‘Cowards’ and ‘Henchmen’: Reid Aide Fires Back at Republicans Over Romney’s Tax Returns

In what is quickly becoming a case of high-profile name-calling, Harry Reid’s chief of staff David Krone called Republicans defending Mitt Romney’s decision not to release additional tax returns “cowards” and “henchmen” late Sunday.
(Related: RNC Chair Reince Priebus Calls Harry Reid a ‘Dirty Liar’ for Romney Tax Claim)
Krone told Politico: “They’re a bunch of cowards, and they’re avoiding the issue…Lindsey Graham, Reince Priebus — they’re a bunch of henchmen for Romney, and they’re all reading off the same talking points. They couldn’t hold a candle to Harry Reid.”
He continued: “What Harry Reid said is the fact of what he was told. To turn it around, all their childish rants this weekend about calling Reid a ‘liar’ and all that, it just shows you how scared they are that Harry Reid was telling the truth.”
Krone apparently failed to see the absurdity in condemning “childish rants” when his own boss has led the charge in that arena for the past week, claiming on the Senate floor that Mitt Romney hasn’t paid taxes in ten years based on a “tip” from a yet-unnamed Bain investor.
But Krone was right when he said Republicans have been calling Reid a “liar.”
RNC Chair Reince Priebus said on ABC Sunday: “Listen…I‘m not going to respond to a dirty liar [Harry Reid] who hasn’t filed a single page of tax returns himself, [then] complains about people with money but lives in the Ritz Carlton here down the street.”
CNN’s Candy Crowley asked White House advisor Robert Gibbs whether the administration is really behind the attacks on Romney’s finances Sunday, but Gibbs maintained the administration is not controlling the senator’s actions. Crowley remained unconvinced, asserting: “If Chicago wanted Reid to stop, he would stop, but Chicago doesn’t want him [to stop].”
Therefore, the term “henchman” may be a little more fitting for the likes of Harry Reid than Reince Priebus.
Krone concluded by, again, attempting to turn the tables on Republicans: “Who are these people to say Reid is not telling the truth? …They’re not telling the truth.”

That is something that makes me wonder who this Harry Reid POS is actually????
I think maybe we are seeing something that is historic in Senator Reid’s actions. Namely an acceptance to publically lie and defame. Why is he being given a pass for such outrageous lies, because he has gotten away with this same behavior for so long he has been promoted to “UNTOUCHABLE”.
For a man who used insider knowledge to buy certain tracts of land at the head of a bridge that had not yet been built impresses me that Harry Reid is willing to walk up to the line of illegality. But, this time I think Harry Reid has made foray into the illegal. Should we dare ask our fellow American Nevadan’s to throw the bum out via recall???

Hmm, if it’s slander, Mitt should sue Reid. And since the truth is an absolute defense against claims of slander and libel, then all Mitt would need to do is show his tax returns and Reid would be liable.
Hey, that rocks! We got Harry right where we want him. I’m getting all crusty and caked over just thinking about it. Can you imagine having Mitt and those five patriotic boys leading this country? > I’m curious if the Mormon church can or would take action

Yes, if another member (perhaps the one slandered) chooses to “press charges”. I suspect that Brother Romney is too classy for that.
The Stake President (roughly equivalent to a Catholic Bishop) in Searchlight, NV, would have to receive the complaint, then convene the High Council, and hold the court. Six of the Council would be assigned to defend him, six to “prosecute”. In the end, the judgement would be received by revelation, guided by the testimony of those called for that purpose.
The results would never be published by the Council. Brother Reid could make it known, but that’s his prerogative.
See Doctrine and Covenants 102.

This is nothing but another way to divide the people and exert a bully tactic. “If you have nothing to hide, why would you not let the police search your house?”
I would classify Harry a jack-Mormon – someone who claims to believe in the teachings of the Church, but doesn’t follow the tenets. Usually associated with a Mormon who drinks beer, smokes, cheats, and lies. That seems like the type of Mormon Harry has become!

The rich went offshore to buy these things, which then put all those types of businesses out of business. The rich paid smaller import fees than the high taxes, and the yacht builders in America went bankrupt and those workers were all laid off. Stupid Demoncratic policies of trying to fleece the rich always ends up ruining lives at the lower end of the scale. Clearly, when Reid alleges that a high-profile person like Mitt Romney “hasn’t paid taxes in 10 years,” this reflects poorly on the IRS as a whole. Either there is a legitimate reason for “not paying taxes” (and you do pay taxes on capital gains as well as interest income, BTW, but within a partnership structure such as Bain’s you can offset your gains with business losses and expenses associated with generating revenues) or Reid is full of baloney. This why it so dumb Romney has allowed this story to go on for over a week. That is a week lost for Romney that he could have had Obama on the defensive, instead Romney is on the defensive. Romney has no one to blame but himself this. He has allowed the worst president in US history to dictate the narrative.

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 12:19amCan’t hold a candle to Harry Reid, eh? The same Harry Reid who announced that the war in Iraq was “lost” while our noble military were fighting and dying there? This jowly partisan hack should go to Area 51, walk in, and not come out again. He is an absolute disgrace to the Senate and the Born in Battle State.

The only issue is the lies from you clowns… Makes a nice distraction though, doesn’t it ? Fools….
Proverbs 6:16-19
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 8:33amOf course given Romney’s history of lying to get ahead, he can’t be trusted all Romney has to do is follow the example of his father to silence his critics. What is Romney hiding, is it something immoral, illegal? How does he legally have a multi-million dollar IRA, are there other foreign accounts were he is hiding funds, avoiding paying his fair share of taxes.
The bible is a great distraction from the truth, quote the bible doesn”t change the lies of Romney.

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 12:12amReid you Stevens: Thaddeus Stevens (April 4, 1792 – August 11, 1868), of Pennsylvania, was a Republican leader and one of the most powerful members of the United States House of Representatives. As chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Stevens, a witty, sarcastic speaker and flamboyant party leader, dominated the House from 1861 until his death and wrote much of the financial legislation that paid for the American Civil War. Stevens and Senator Charles Sumner were the prime leaders of the Radical Republicans during the American Civil War and Reconstruction. A biographer characterizes him as, “The Great Commoner, savior of free public education in Pennsylvania, national Republican leader in the struggles against slavery in the United States and intrepid mainstay of the attempt to secure racial justice for the freedmen during Reconstruction, the only member of the House of Representatives ever to have been known as the ‘dictator’ of Congress.”[1]

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 12:12amLook at those cowards, not hiding behind nameless acusers. Why can’t they be brave and throw rocks and take pot shots from behind bushes like we do. Wait I mentioned Bush, oh crap, now I have to drink, I blame him for my bad liver. Wait, Harry just ODed again on viagra and mushrooms. He calls it “Growing Mario”. Wait, what were we talking about……..oh yeah, It‘s all bush’s fault and Romney is a felon, make him prove he is not. And Beck, stop telling everyone what Harry is doing on his Vegas trips, no one is supposed to know he rapes Pedos. SHhhhhhh, what goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas…..Oh No, Harry’s turtle is out and he is trying to hammer something. Stupid Mario games.

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 12:08amwhatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? you dont have to prove your innocence, they have to prove your guilt. Does anyone really think that Obama wouldnt have set the IRS on Romney months ago if he hadn’t paid his taxes? This is absolutely disgusting, and I can’t believe how anemic the response is to this garbage.
