Concussion! Lady Gaga Struck by Pole During New Zealand Show

AUCKLAND, New Zealand (AP) — Lady Gaga has been struck on the head by a pole while performing a concert in New Zealand.

The singer was hit Sunday during the third of three shows in Auckland.

Clips posted online show a backup performer accidentally striking Gaga with the set prop while removing it from the central stage. Gaga, holding a mock machine gun, staggers and rubs her head before briefly leaving the stage. She continued the show, part of a world tour.

Lady Gaga Struck by Pole During New Zealand Show

Gaga’s makeup artist Tara Savelo wrote Monday on Twitter: “Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay … cant believe she finished the show.”

Gaga’s New Zealand publicist Bridget de Launay said Monday she was seeking comment from tour organizers, adding the Auckland shows were sellouts and a “huge success.”

Lip synching. What a rook. Nothing that used to be sung live is sung live anymore. Oh sure “Live in Concert”. I guess these days that means that performers will “be alive”. So what? It’s nice the could attend the playing of their record.

The liberal left needs to outlaw the sale of poles now!!!

This horrible crime never would have happened if there would just be more regulation on pole sales. I bet this pole was sold at a pole-show where you don’t even need to have a background check before buying a pole!!!

We should at least ban assault-poles. Look at the carnage just one man can cause with such a weapon!!!

      To her credit..

Most ALL acts that involve dancing (while the artist is “singing”) are done via lip-syncing…

If not all you would hear is a artist who is out of breath TRYING to sing..

It doesn’t work.. You have to lip-sync if your dancing… I spent 10 years in the concert touring business, and just about ALL female acts do this… (all that dance do….)

I’ve been to a Lady Gaga concert, and she does sing, but her vocals are in the music in many places. They do not replace her singing, but rather are in addition to her singing.

It isn‘t because they’re trying to trick you, it is just the way the show is done. You can tell when it is her singing because she is out of breath from dancing. Go ahead and try to dance vigorously and sing at the same time, it really isn’t easy.

It’s sad that you have such a simple view of God. A truly loving God allows us to make our decisions out of free will. The killing and suffering is due to actions made by people. I‘m not saying that some people aren’t unfairly in bad situations, but life isn’t fair. No I‘m sure God didn’t focus on hitting her in the head, but you realize that God could be doing more than one thing at a time, right? He IS taking care of those people, but do you just want Him to eradicate all suffering? Then, how the heck would we know what happiness or joy was? There is no pleasure without pain. There is no joy without suffering.

I admire her for keeping going, and I don‘t think it’s fake.

Here is Vanessa Mae tripping and sliding on her backside while playing the violin and not missing a beat. (Yes, I am a BIG fan of Vanessa’s.) Slide is at 2:00, but watch the whole thing and play it loud.

I realise why Gaga is not popular, but credit where credit is due.
