College Students Sign Petition to ‘Ban’ Rush, Beck From Radio — But Love Free Speech

Oliver Darcy is doing his part to expose liberal ideas and hypocrisy on college campuses. Last month he produced two videos showing students willing to redistribute wealth but not grades and also refusing to pay their share of the national debt. Now he (along with his colleagues Michael Fincher and Maurice Lewis) is back, and this time he’s showing how college students who say they support free speech are willing to sign a petition to “ban” Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and other conservatives from the airwaves.
In the video, the students are not only willing to sign the petition, but some even offer their thoughts on Beck and those like him.
“That guy’s a douchebag,” one guy says of Beck. “He’s an a**.”
“I hate them bastards,” another man says, even after telling the petition author that in America Beck and others should have a right to say what they want. He signs the petition anyway.

Today, many want to limit the speech of those they disagree with, primarily conservative republicans. In 1949, the Fairness Doctrine was introduced under the FCC. Under Reagan, in 1987, the FCC ended the doctrine. While Democrat-controlled congresses have tried to make it law again, Republicans and those who support free speech oppose their efforts to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. To begin the limitation of political speech and dissent would lead us to a downward spiral of freedoms. As the last bastion of freedom in the world, we must fight to retain our most important right, and failure is not an option.

I hate to inform you, even the south has been infilitrated by this kind of situation. If the petition has not circulated, the ideals have. I’ve been on the phone with a guy who has grandchildren in Western Kentucky – railing about a history teacher there who is radically left and persecuting (by grades) those who do not see things his way – which is Radial Left. Then again, at Tennessee Tech – my nephew was just destroyed over a paper regarding the VietNam war, where he defended the veterans thereof against a professor who called the memorial “The Wall of Shame”.
Its ironic that all this discussion was going on in my personal life last night – then this story pops up today. Its more appropriately tragic. Its indicative of the end of our nation. We may have done our best to instill good moral value and an understanding of national honor in our kids – they are being washed out and destroyed for standing on those principles.
Its happening right here, in the South. Right Now.

I was burned on a paper, non-political non partisan, but was informed that BO is one of the foremost Constitutional experts in the country and I was flawed in any other assumtion.

Best move we ever made. Home schooled and private school. It is hard getting the funds but I can see a HUGE difference in the children (and mine) that attend this school. They actually fail them if they don’t do good and hold them accountable. Teach TRUE history along with God’s moral values. Being honest, polite, etc. Believe me it is worth it! Also, my daughter wanted to go to Rutgers art school and was accepted. I went on their site and told my daughter there ain’t NO way I am giving them my money. I gave her a list of schools that WE would pay for… no sense in giving money to Marxists who hate us.

That means taking an interest in their books and what is being taught, what bottom agenda their teachers are trying to place on them, or get them off their cell phones, I-pads, I-phones, X-Boxes, etc. Technology is great only when it is used for the purpose of making us aware of what is really happening in this changing world. Wake up Parents before they get to college but we lose control except to pay for bringing up walking talkiing zombies.

It seems that when he was in class, two girls had a fist fight just outside the door of the class that spilled into his class and disrupted everything in the middle of a test. The police had to be called and I think at least one of the girls was arrested, if not both.
Almost all of the class was fit to be tied because they had to take a new test all over again, they were questioned by the police, they got out late and they had to endure these foul mouth witches screaming at them and everyone else for almost half an hour. Our son couldn’t get over how immature and plain stupid these people were.
He feels that most of the students on high school campuses are absolute dorks and have no idea of what they are talking about. They may be passionate about an issue, but they are very light on logic and don’t want to be bothered with facts. He saw it again and again and was heartily glad when he got his Associates finished up.

Posted on May 20, 2011 at 11:24pmit disgusts me how so many will blindly accept statements from whatever side there on without really looking at what is being presented…i dont care who says it but if i see a recording or verified writing of what some has said ..i m more prone to believe what i m seeing ….soros has written and stated many times how america is the next country he would like to destroy like he did in 4 other countries before…not for social justce , but control of their economic systems…aftr seeing this one can make a judgement;; do i support george or do i disagree or not want him doing that..i disagree..beck just happens to be the one to show it….beck says nothing without strong evidence, those he exposes get all mad and try to wriggle out of it by name calling, political correctness or bold face lies that their sheeple will believe without checking the facts.the media propagates this too in the same manner ..unable to disprove beck but absolutely no evdence to support their views…and no denials from the exposed…we all wish beck was wrong…glenn wishes he was wrong.. but to ignore facts is worse than engagement with or exposure of some really bad stuff that needs to be stopped

We have a lot of collage interns go thru the plant and to many of them have little knowledge of world or even US history, general science, even the classical humanities. They can recite what they are told but don’t have any context. I’ve seen some of them contradict themselves on points of fact (not opinion). And be shocked when I point it out because they never though about any of it. Luckily there are some bright and talented people,but what they tell me about collage today is disheartening.

I have lived overseas and watch people want free healthcare but cheat the crap out of their gov’t on taxes. All socialist countries want help but don’t support their tax system. France is 40/50 % tax but free healthcare that halfway sucks. I speak from having family there and lived and visit frequently, so you stupid college pinheads wake up and get off your iphone,ipod, and facebook.

Mostly because they are uneducated and misinformed about our nations history/politcal structure and are unaware of the difference between freedom and openmindedness. They are not lost causes….
Most importantly, my opinion is that most of you old folks are responsible for this behavior. Disagree? Then you better not have kids. (Im sure all YOUR kids are patroits.. right?) These students were raised (or ignored) by their PARENTS! They are a product of the American lifesyle/attitude/policies which have been accepted by their parents generation…
Schools deserve some blame… but parents… where have you been, and why have you tolerated the schools behavior? My short life and variety of liberal friends leads me to believe their political beliefs comes from childhood experiance which comes back to parenting…
Anyone who disagrees is in denial. Blaming 20 something year old students for not knowing things they were never taught?? Blaming them because they feel they dont need to pay for national debt which was originated by their parents/grandparets votes?
My entire adult life America has been in this recession. We are products of the society we didnt create and you all are complaining about it… which is exactly what our parents generation excelled at, and reacted to by creating failed policies which made America = BROKE

When I was going to OSU back in the early 1990′s many members of the “democratic socialist” group gathered together stacks of the campus newspaper and burned them in dumpsters. They claimed that one of the articles about to be run was somehow dangerously right wing so they went straight to the source and destroyed the message (the paper is/was The Lantern, btw).
Typical fascists. The Left really does inform us of their evil every time they do something.
