Company Responds to Beyonce‘s Banned ’Too-Sexy’ Perfume Commercial

R&B singer Beyonce Knowles launched her first ever perfume this year called “Heat.” This week, it lived up to its name when a commercial for the fragrance was banned from British daytime television because it was too sexual. The company is now defending the racy the commercial, which features the singer in a low-cut, hot-red satin minidress and showing a lot of skin.
MTV details the company’s response:
In a statement from perfume maker Coty that was posted on AceShowbiz.com, the company notes that it doesn‘t think there’s anything too explicit about the TV spot, maintaining that it is “intended to reflect the singer Beyoncé‘s personal ’sexy chic’ style.” And while Beyoncé’s cleavage is exposed at certain parts of the commercial, Coty added that it’s not “overtly graphic or explicitly sexual and at no point was Beyoncé naked.”
The company continued, “It was aimed at a vast selection of music programs to target a young adult audience. It would therefore be consistent with the expectations of viewers of those sorts of programs.”
“We considered that Beyoncé‘s body movements and the camera’s prolonged focus on shots of her dress slipping away to partially expose her breasts created a sexually provocative ad that was unsuitable to be seen by young children,” U.K.’s Advertising Standards Authority said.
The ad now cannot air before 7:30 p.m.

1) The stuffy Brits censored something?
2) Does it cross the line?
3) Freedom of expression, censorship?
4) Look at all the responses on this link vs. say the store of a young mother being stoned to death for expressing her religious belief while her two daughter weep to a journalist … or the uncovering of 2000 fetuses?
5) And, is it typical that most Americans/people are MORE worried about seeing beautiful Beyonce promote a product in stunning style or the British engagement than being mad and insisting and holding accountable those that have been empowered to make the changes necessary to stop illegal immigration, earmarks, and the economy without shady deals or addlepated partisanism?
Kudos to The Blaze, I love it!
Let us not forget that ignorance and apathy are the real enemy.

They get paid for drawing sponsors. They do that by generating ad revenue, the majority of which goes to the highest rated shows. They get those ratings from sex and violence. I didn‘t really expect Beck’s newsite to be different, but I think it’s funny to see the hypocrisy be so blatantly out there.

There really is a simple solution to the issue (or divide you refer to) in the United States of America. 1) We The People will choose to honor our current constitution in the words of our founders.
2) All the leftist, communist, and Marxist (and combination thereof) who agree with making a mockery of our current US Constitution could illegally immigrate to Mexico and take over that country rather than destroy this one. Then you would be free to form the “perfect” (because this one is so treacherous) and most “intellectual” society (since we are so stupid and out of touch with reality) complete with a new, “more modern” constitution; providing anyone who wants to come in including terrorists to your new and improved country free from racism, homophobia, and oh my gosh definitely CAPITALISM!!! Obviously you would require anyone making more than $250K pay all the taxes so you could redistribute the wealth because you are the compassionate people who would then divide the taxes collected equally to all the people – providing everyone (and I do mean everyone) who wanted to come with free education, health care, food, housing, cable tv, cars, etc. and live like one big happy family! Once you are successful, all us losers left in the US will surely want to join you as you will have proved your superiority! I would be happy to you pack!

Um…as a woman, a former advertising executive, and a mom of 3 boys, I’ll say this commercial is way over the top. Her entire breast is right there, so what we don’t see her nip? Give me a break. At least the Brits can make one decent decision. This ad is irresponsible if aired on any network but Spike.
Ads like this are why we don’t have TV in our home anymore.
