Could Wireless Signals Allow You to be ‘Watched’ Through Solid Walls?

Some of the latest in hospital technology research is monitoring patients without tubes and wires. Last month, The Blaze reported a thin device with electronic sensors that monitored vitals while stuck onto skin like a Nicorette patch. Now, it looks like scientists have developed a way to monitor breathing rate without tubes or masks as well.
According to New Scientist, the rise and fall of a patient’s chest is enough to “bend” the waves of the wireless signals in a room, which scientists were able measure and correlate with breathing rate. In a hospital setting, this technology would increase patient comfort from fewer monitoring devices connected to them.
But where it gets creepy, New Scientist reports, is that a couple years ago these researchers were also able to tell where a person or object was moving due to wireless signal strength fluctuations associated with movement. If you haven’t caught on yet, technology sensitive enough to detect breathing rate and the ability to “see” movement via wireless strength means this could have an application as new from of spy technology.

When the location sensing technology was originally announced, it was reported as also useful for finding locations of people behind walls in hostage situations, buying buildings and other emergency situations, according to TechShout.
New Scientist writes, “With this new level of precision, a system tailored for surveillance could spy on people as they move around a hotel room, for example, or even discern whether they are resting on a couch or in bed.”

Posted on September 29, 2011 at 11:06amLet them watch, listen, etc. as I am comfortable with what I do, say and think as He is all knowing and with me. We should be more concerned for our health from the radio frequency waves coming from the GE Smart Meters and appliances housing hidden micro chips, not only on our homes, but from our neighboors home. These meters are not a ‘opt in’ rather ‘mandatory’ pollution and poison to the human system, breaking the blood, brain barrier changing our DNA. We do not have to have these–stop the smart meters people from going onto your homes! It is against the law! Power companies and some utility commissions are in cahoots as our States have accepted millions in stimulus dollars to implement the green initiatives for all, sustainable developments, communities, smart everything. The UN agenda!
We are being damaged without even knowing it! As soon as the Silver Springs Smart Grid goes into effect we, America, will be controlled by ???? power companies, utilities, other nepharious people that are pulling our strings. The push for solar and wind will also be controlled, so goin ‘off grid’ will be controlled. It’s all about power and greed. There will be meters going on your homes that will monitor how much solar/wind they can charge you for!! Kick the UN out, defund the Dept. of Energy into non-existence!

take the leads and from outside of your home push it into you cable so it touches the wire inside, and any where you have cable in your house I will be able top listen into you conversations. also works on dishes. see people don’t realize anywhere the cale for your tv runs is a perfect antenna to use if someone wants to listen into your home.

Something a little more esoteric : about 20 years ago i read an article which a VERY strong case was made for “ ordinary ” houseold glass object’s ie: salt shakers, television screens ( ya think mabey plasma screens and hi-def would enhance that sort of thing ? ) and such being a virtually unlimited source of monitoring ( IN DETAIL ) each and everything we do in our house

Posted on September 30, 2011 at 12:28amI have no doubt about the monitoring – it’s the fact that power companies now have real time/remote access to my power useage that i care even less for – they can now observe something they or a government employee doesn’t like and they shut my power off or they can trigger an overload. As far as monitoring or listening in is concerned, alarm companies have enabled that for years with the little box on your wall ( it only SOUNDS paranoid ) !

This wouldn’t be much of a benefit to the thieves since the thieves (the government) already is stealing every single thing from every one of us without even having to go near our house. Of course, they will probably soon be using this to steal even more of our privacy.

That was the weirdest thing I have ever seen, the dr actually injected the 8 inch needle in my shoulder with an electronic hand… scared the sheet out of me. I was under an exray machine that I could watch nyself breathe… but it was all bones moving up an down!! Do I think they can watch from another room… HE!! yes they can!! Scary SHEET!!!

The Russians had an office in the World Trade Center that they used to spy on a NJ Bell Labs research lab doing passive sonar work for the US Navy. Their micro-wave equipment could track people in buildings as they walk around. That was 40 years ago.

However, if you build your house using Tempest standards, they will not be able to monitor you at all. They will, however, just kick the door in because you appeared to be too secretive.
It’s pretty easy to build a tempest house, but not so easy to convert one.
