‘Comical’: See How Bill Maher Defends Himself Against Allen West’s Charge of Racism

Bill Maher wrote a column recently where he said the Republican Party is like “Rise of the Party of the Apes” before referencing a number of politicians, including Rep. Allen West of Florida.
He wrote:
But this is why you never see us booking George Will and Peggy Noonan on my show (besides the fact that they wouldn’t do it): Because the same old Washington pundits haven’t said anything interesting since disco. Also because the idea that the blame for our government’s dysfunction is equally shared by the parties just is a giant, steaming mound of horsesh*t and anyone who has paid attention to politics over the last 20 years knows it. Or as I like to call it, “The Rise of the Party of the Apes.”
Several paragraphs later, he added:
Or take Allen West. Seriously, take him to the padded cell and give him 20 CCs of the high test. Ornstein and Mann start off their Post op-ed by noting that recently Rep. Allen West said that there are “78 to 81” Democrats in Congress who are members of the Communist Party. And not one Republican said, “Allen, come on. You’re making us look dumb.” Not one of the Republican candidates for president said anything. Because in today’s Republican Party, that’s not even edgy anymore. They probably saw him later on and were like, “Word, Allen. Word.” Because that’s how they think black people talk. [All emphasis added]
When Allen West noted the slur in a fundraising message, Maher took to his HBO show to say how “unfair” it is that West is turning a profit off his insult.
“And by the way it’s so comical, not just this, but the idea that the Republican Party of all people, the number one thing on their agenda is rooting out racism wherever it is…” Maher said to whoops of laughter.
From there, Amy Goodman of “Democracy Now!” said that her main racial concern in Florida has more to do with voter ID laws and the “purging” of “people of color” from the voter rolls.
“What I think is hilarious is clearly it’s about…they’re just not evolved, and they’re acting like animals and apes, and of course you made an evolution reference and expected them to get it…” Lizz Winstead said sarcastically.

Democrats have been oppressive and intent on holding down and micro managing other people’s lives from DAY #1 that applies heavily to minorities. Under Obamacare, it applies to all of us.

It was Progressive ideology that killed 20 million people in concentration camps in Europe during the late 30‘s early 40’s, 12 million were killed on personal animus by one person on the advice of many others.
National Socialism was then led to power by Progressive ideology to take from the rich (jew) and give to the poor “Society”. It shows that the current ideology has not “evolved” like they would think you to believe. This President is stuck along with his Administration in the 60′s with their ideology of being the original terrorist. He stormed Bank Board Rooms to force mortgages on them that others could not pay for, they called it “RED LINING” because the poor could not afford to move into the suburbs and own their own housing. So they created laws and then extorted banks to follow the “LAW”. It was the Clinton, Soros, Alinski connection that created the housing mess and Obama that was a soldier in Chicago that worked hard for its implementation.
Now we need to Fundamentally Reset our Country to what it was originally intended to be, a light on the hill so others could see their futures.

So, it’s been shown over and over again to be a mole hill (not a mountain.) Dead voters are almost invariably clerical errors. People don’t vote as someone else b/c it’s not effective or efficient (and the fine is $10,000.)

Bill Maher got a taste of his own medicine and he didn’t like it very much. What did he do after that? He called republicans racist!
Bill Maher: Can you believe that these republicans are calling me a racist, when all I did was write an article that had a reference to the movie Planet Of the Apes and I mentioned Alan West later in the same article. The one thing that is sure about politicians, regardless of their history, is that they ALL have skeletons just like everyone ele. I spent 16 years in the U.S. Army and never heard of GEN West so I am guessing he was either extremely low keyed, non-combat arms or he was extreme combat arms, which requires low profile. I will have to do some research on the man before supporting or opposing him.
Report Post »To your 1st comment about mandatory military service requirement for eligibilty to become POTUS, I have always believed in that very thing! How can someone intelligently make decisions about the defense of this country without experience? When I say military experience I mean a minimum of 4 years active duty, not hiding out in a reserve unit. I am not bad-mouthing the Reserves or National Guard, both are fine organizations; however, unless the country is at war a reservist spends a total of approximately 10 months to 1 year in uniform out of 4 years, if he/she attends every drill. The additional requirement for combat arms should also be there to ensure the POTUS fully understands what life is like for grunts during war.

Don’t we hate it when the left plays the race card needlessly? Isn’t that a problem that dilutes the actual problem of racism? Shouldn’t we as individual thinkers, not as ‘hive minded drones’ condemn this sort of silly petty nonsense?
Allen West was wrong to make the connection, and he should apologize. Just because the left wouldn’t do it, doesn’t make it ok. Integrity is what we claim separates us from the left leaning ideologues. Time to prove it..
