Crazy Video: TV Reporter Caught in Middle of Angry Woman’s Violent Tirade

Abigayle Sloan, a reporter for Fox affiliate WXMI in Michigan, went to a local towing company Monday to report on a highway pileup that occurred over the weekend.  But an angry woman disrupted the report and forced Sloan to take cover in a locked closet to escape the woman’s violent outburst.

“I thought I was going there to cover a story about the big pileup, turns out I became part of it,” Sloan said.

The angry woman entered the shop and began yelling at the company’s employees about a towing bill. But when the situation escalated, the woman began throwing office equipment, screaming at employees and smashing windows.  At the beginning of the exchange, the woman’s young son can be heard yelling for her to “Stop it!” But when her anger grows, the boy begins to cry.

Fearing for her own safety after the angry woman throws things at her, Sloan retreated to a closet and called 911.

[Tiffany] Nealous was arrested by Grand Rapids Police Tuesday around 2 p.m., she has been transferred to Mecosta County Jail and is expected to be arraigned Wednesday.

Nealous has prior drug and assault charges, according to police.  The plan to charge her as a habitual offender.

But her boyfriend who was there for the whole thing says this isn’t like Nealous.  He says the video doesn’t tell the whole story.

“It was supposed to be a $75 tow bill, that’s what they told us, but when we get there to pick up the car, they say $225. [...] She [basically] felt they were trying to steal from her and pull an underhanded move on her and she just wasn’t going to have it,” said Mick Bement.

He says [Nealous] had abruptly stopped taking her anxiety medication earlier that week and that was a factor as well.  Now he says Nealous hopes to tell her story to a jury in the hopes they’ll understand.

    This woman needs to take a few anger management classes.

    Now she not only has a $225 bill to pay but also she will probably get some jail time and have another bill to pay to clean up the mess.

    What a dolt.

    This is not to mention that she has caused considerable stress to her own child who was crying while she was causing all this chaos.

    I hope she gets the help she needs and realizes the stupidity of her own actions which didn‘t remedy the situation of getting a bill that she didn’t expect. It just made it alot worse.

I was thinking the same thing when I was watching it all go down. You know she’ll never be able to pay for any of that; and if by some miracle she does pay for it, then that means less for the poor kid who was traumatized by it all.     This looks like a bipolar person off of her meds, I know there is no excuse for this type of behavior but this is exactly what happens when a bipolar person off their meds has some kind of stressor added. I think it is very wrong of you that commented that her mental condition was just an excuse. Until you have a loved one go through something like this you have no idea what life is like for them, there is no excuse for her to go off her meds but she probably wasn’t really in control after she did stop taking them. Before you start burning up your keyboard I am not condoning the action in any way, just try to have some sympathy for someone with a mental illness you might have someone close to you diagnosed in the future.

You never saw anything in my comment that said the woman shouldn’t be punished for what she did, so you can pretty much kiss my butt.       Phil… you’re a moron! The guy didn’t insult you or your comment ( I will ) He just stated his opinion. I have worked with and have members of my extended family with severe learning disablities… The tow truck drivers had every right to put her down/restrain her (OPINION Phil) but they didn’t. They did what the law requires… good for them, bad for the office.
      I personally believe she was just going “Gangsta” on them (O P I N I O N Phil). Bad upbringing and poor life decisions (As mental as every other “Ego driven American”)
      So go ahead Phil… take your meds before you flip out again… @ssclown.

      2nd opinion,

      I walked into a convenience store where a woman was hollering at a Hispanic male clerk, because he didn’t want to get involved in her dispute with a White male. She screamed “just because you all are White, you think that nothing will happen to you”. (She was a Black female.) She demanded that the clerk tell her who was the manager of the store. He pointed to the sign with the manager’s name and picture on it, and even gave her a pen to write it down. After she wrote it down, she threw the pen at the clerk. I asked what was going on.

