Country Star Caught Lip-Syncing During Macy’s Parade Performance

Yesterday was not a good day for young country stars who got their start on “American Idol.” Just hours before Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina flubbed the National Anthem before the Packers-Lions game, Idol winner and fellow country star Scotty McCreery was caught lip-syncing during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
To be fair, McCreery wasn’t the only one who did it. If you watched (like my wife and I did) you would have found several examples. However, McCreery’s stands out because it was so obvious: he missed a cue and you could hear his voice for almost two seconds before he even brought the microphone up to his lips:
“Yes, everyone I saw yesterday at the parade was lip-syncing so that’s not the issue,” writes Rodney Ho of the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “He just missed the first three words of his song so he made it really obvious.”

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 8:39pmTirabi is a troll who made the account today. This is the only post on the account. It’s probably Your Sensei or Encinom or one of the other everyday trolls. They say the same things all the time… The Blaze doesn’t attack “such‘n’such“ because they want ”such‘n’such” elected… The Blaze focuses too much on “such‘n’such” … The Blaze doesn’t focus enough on “such‘n’such”…

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 9:35pmI agree, this is a non story. It was a parade. Everything is probably prerecorded. So? Its a parade. You don’t have LIVE performances of music on a FLOAT for crying out loud.

Posted on November 26, 2011 at 12:33pmI agree. This story is a waste of my reading. I thought “THEBLAZE” was going to be an innovative news organization. But it seems most of it is regurgitated blather that the MSM is already doing. :: YAWN ::

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 7:19pmEven in entertainment it’s a non-story, because the whole thing is lip-synched and has been for years. Everyone knows it, so why is it a story if a couple of guys have trouble matching their mouths to the music?

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 6:00pmit was funny because i seen this happen live, and not long before it i was thinking how do they keep their voice consistent when it is cold, and you can tell they want to shiver. Then that happened, then i started paying attention to them all…some were convincing but some were not. There was one where these girls were jumping all around the float singing, and there was no way they could do all that moving, and still sound like a record recording….lol…
my guess is they do it normally because of the weather.

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 11:07amNo surprise here. I am waiting for the time when GOPTP senators and/or congressmen get caught lip-syncing. For example, when John ***** or Paul Ryan or any of the other “performers” are giving a speech and instead of their voice it is the voice of Grover Norquist (the commie anarchist who hates the US Constitution) or the voice of one of the Koch brothers comes out in its stead! For, as we all know, these GOPTP douchebags actually are worshiping at the altar of these men in the name of Greed rather than protecting and serving our Constitution and their constituents!

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 10:24amThat staged stuff that they do in front of Macy’s is crap anyhow and we hate it. Frankly, we assumed that all of it was lip-synched, pre-recorded, enhanced, etc. So this is about as surprising as finding out that Barack Hussein Obama is a radical leftist.
To the networks (especially NBC): your parade coverage is insufferable! This staged garbage isn’t entertaining – it’s just lame. Just show the damn parade! THAT is all we want to see.
This kind of stuff is why we switched to WGN to watch the parade in Chicago.

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 10:19amThis isn’t news, and neither is Lauren’s misstep singing the National Anthem (she recovered and finished well.) Neither ruined my day, as they apparantly did to Seidl.
Now, the chaos going on during “I really need this stuff, and I don’t care who I hurt to get it” black Friday is newsworthy, and sad.

Thanks to Scott Bker for getting us the important stories of the day. How about covering this?
I spent Thanksgiving watching riots in Portugal on RTP. 3 million on strike. 3 Molotov cocktails through bank windows. The world is preoccupied with the financial crisis and not paying attention to the Iranian threat.

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 10:13amThey have always lip-synched that parade! It is easy to tell the difference between a studio recording and a live outdoor recording because there is no background noise in a studio recording and there is a big difference in the tone as a result of the acoustics of a recording studio verses the acoustics of a city street.
But we are just a bunch of rubes out here in flyover country so we won’t know the difference.
