Create a Spot for Clyburn: House Dems Avert Leadership Struggle

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Democratic officials say the party has averted a leadership struggle in advance of next week’s party elections.

Under the agreement, they say Rep. James Clyburn has agreed to drop his challenge to Rep. Steny Hoyer to become second in command. Instead, Clyburn will be elected to a new position one rung lower on the leadership ladder.

Word of the deal came in a vaguely worded statement from Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in line to become leader of the minority Democrats when Republicans take power in January.

The statement made no mention of Hoyer. The plan was described by officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, saying they were not cleared to discuss the matter publicly. Clyburn’s office did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

The more you think things will change, the more they remain the same. This story and the news on the republican struggle with the debt ceiling clearly demonstrate we have only begun the fight to take the country back. I think this may get very ugly before it actually gets better. We must be strong and focused. Whether its Fabian socialists, communists, liberal progressives or all of them together, there is a well organized, well funded agenda in play. Remember the letter circulated earlier this week asking Pelosi to step down? That sure went away in a hurry.

Let the idiot House Dems make up whatever MINORITY PARTY positions their pea-brains come up with… and Let Hoyer and Clyburn share/ake turns with the limo and security detail already “budgeted” for House “leadership” use. Just don’t spend one more dime of taxpayer money on these percs ! And if these lame-duck scumbags try “funding” any such percs for this undeserving individual, then (along with specifically cutting head-witch Pelosi’s travel and office budget !!!) the incoming MAJORITY PARTY needs to immediately defund ALL such percs for the MINTORITY PARTY. I’ve already sent letters demanding this to my Representative and each of the newly-elected freshman, and urge everyone reading this to do the same. Don’t let these self-improtant b*stards waste one more penny on their worthless hides than they already do !!

Lets not forget THAT Barry payed back Clyburn for his 2008 campaign support, by giving Clyburns daughter a seat on the 5 board members at the FCC (MIGNON Clyburn). Now shes rubbing elbows with Barrys Diversity (FCC) Czar Mark Lloyd the one that LOVES HUGO CHAVEZ. Oh yea by the way I went thru FOI act and found out Mr Lloyd gets a annual $134,000.00 pay of tax payers money. Amazing how PROGRESSIVE (Democrats) planting there seeds thru out ALL Government levels in order to gain control of the masses.

This is exactly with the 111th Congress was such a miserable failure. These democrats disagree and distance themselves from Pelosi, but they’ll cower back – allowing her its highest ranked position, unchallenged. Back-room deals in the middle of the night – aren’t gonna save them now.

Gutless, spineless men and women who will not do what they believe to be best for our country – or even what is best for themselves – but will continue their lock-step behavior to the very end.

It’s that mentality that kicked butt in the midterms – and it’s that mentality that will cause their loss in the up coming general elections as well.

Follow your pied piper democrats … right over the cliff – - –

Oh well – they’ll blame someone else anyway.

I love these self-made civil rights heroes who drive into the ghettos in their Mercedes Benz from their white gated community and tell their supposed bothers and sisters that they can’t make it America because the Man wants to keep them down.

Exactly. Repubs who are glad she is not being replaced, fail to understand the reason why. Obama, Pelosi and Reid have no intention of changing their agenda or listening to We the People. Obama flipped us the bird and went on his luxury vacation, away from the country he so despises. As soon as he gets back, the Evil Trinity will press on with their goal to run America into the ground.

      knotaclu,

You are reasoning under the premise that “showing her true colors” will not push us off the cliff. Two years is a long time. Look at what those three have already accomplished. The reason they kept her is because she is one of three people implementing the “destroy America” agenda.

Also, I would contend that Americans who relate to ANY other Dem at this point, support her as well. It is clear to patriot Americans that the Dim Party has been hijacked by radicals and that no matter who they put at the helm, it will not be a moderate.

kryptonite, totally understand. The thing I like about her being in leadership is that she is now in the MINORITY, and that is a major difference. She needs to be in the limelight, along with Hoyer, Clyburn and the other wackos that have taken over the party. Heath Shuler in the leadership role in my opinion would make the D’s look closer to main stream.

      Knotaclu,
I am not comfortable with the idea of “keeping the enemy closer” in this particular case. To Pelosi, a minority leader position is still better than having no decision-making power. You are right that Shuler would be great for Dims, but he doesn’t stand a chance. If Pelosi is elected minority leader, it will be proof that the radicals have NO NEED of popular support to continue down their current path of destruction. I hope you prove me wrong.

      @EP46

Just as I have posted before. The Democrats NEED an enslaved (by welfare, food stamps, rent subsidies, medicaid &etc.) electorate of relatively poor and uneducated people in order to keep being re-elected. None of these people have or own businesses, they have little if any work experience and they depend on the corrupt politicos to keep them fed, clothed and housed.

Just look at most of the large cities where Democrats have been in power for the past thirty years or more or rural areas where the same party has been in charge. Drugs, crime, prostitution and other things reign and are winked at by the pols, that is as long as they get re-elected. Unfortunately, the residents of these areas haven’t been educated enough to put these pariahs out of office.

Amongst many on the plantations (BTW, many love living there) Dependency is looked on as the family estate/wealth to be passed down from generation to generation.
As the generations grows in numbers, the estates gets larger..
These estates taxes are paid for w/ votes.
