age to understand that futility ~ when the bully knocks you on your a$$, you finally comprehend that he’s not bluffing.

      When people have no faith or a mans of adopting faith, they have to become parts of movements such as these. Otherwise, they would live a purposeless life. I noticed this about all of these people, whether environmentalist or global warming people or whomever, because they have lack faith, they must adopt or join a group such as “Code Pink” to validate their existence. THis is why they are so radical. In all these cases, these people who are dedicated members, of such groups, have convinced themselves they are doing the society a great service and really do check off the box next to the category “ service to others” when they go over the monthly list of worthiness of existence. They fail to see they are not serving anybody but themselves. They are servicing the ego, of which, they have adopted as a their persona. Their projection of self to the world is a facade, a face by design if you will. These are the folks who partake from the tree of knowledge, who believe they can be “like” God, know good from bad.
      I could go on and on about the selfish & self centered disease of the progressive intellect. THese people are impossible and illogical. While they are always focused on the ends justifying the means of their particular actions, they fail to see the big picture, otherwise they would realize just how useless and pointless their small minded actions are.       I know how much Israel is hated. We had to live in Kuwait for two years and let me tell you how ridiculously hateful Muslims are towards Israel. My husband decided to buy Victoria Secret lingerie for me for Christmas one year. This is not illegal nor taboo for Kuwait as they have many of such shops within the country (Just not a Victoria Secret brand). So this was ordered online. I was shocked to open the package when it arrived as every garment was cut up into pieces. At first we couldn’t understand how or why this happened. But, after looking at the care labels of each garment we noticed that they said “Made in Israel.” We concluded that the box had gone through customs and that upon inspection someone within the customs office must have cut up the garments. We also talked to one of our Kuwaiti friends and they said that they did not find it surprising and that we were most likely correct in our assumption. I think it was at this moment that I really recognized what we were dealing with and the absolute hate these people have for the Israeli state.

Without faith, you end up in a faithless club of like-minded zombies working for a lower cause. You are so right on, IT IS REALLY WORTH THINKING ABOUT. Code Pink reminds me of the N.O.W. and their stand FOR ABORTION, or killing of human infants. The killing of a beating heart is MURDER. So, is the killing of the Jewish people. It is not only anti-God, it is pro-evil. Israel BELONGS TO GOD and they are the apple of His eye. I wouldn’t mess with God or you are inviting His wrath to come upon you. They are ignorant and need to belong to something. Too bad it’s on the wrong side of God. YES, God loves the Palestinians, but God made a covenant with Abraham and He will never break it. ISRAEL BELONGS TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE. I stand with Israel to my last dying breath.

Israel IS the promised land that God told Moses and Abraham about. HE PROMISED IT TO THEM and now they have it. I suggest the world leave Israel alone.
