I’m still waiting for a leader who has a concrete plan on how you shrink the size of government, and pay off the debt and lower everyone’s taxes.

It can be done but no one is willing to take the necessary steps.

    “Mice With Human Brains

Weissman has already created mice with brains that are about one percent human.

Later this year he may conduct another experiment where the mice have 100 percent human brains. This would be done, he said, by injecting human neurons into the brains of embryonic mice.

Before being born, the mice would be killed and dissected to see if the architecture of a human brain had formed. If it did, he’d look for traces of human cognitive behavior.

Weissman said he’s not a mad scientist trying to create a human in an animal body. He hopes the experiment leads to a better understanding of how the brain works, which would be useful in treating diseases like Alzheimer‘s or Parkinson’s disease.

The test has not yet begun. Weissman is waiting to read the National Academy’s report, due out in March.”"

O’Donnell is more informed about science than it seems most people are.

    Jon Stewart is a psychic:

“The last thing that I would suggest is that her witchcraft or masturbation stance should be what we should be thinking about or focusing on, and I think that’s an enormous mistake that the Democrats will make. We like to sit around the office and we have a little game called ‘How will the Democrats blow it?‘ And that’s the way they’ll do it. They’ll think somehow that that will resonate with voters, that 20 years ago Christine O‘Donnell on MTV said ’Masturbation is a sin.‘ And they’ll play it, and they’ll ridicule it, and the voters will be like, ‘Yeah, I don’t have a job.‘ That’s how they’ll blow it.”

She is closer to a normal person than most politicians, especially liberal Democrats and that scare the pee water out of them. They don’t want to face a normal person on the Senate floor where some common sense might prevail. Sure, she hasn’t run a perfect campaign nor lived a perfect life, has anyone? Not for some 2,000 years! Coons is an arch-typical career politician Democrat hack that just wants to continue to sponge off of you and me. You know…the reason we’re in this mess. The wishy washy so-called centrists, who don’t stand on principle. What makes O’donnell an airhead? The fact that most people don‘t even know what’s in the Constitution(like seperation of Church and State)? Or is it that people who don‘t know think she’s an idiot, when she discusses the genetic engineering going on with animals? What makes her so dumb? Other people’s ignorance?

Lion, what makes her dumb is her total lack of critical thinking whatsoever. She‘d tell Nazis where she’s hiding Jews because lying is always, like, wrong you know? Even after the reporter named a clear situation where lying would be acceptable or even necessary. Stupid, stupid, stupid. She’s an idiot not fit for any kind of public office, and the polls are showing that.

Also, the “genetic engineering done with animals” thing: I’m getting tired of people trying to excuse her idiocy here. She believed that there are mice with fully functioning human brains. Read that last line again. It’s idiocy, it’s inexcusable in a would-be politician. It’s on the same level of “The Internet is a series of tubes” from a few years back.

Oh, I see. That’s okay, then. What sort of form do you think that protection would take? An invisibility cloak, perhaps? Maybe the star of invincibility that you could get on Mario games.

It is grossly offensive to the countless people from all over the world who necessarily lied to protect their Jewish friends, neighbours and colleagues during the Second World War for Ms. O’Donnell to get on her unbelievably high (and shakily constructed) horse and suggest that by telling those lies – which, in my opinion and those of any compassionate person, were overwhelmingly for the greater good – they had somehow disavowed God and, furthermore, that God would have found some way of stepping into the breach. It is callous, insensitive and downright heartless. Similarly, Ravenglenn, your defence of her is manifest cowardice.

Oh, I see. You guys have a moral compass that’s different than hers, so she obviously doesn’t have one.

As a Christian, she thinks lying is wrong in all circumstances. So? That’s a pretty universal Christian value. When asked if they would renounce Christ to save their families, Christians all over Rome were fed to animals and killed for their refusal to lie. No one died because the truth was told. People died because evil people are evil. Better to die pure to your conscience than to die despite having violated it.

The fault of the good and pure is that evil people will take advantage of them. And that’s always going to be the way it is, otherwise you wouldn’t be told to turn the other cheek, give to those that would steal from you, pray for your enemies, do good to those who curse you, or do not repay evil for evil, etc.

