Felix Thompson and Brandon Roots of Buffalo Picture House shot black-and-white footage of Hurricane Irene as it swept through New York. From an artistic standpoint, it’s quite something:

Posted on August 29, 2011 at 10:52pmYeah…. the piano was awesome!!!
“Today’s music” has lost it’s way. Most artists uses canned music and voice filters while singing hatred, foul language, and sexuality. Couple all that together with very little talent doesn’t make for good music!!! :-(

Posted on August 30, 2011 at 12:26amClosed my eyes and imagined water drops running down a sunlit tulip pedal. Kind of a breezy serene ditty that song is, like the menacing Irene.

Posted on August 30, 2011 at 9:14amTeaching appreciation of music is an oxymoron.
I liked the music. However, I could never teach or force anyone else to like it. Teaching music appreciation is like trying to convince someone they should be self sufficient (doesn’t mean storing false GMO food that will be good for 6 months)…. doesn’t work.

Posted on August 30, 2011 at 9:39amROBBYVG,
There is more to music appreciation than forcing students to listen to music they don’t want to hear. It is about learning all aspects of music including: reading, creating, understanding, and most importantly comprehending what is musical talent and what is takes to be a good musician. Ignorance of music leads to mediocre output just like any other field. Many “musicians” today can neither write nor read music. Shameful!

Posted on August 30, 2011 at 12:33pmthat was quite lame. not mush art to it, showing a bunch of random objects blowing in the wind seems pointless. i suppose if i were from ny and had never seen a hurricane it could be considered neat, but im from fl and see this weather every season, we get storms daily that are more intense than what irene.

I understand rat maze living confuses issues but giving direction to confusion please mayor help me.

Posted on August 29, 2011 at 5:35pmCan we all just take a moment and reflect on the power of this video. How so very profound and moving it was to watch. The emotion and poetic tempo that will remain forever embedded in our hearts. And the sense of mourning we have for those few minutes of our lives we will never get back.

Posted on August 29, 2011 at 5:22pmI think all the weird (unusual for such a weak storm) News coverage was to aid obama’s election future that flopped. He was noted as taking control… “Obama Takes Charge at Hurricane Command Center Hours Before Irene Downgraded to Tropical Storm…”
Here is the link.
http://www.breitbart.tv/obama-takes-charge-at-hurricane-command-center-hours-before-irene-downgraded-to-trop-storm/
He was also telling people be prepared for the worse…
http://www.breitbart.tv/obama-on-irene-prepare-for-the-worst/
Just my opinion, I think his advisers said… WOW! a Gift a Hurricane… Lets get obama out there to look like he knows what he is doing and taking charge… But then the Hurricane flopped… just like their plans. To bad they can’t get this serious about jobs.
