No one was injured, Phoenix ABC affiliate KNXV-TV reported, but fire crews had to work quickly to keep the blaze from spreading to a trailer behind the bus.

“Fire was about as high as the roof of the building,” firefighter Shaun Denman told the station.

Brice said he and a few other people were asleep when the fire started. They had just arrived in the Phoenix suburb of Mesa after nine hours on the road.

“They were like, bus is on fire, we’re not kidding,” Brice said. “So we had to run off and within a couple of minutes it was in flames. The whole back of the lounge was apparently burned through.”

Firefighters were able to remove equipment and luggage from the bus, though some of the clothes were a little charred, Denman said.

Brice said he’s thankful no one was hurt.

“You know what, everybody is OK and that’s really the most important thing,” Brice said. said. “We’re blessed. We’ll be okay.”

What do you get when you play a country song backwards? You get your wife back, your house back & your dog back….

Drago, it is a rear engine bus, can’t you see the trailer attached to it when the fire is burning. The only front engine buses I know of are painted yellow and have kids riding in them.

    @drago:
You need to watch the ABC TV video, the fire obviously started in the engine compartment, just as my bus fire did!

Drago, look again at the picture and tell me it’s the front of the bus that burned. See the trailer hitched to the bus? Highly doubtful that the trailer is being pushed down the road.
Shagstar, no problem. I’m just here to help you. I have worked as a bus driver, as I’m sure you have, also. This was meant for the uninformed, not a luminati such as you.

I also had a bus catch on fire unexpectedly a few years ago, so this event sure brought back the memories! The main difference- we were traveling down the road instead of being parked, also we didn’t get any fire fighting assistence for close to 1 hour. (rural highway) Luckily nobody was hurt, nobody panicked, all passengers exited calmly, but our coach ended up a burned hulk and quite a few lost personal property.

Country star? Never heard of him. Haven’t listened to country in 16 years. They’ve been playing the same indistinguishable crap for well over a decade. All they do is strum and swipe in new lyrics…

Lee Brice is relatively new on the scene, he is best know for his songs Love Like Crazy and Woman Like You.

he is not “new to the scene” he has been writing some of the best country songs that have been on the radio the last decade. the dude is a stud. check out the songs he has written, put on his cds then sold rights to the big boys.

and you make country sound like its different than other genres… of course there is a sound that each band has or the genre as a whole. just cuz you dont care for it dont knock it. least our lyrics make sense and tell a story. not something you can say about most music

Forgive me if I DON’T CARE… Either I’m listening to talk radio or road noise because the music they whore on the radio is the worst of the worst. Everything now is – who can be the biggest attention whore or sex symbol, not the best musician. The country “music” they whore on the radio is a bunch of mediocre talent pretty boys [studs as you put it] that just rehash, retread, and knockoff what has already been done in the 90′s. Which was probably the worst decade in country music because it all sounds like a wet noddle. Strum strum, strum strum, dumb dumb, dumb dumb~

Country music is indeed in a sad state. I guess as long as garbage such as rascal flatts is pass along as country music, we won’t have much to look forward to.

What an incredible display of extraordinary common sense. We all need to try very hard to remember this lesson. Write this on the palm of your LEFT hand ‘Bus ON fire – Get OFF bus’.

The engine apparently is what caught fire, as it is a rear engine bus. They were probably idling to maintain climate comtrol. I’m glad they caught it in time to save the occupants and instruments. No, he gets to test his insurance coverage. I would imagine the bus is leased.

o I broke my promise to never post again, but I have to say this one last thing. How do we fight fire with fire? Not with a bloody revolution, it is not necessary at this point. Here is what ALL right minded Americans need to do:
We pick a date, we ALL call in sick, and stay sick for a week, we bring this country to it’s knees! If that does not do it, quit your jobs! How will they pay for their crimes, if they have no tax revenue? How will they control us, millions of us all at the same time?
WE CAN make a difference, WE CAN change the course away from communism, DO YOU HAVE THE GUTS to do this? What are they going to do, lock us all up for being deadbeats? There are not enough cops or jails if MILLIONS of people do this! What difference does it make anyway, you lose your job now, under our terms, or you lose your job and life later on their terms?
If we fail to come together we are LOST! Either we fight fire with fire, or we lose our country and freedoms forever!
If you are self employed, you can withold your taxes, fine. If you are paid by an employer, one has no control of the taxes THEY take out for you…I seem to remember the French Revolution being a bloody afair, and I said there was not need for one of those. This is a peaceful, yet EFFECTIVE means of protest. Not one drop of blood will be spilled to bring down this corrupt, illegal current gov’t we have now!
Do you think we are going to win in November, when they rig the vote? THINK
