Communists Cry ‘Yes We Can’ in Spanish at Anti-Capitalism Rally

The video is telling.

At a recent communist rally in New York City, the Workers World Party called for the end of capitalism and the freeing of terrorists, murderers, and Cuban spies. As if that wasn’t incredible enough, the speaker ended her rant with “si se puede” — “yes we can” in Spanish. Not only was that the mantra of the Obama campaign, but it was also the slogan of communist revolutionary Cesar Chavez.

    We must be ready to sacrifice our comfort and safety to stop these people. Otherwise we will fall. They are NOT playing! They dream of destroying us, our families, our possessions, and our civilization! And they WILL try very soon.

    We have to STOP enabling people who HATE US!

    It’s interesting that they are calling for the terrorists and criminals to be released but in a Communist state, anyone deemed a political prisoner is thrown into prison, including people in their own party that don’t agree with them. Dont you love hypocrites?

    If this is the best they can do I say bring it on! There was less than 100 people their and most would turn and run at a true fight for freedom. They may spew their hatred in a closed room of a gymnasium somewhere but when these people even think about getting ugly they will be exposed to a whole new definition of it.

    To be fair to fact, the “si se puede” chant far predates Obama and Chavez. It was originally conceived and used by the hispanic worker movements in the 1960′s/1970′s (who were, ironically, against illegal immigration). Obama, as it happens, actually stole the chant from THEM, not the other way around.

    Why didn‘t someone point this out before the ’08 election? I’ve never been completely on the “Obama’s a communist” bandwagon… but this seems to be a smoking gun.

      I believe that aliobama used the slogan first and then chavez picked it up, I could be wrong but, I seem to remember when chavez was running for his second term it was after aliobama was already in office and chavez just picked it up, course I don’t know why,” ?? “, chavez even bothered, do you think he really would’ve lost.. cheaters cheat and that’s how harry reid got back in.. they cheat.

    A novel idea, instead of going through the long arduous fight to change our country, all of these folks could just move to Cuba, Venezuela, China, or North Korea where the system of their dreams is already in place. No more struggle, no more “organizing”, they can just morph into the society and do the work that they so want to do. Of course we know that showing up to put in 8 or 12 hours at the factory like a drone is the furthest thing from what they really want.

    As a lifetime democrat until 2008, I am appalled that the communist party has co-opted the party of JFK. He would NOT be a democrat today. I was a John Kennedy democrat… not a communist. Today I’m a conservative and tea partier.

      Follow up question: If America is so bad and evil, why don’t you just take your passport (if you have one), move to one of your Shangri-La’s (Cuba, Venezuela, China), go to the embassy, and renounce your citizenship! Harking back to that slogan from the 60′s, “America, Love it or Leave it!”

      I love you man but I gotta tell you… this is bogus. I was born and raised in Mexico City, I am now an American citizen, and the slogan “si se puede”, literally translating “it can be done” is something I am almost 100% certain Mexicans coined. It’s non political too. You most commonly hear it at anything from kids to professional sports events.

      I’d drop the story. You guys are 90% accurate on what you say, but I’d double check on this one…

      All these folks leave thier little “rally”, and immediately start using thier iPhones, hop in thier cars to drive to a nice resturaunt, go watch a movie at the theater, run to the grocery store and buy coffee for the morning, go home and surf the internet, maybe watch some TV or listen to music, take thier medication if needed, turn up the furnace a bit so thier house doesn’t get too chilly, and curl up in bed on a nice mattress in a safe secure place for the night.

      If they had any clue of what they were trying to accomplish, they would realize all of what they now know of daily life would go away in an instant if they succeeded. Complete morons.
