Legendary comedian Jackie Mason isn’t fond of President Barack Obama. During the 2008 campaign, Mason called then-candidate Obama “a mindless man.” It seems even three years later, the comic isn‘t ready to shower the world’s most powerful leader with praise.

On Monday, Mason slammed the White House’s Hanukkah celebration, dismissing it as a fraudulent photo opportunity and essentially claiming that the president isn’t genuinely interested in the Jewish community. The event, which was held at the White House on December 8, included 550 guests. Below, watch video of Obama speaking during the celebration:

In an interview with Aaron Klein of New York City’s WABC Radio, Mason gave his less-than-pleasant assessment of the commemorative religious event (listen to it here).

“I don‘t even think he knew that he was talking about something that’s Jewish. It could have been Muslim, it could have been all together a religion he never even heard of,” he said. “He doesn’t know, he doesn’t care. He’s strictly in there to take a picture, and the picture could have been about anything.”

But he wasn’t done there.

“A bunch of advisors, most of whom are Jewish anyways — because he has more Jews in his cabinet than Netanyahu. He’s jammed up with Jews all around him — and they told him, if you wanna get them back, Hanukkah is a good idea,” Mason said. ”You don’t have to go any place. We‘ll put down the tchotchke and you’ll see a candle, you’ll light it from this side, and that’s enough information for him to accumulate without a teleprompter. So he did it in 10 minutes.”

The Blaze has covered the president’s efforts to attract Jewish support before. That being said, there’s no evidence that this Hanukkah party was hosted and created as a ploy to attract the Jewish vote in 2012. Either way, Mason’s words were certainly harsh.

The comic isn’t unfamiliar with controversy, though. As the Huffington Post notes, he purportedly used the Yiddish word “schvartze” in reference to Obama (a word some apparently believe is an outdated racial reference), he has called Islam a “murderous religion” and, as noted, he has slammed the president’s intellect in the past.

    Gosh, I thought Jackie Mason was a comedian! Rather, I find out that he is an informed and concerned, excellent judge of character, who can speak on the most serious note that affects our country, our future and our World today! Wow! Jackie Mason for President! (I’m serious–he would do a better job for us than the present Chameleon in Chief!)

      Its his maturity, we lost the value of maturity & wisdom, replacing it with a piece of paper from an overpriced babysitter. They wont need reeducation camps, they already have them in our universities. Hell it starts in our public schools, pumping our kids so full of lies it takes us more time to straighten them out than it would to educate them. I say this as a former school teacher. Can you just see the monsters this system is creating? Mao loving, Che touting, Stalin preaching, slaves of their own making.

      “Schwartze” is the yiddish for the German “shwarze,” i.e., “black.” Obama has obviously identified himself as a black man although in reality he is only a mulatto. It is as politically correct as anything else these days. Mr. Mason is only saying what any intelligent Jew would be saying about Obama. I don’t consider the Jews orbiting Obama as all that intelligent or Jewish.

      I believe that we casually over look one very important in the article at our own peril!

      So a fellow Jew openly admits what I’ve been trying to point out for years… I’m called an anti-Semite for pointing it out yet this man plainly tells you that Obama and he could have said Bill Clinton (basically the same administrations) have more Jews in their administration than Netanyahu has in his???

      So I wonder if people would be concerned if these were Asians? Indians? Arabs? Africans? Or for that matter to the left Christians or the entirely wicked evil and dreaded white male?

      Well, I hope that comment is not lost upon anyone?

      Finally one last thing. Would the Media make a big deal of this if it were any group other than Jews surrounding Obama? Sure they would but I’m sure 99% of America doesn’t understand this.

      IF the Prez had “all those Jews” around him, you’d think ONE could have advised him on how to light a Menorah. SOMEONE could have instructed him how to use one candle to light the others…. They may be Jewish by blood, but something seems to have gotten lost over the generations.

He broke with rev.Wright but never broke with the theology. Which is a mix of Che Guevara’s Revolutionary Liberation and Black Muslimism as said by the creator of BLT Dr. James Cone.

      I‘m afraid you’ve got that wrong MLK was a pure Christian as a Southern Baptist. Dr.James Cone claims he was influenced by MLK but how can that be if his writings fly in the face of Christianity? Most Christian that know the difference between the word of God and the false prophets who deliver the message of collective salvation or Christ as a failure as Dr.Cone’s writings does.

      As a Jew who participates in a great deal of interfaith work, has studied black liberation theology and befriended many people who believe in it, belonged to a major synagogue (not a small one) that would do interfaith conferences with a church that subscribed to these beliefs… I have to say that you don’t have any CLUE what you are talking about.

      Watching a few youtube clips and reading a couple blogs doesn’t make you an expert on the subject. There’s no heavier antisemitism coming from black liberation theology than there is from most other religious systems towards Jews.

      Oh, and as far as Mr. Mason, the man is a comedy legend no doubt…but these are his pitiful attempts to stay relevant in a world that is becoming increasingly foreign to him. I saw him 3 or 4 years back doing stand up and he was doing the same routine he had been for the last 30 years. Cracking jokes about how every ethnic group except white people talks funny or smells weird or doesn’t work hard enough. The man’s a dinosaur desperate to still have some relevance.

      Dr. James Cone is not the end-all be-all of black liberation theology. Black liberation theology, like any denomination of any religion has a variety of takes/viewpoints/practitioners that is hardly uniform.

      I’d also appreciate it if you point out exactly what part of that interview you found to be “racist hate mongering” since I watched the whole thing and heard no such thing.

    This President sat in a pew for over 20 years listening to a racist pastor spew anti-Simetic verbiage at his church congregation. Obama has no history whatsoever of being sympathetic to the Jewish people and, in fact, he has more of a history of making life tougher for them. But somehow, we’re not supposed to believe that this latest event was a photo-op?

    Thank God there are people like Jackie Mason that have the courage and guts to speak the truth!!!

    what I DON’T understand is the fact that ALL the candles on the menorah were lit at once (they’re to be lit one each day), and the middle candle, representing the Messiah, was LOWER than all the others…this should be considered blasphemy to all Jews and Christians!!!…GRIEF what does it take for people to wake up and see what is happening here?!!!

      Yes, first the Shamash (the middle one which is the “servant candle” is lit. Then for each day of Chanukah the candles are lit one at a time on each of the eight days on the Hannukiah. Just in case you are not aware, the Jewish Menorah is a seven branched candlestick and the Hannukiah is a 9 branched candlestick. Both of them have the center candle as the servant candle (which by the way is actually higher than the others). This is because even though a servant is considered lower than everything else, it represents Yeshua or Jesus who is higher than mankind. On the first day of Hannukiah the first candle is lit on the right. The second day the two on the right is lit, on the third day the three candles on the right is lit, etc etc etc.

    He certainly has Obama’s number! The other half of the issue is that he uses Christmas as a photo-op as well. Obama is not a supporter of the Jewish community or the Christian community. As my mother used to say, “Actions speak louder than words.” What do Obama’s actions truly display? Everything points to his hidden Muslim agenda. I can‘t believe half this country’s population still support him and his Democratic traitors-of-America.

    I grew up knowing that the people who are JEWS were the smartest, the hardest working, the kindest people. That was in West Texas. I guess the wonderful Jewish people we knew there were the same ones that live in Israel. I don’t know what happened to the ones on the east coast. Lost their way, perhaps.