“Better to die pure to your conscience than to die despite having violated it.” Right – and when someone else’s life is in your hands, as it was in the hypothetical example put to Ms O’Donnell? Then what?

There are nearly 23,000 people listed as Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem and a good portion of them are Christian – are you suggesting they disobeyed this universal Christian value that ‘lying is wrong in all circumstances’? And that, as a consequence of that, any purported good they may have done is outweighed by this heinous crime? If that’s what you believe, then you are free to believe it. And I am free to label that point of view as crass, needlessly utterly disgusting. And please – comparing Christians in Rome to the Second World War is a hollow exercise and you know it. If civilisation cannot learn from its past mistakes, it is a pointless endeavour from top to bottom. Your view of good and evil, and indeed the notion of truth, is simplistic and pessimistic. Feel free to have it all to yourself.

      Posted on October 23, 2010 at 4:34pm

I‘d say it’s not about the “heinous crime” of lying so much as it’s about trusting God. We trust God in our life, and we trust God in our death. Our goal isn’t to maximize the life of everyone on earth, or even to save life. We’re here to take up our crosses and to follow Christ, and Christ would not have lied to save life (as is obvious in his death). Instead, he would have trusted God and embodied the character of God in his life, which is not to lie. But that‘s not to say that those who can’t decide the right path in a gray area are committing “heinous crimes.” I‘m not here to judge my master’s servants. I’m just here to say that there is an obvious “best path,” and that’s trusting God and embodying his principles. Lying is excluded from that because Satan is a liar and is the father of lies.

It’s a valid viewpoint, and it is indeed simplistic. Paul warned us against leaving the simplicity of the Gospel of Christ.

That site’s got some pretty strained evidence, to be polite. The “owls” are 1.) near-universal symbols of wisdom (among other things), not just pagan cults 2.) drawn from the lines you wish to draw on. There are several other paths that could create completely different pictures. The same goes for your White House inroad pagan symbols. I could draw smiley face in there. Roads back then often centered around the main building. Not compelling to me.

The main flaw is that your allegations fail to comprehend the often subjective meanings given to forms in art. An obelisk is a monument with many meanings, not just a satanic 666 cult. Same goes for classical poses. Study art in depth. It’s often symbolic on a more complex level than just “demonic, evil, illuminati.” It’s like the anti-Christmas Christians… just because a pagan culture used Christmas trees to worship pagan gods does not mean that a Christmas tree in my house is erected in honor of a pagan god.

The same goes with our father in heaven. Those who choose to have a relationship with God have one and their faith is rewarded. I have seen the lord work in my life through faith and I have felt his presence in many situations. We as American’s have not because we ask not, I’m sure the Chilean miners could give you a lesson in blind faith, as you call it, sir.

I believe that the lord sent Christ to give his life for our sins, you may believe something totally different. We will all stand before our maker when our time here is over. It’s not my place to judge you or anyone else. I pray for you though.

Nov2 the people will be the ones to decide; let each one vote in accordance to their values and their own individual ideals. Encourage people to check the facts for themselves, and go out and vote.

Nothing is too low for the DemoRATS to stoop to in their campaigning – the truly show how undeniably despicable they are out on the campaign trail. The literally accused O’Donnel of being a witch, that’s incredibly PATHETIC. You want a FACT – Harry Reid called Coons his “PET” – and you can bet Coons will support Obama’s leftist Socialist agenda.

The “Wannabe Tyrants” will publicize the irrelevant using their “preponderance of the propaganda” to avoid a discussion of the issues. Pay no attention to the smokescreen.

When your premise is false the only arguments that can be used are fear mongering, emotional arguments, sarcasm, attacking the messenger and misrepresentation of the facts (lying). Those who expect to reap huge profits from our misery caused by government control are experts at these tactics.

The only relevant issue is freedom or tyranny!!!!

Definitely not empty talking points; just direct truth. Marxism is not compatible with our Constitution. Would you argue that it is?
