Courage in Canada: Tiny Women Fight Back Rioting Men Trying to Overturn Car

Glenn has been talking a lot about courage lately — it’s even the theme of his event in Israel. The women you are about to see definitely deserve the title of “courageous.” That’s because they fought back a mob of angry men Wednesday in Vancouver who were trying to overturn a car.

The mob was part of the rioters that took to the street and decimated Vancouver after the Canucks lost game seven of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals. The vandals ravaged store windows, set fire to police cars, and overturned numerous vehicles. But there was one vehicle that had a few guardian angels.

In the video below, the women can be seen physically beating back male rioters who have their sights set on a certain car. From the video, it appears the vandals have already broken the car’s windows and dented its exterior. Still, the women were not going to let them have the victory of overturning the entire thing. Watch it below starting at 4:35. The entire video deserves a CONTENT WARNING for language, however the section with the women is safe:

It’s unclear if the car belonged to any of the women and how long they held off the attackers. But the point is they had the courage to take a stand. And at least for a little bit, were successful.

    At the end of the video we hear some imbecile yell, “This is Vancouver (unintelligible)…what we stand for.” So violence and destruction are what he stands for?

    Liberalism on display. This happens, to some degree, every time there is a large gathering of liberals. Compare the actions of those in this video with videos of TEA Party rallies. Notice the difference? As I tell my kids, political beliefs are not just reflected in our voting, they are apparent in everything we do.

    This isn’t NEW! Canadiens are the worst at losing. When I was a kid playing hockey we’d go to Canada and when we won tournaments our cars could have broken windows, flat tires or graffiti on them. This has nothing to do with the world as it is, it’s just the way they are……POOR SPORTS!!!
    Absolutely CLASSLESS, they BOO’ed during the Stanley Cup Presentation and gave little to no repect to the winning team.

    Also does anyone remember the Guns N Roses/Metallica Riot in…wait for it…..wait for it….CANADA!!!

    I‘m from Detroit so i’ve seen this happen when the Piston’s WON the championship…..someone PLEASE EXPLAIN THAT??!!

      First, I’m not defending what happened in Vancouver. I wanted to explain about the way the crowd reacted at the start of the trophy presentation ceremony.

      The crowd’s intense displeasure was for Gary Bettman, the NHL Commissioner. He is despised by hockey fans everywhere and this happens every year when the Stanley Cup is presented. Once Zdeno Chara, the captain of the Boston Bruins, received the trophy and skated away, the Vancouver crowd cheered. They continued to do so for all of the players as they took their turns hoisting the Cup.

      Makes me wonder how many hockey fans were responsible for starting the chaos? Maybe other posters’ suspicions are correct, that the instigators took advantage of a convenient situation.

    I am over 60 and until I started watching Glenn, I never thought I would see such an abomination in my country. I hope that all my generation including my Socialism loving neighbours, who are so willing to hand over our freedoms for their government hand-outs, watch every second of this. This is what they have bred in this country. This is their legacy. A bunch of over-indulged, give-me everything I want-morons who feel they have the right to take what they want or destroy everything or everyone who fails to give it to them. SHAMEFUL
    I couldn’t even watch the whole thing. I am so disgusted.

    I love how they didn’t just defend the car, but went after anyone who attacked the car. In fact, they KICKED that guy’s butt.

    This is amazing.

    Folks we are watching, LIVE, as our globe descends into all out turmoil. No place is isolated from its reaches…

    As Glenn says, we need to foster a peaceful revolution of minds – restore, not transform – but when these hooligans start invading my friends/family they’re going to do it at the end of a barrel.

      French is widely spoken in Canada, especially in Quebec. So, the non English language that you hear may not be foreign.

      You wouldn’t be impressed. The streets are littered with young, white, homeless crack addicts who beg at you constantly and the buildings look like something out of a 1960s central planner’s nightmare vision. Im sure many of the rioters were these same wastes of protoplasm. Weird. The surrounding area is beautiful however.

      Did you know that the first thing you see upon crossing into Canada from the US on the way to Vancouver, is a GINORMOUS MOSQUE???? Kind of a message to all Americans: ” We have this country already. You’re next.”

      Saw this yesterday on Drudge…linked to Vancouver newspaper and read the comments. Citizens are outraged…..even get rid of the team if this is what they bring. On and on and on….they all blamed everything but the kitchen sink, but it was all about BLAME. Not one of them even offered any solutions that included them getting from in front of their TV’s and getting to work to change the society they now live in….someone else needed to do something!! Guess what folks………we do the same thing. We see this coming….to change it will require getting out of TV room or out of computer room!! The choice is ours right now…it may not be later on!!

      This video has been shown on tv and the internet etc. Family and friends of the perpetrators of the damage are turning the people in to police,arrests are being made and charges laid. These people will have to pay for what they did. There has been too much of this type of behavior at sports events around the World. Canadians take a very dim view of these destructive acts. I would turn anybody i recognized in a heartbeat and have done so in the past. Nobody would get a pass with me. I’d have them cleaning the streets for a long time even after they paid for the damages and served time. Absolutely unacceptable behavior no matter what the provocation they they think they might have. Punks!

      There’s where the line is drawn: these women didn’t want the car overturned and fought to keep it from happening; Napolitano doesn’t care if the borders are not secure and stands around doing nothing to protect the citizens. When there are treason charges brought (in our dreams) add Napolitano’s name to the long list.

      In the case of treason charges against Napoletano; I imagine that yes, it is only in our dreams that it will happen, yet we never know. What is impossible for mankind, is possible suddenly when and how the Almighty steps in and directs events to happen.

      I have a different perspective on this violence:
      This is the result of not parenting your children. All those parents 50 and older who were busy busy busy with work or self gradification, this is the result of not being home teaching your children morals ethics or values. When you let a “village” raise children for you this is how they turn out, selfish, self-centered, angry, not knowing how to deal with dissapointment, or just thinking they can get away with anything they want. This is the behavior that parents have unleased on society.
      This is the reward.

      If I was a store owner, I would stand inside my store with a shotgun, and blow to bits whatever sob decided it was a good idea to break into my store. Those riot police needed to crack down and break that up a long time ago. This is sad that they let this childish behavior continue.

      There has been a giant sociological experiment being conducted on the youths of the western world for the last 10 or 15 years. Extremely violent and life like video games where heads are blown apart, rape, torture are played daily by many kids. They have become de-sensitized to violence and it is now commonplace and accepted.

      The future looks dim when we see riots over the loss of a sporting event, wait until there is a loss of all the socialist government handouts a la Greece.

      These idiots are nothing but white trash. I didn’t see the police take any action to stop the rioters. Where was the fire department? A good hosing down would have put an end to this crap.
      THIS CITY SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO HAVE A PROFESSIONAL SPORTS FRANCHISE… NOT EVER! This should be a part of the contract for anyone that owns a professional sports franchise, to immediately move the team when this sort of thing happens when a team loses or wins a game. The cost of this rioting is going to be very high.