      Apparently, what had happened was that woman had “nicked” the man’s car at another place. The man followed her to get her insurance information. The women took offense at the man following her, and demanded that the clerk at the convenience store “protect” her from the male who had followed her.

      I must say that everything ended well. The police arrived. The woman was made to lean on the police cruiser and patted down. I left then, but I hope that she is held responsible for “dinging” the guy’s car.

      Maybe they were thinking of the lawsuit since everybody has an attorney in their pocket. But I would argue there’s a valid claim of self defense underneath 80% of that debris, Sometimes when you throw a phone hard enough at the wall it “bounces” back at you.

Wasn’t that from Michigan too? I truly feel sorry for the boy in the video – he probably sees worse than that from his mom. CPS needs to look at this.

    nothing will happened to the child even if CPS gets involved. They will eval the mother, say they will monitor the family for a while and the child will be put back into the unstable, emotionally charged environment. If she does this in public, then just imagine the way she prob acts in the comfort of her own home. Perfect breeding ground for a future convict.

    As I started reading this story, I realized that this woman was off her “calming” meds and was probably some kind of drug abuser. I feel so sorry for her child. I would say that child protection should look into this, but I also know what kind of idiots work at child protection. Of course they are all in a public service union.

    I’ve never heard of “anxiety” attack that ended in an attack of rage. Maybe she wasn’t on one medication, but I’d say she was likely on another. It would be nice to see the full video from start to end to see what actually triggered the outburst. At least no one was hurt, but you’d think there would be consideration for her child. I guess it comes down to it…repeat = repeat.

      I think you got it right, DOUGRAL!! There are places to settle disputes like this, it’s called small claims court! By listening to this child, it sounds like he has been through this before, and I’ll bet the courts and/or judges will be looking into this child’s home life. It wouldn‘t be such a sad occurrence if the boy wasn’t there while it happened. I’ll bet we all have been incensed like this at least once in our lives, but to lose control is just not acceptable.

      Obviously there is problems with towing companies in the USA… the government needs to intervene, regulate and violators are to be fined. It is a right to have your car towed and a right to be charged a fair price. We need a new government panel for this and the tax payers should foot the bill! (SARC:ON)

    I have worked with mentally ill and emotionally unstable people for 10 yrs now. She will be evaluated and charged as she should be. The saddest is hearing the distress in the child. I hope they get the boy some help so he can understand what is happening and not follow his mothers behavior in life. The cycle continues all too often.

      When my son was in 5th grade there was a student labeled “emotionally handicapped” who was constantly getting in trouble in class but always received a “pass” because of his condition. One day when he brought a large variety and number of prescription drugs to school, the kids told the teacher who sent him to the principal (a feel good liberal). Again he got a pass. In this boy‘s free time he stole bikes in the neighborhood and sold them to a man with a bike shop who would rebuild them so they couldn’t be identified. I often wonder what happened to him. Moral of the story: If they don’t learn early in life that their condition is not an excuse for bad behavior, they will end up having a violent tirade or worse, they could be a parent.

      Well the people in this country have completely lost it. This woman is crazy. I feel sorry for that poor child. With examples like this no wonder the children in our society have such little respect for other people and their property, I hope they have a nice place for the child to stay and keep this lunatic in jail and let some one there with a temper straighten her butt out. I sure hope they make her pay for all the damages done in that business. But they probably won‘t do any thing to her or very little that is what perpetuates this kind of behavior they don’t have any reprecussions.

      Yes, towing companies will rip you off…LEGALLY! If you don’t get yourself into situations where your car is towed away, you won’t ever have to worry about this. Unfortunately, there will always be a significant portion of the population who doesn’t “get it”. Hopefully, this genius sits behind bars for a few months, and the child is put with a family that will be good and loving models for him.

      The sad thing is that is is someones personal lively hood, someones business, and she caused massive amounts of damage while they were begging her to stop. For her to act out like this in front of a child is the ultimate of no shame. She is teaching her son that when life is hard you dont raise above it and overcome you destroy.
