‘Creator’-phobia? Flashback to Another Omission on the House Floor

Let’s start by saying the following video is from 2002. But that doesn‘t mean it’s irrelevant.

President Obama’s habit of omitting ‘Creator’ from the Declaration of Independence, coupled with a League of Women Voters official’s recent refusal to say the Pledge of Allegiance, suggests that some on the left are more worried about being political than patriotic.*

But while the idea of omitting the Creator or refusing to say the Pledge has gotten a lot of attention lately, the concept isn’t anything new.

Flashback to 2002 when Betty McCollum (D-MN) refused to say “under God” while leading the Pledge on the House floor.

McCollum excused the omission by claiming she simply took a breath. But some zoom work by Townhall shows that’s a stretch:

Townhall did some digging and found that McCollum claims to be Roman Catholic. She’s running for re-election in Minnesota’s 4th congressional district against Republican Teresa Collett.

Since the phrase “under God” wasn’t added until 1954, she’d have had more credibility to say that she was just a purist and trying to be historically accurate. Unfortunately, walking it back by saying that she was just taking a breath is … uh … welll …

I think the pursed lips and flared nostrils tell it all.

Nice try, congresswoman.

Let me point out that the language was changed the same year the Congresswoman was born. That would mean she should have been raised reciting the new language. Still, it is possible that she was taught the Pledge by some “purists,” but as the reader points out, that’s not the excuse she gave.

    And while on the subject of the pledge, I just received an email with a picture of B.O. and his wife saying the pledge with their hands on their chest. However, they were using their left hands. Their wedding rings were on that hand – are they so out of it or do they take us for total idiots…

    Goofing around with the Pledge of Allegiance is one thing, but messing with the Declaration, well, that’s really, really serious, particularly since the phrase that the POTUS has difficulty with is the phrase that was inserted as an “in your face” to the divine right of kings and every European monarch there was at the time.

    It‘s tremendously sad that the leader of this country can’t bring himself to say the words that actually allowed him to be elected into office. Think about it for a minute. If the American form of government had been modeled on the European form, would you honestly be able to say that we as citizens would have the right and the wherewithall to elect a black man to the highest office in the land? Honestly? If our rights were not endowed by our Creator, who superceeds governments and officials, do you think it would have happened?

      The Muslims in this country do not have sufficient numbers to be a political threat to Progressives. Christians, however, pose the greatest threat to a Progressive agenda. This is why Progressives pretend to defend these minority religions. It is to cover themselves in self-rightousness. Do you ever see any Progressive commentator attacking Islam for it’s views on homosexuality or the role of women in society? Never. This is because Progressives are so “tolerant” and open to “dialogue and the sharing of ideas”. Phooey!
      Progressives only seek power and more power over the lives of the citizenry. If you are a Christian, your faith gets in the way of this agenda.

      You have TWO mindsets present. One is that of the Leftist, and one is that of the Liberal. The Leftist is an evil, Machiavellian SOB dedicated to the implementation of Collectivism (i.e. the enslavement of humanity). They want control as they believe in a delusion whereby their superior intellect will be able to solve all the problems, eradicate misery and greed, so on and so fourth. They see themselves as “neo-Gods”, they know EXACTLY how and EXACTLY why the world is as it currently appears and they alone know how to fix it. They see the world through a very, very distorted lens and they care not a wit about the means employed to achieve their ends, only the ends are relevant, and as long as their vision is meet with fruition it doesn’t matter what else must be done.

      The true Liberal is the principal victim of the Collectivist. They suffer tremendously from kind hearts and a naive do-gooder complex. They are sympathetic and empathetic and they are often very nice people with the best of intentions. In many ways, when it comes down to their hopes, dreams, and desires, they are very child-like. “Why can’t we all just get along?”, “Mommy and Daddy are mean!”, “Ice cream for everyone!”, so on and so fourth….

      The Leftist manipulate the Liberals (for the purpose of undoing the whole) by employing guilt, fear, and intimidation (i.e. public denunciations which we now call “Political Correctness”). The Leftist also use praise when their Liberal victims react correctly. Think Stick and Carrot, except for humans instead of donkeys.

      Now,… the Liberals hate to feel guilt, they don’t really like conformation, and ABOVE ALL… they don’t want to be accused of inflicting anyone with ANY of the aforementioned crimes. The Leftist have acclimated them using the PC techniques developed in Europe during the beginning of the last century. So, for a Liberal… the Cardinal Sin, the sin of sins that warrants the punishments of punishments, is to do something that inflicts discomfort on another.
      The Leftist (who literally don’t give a poop about that, they’ve killed over 100M Human Beings so far), utilize this reaction and hone it with the tool they’ve created for this purpose, Political Correctness.

      The Leftist says “America did this to these people, America did that to those people… Americans this, American that” etc, etc, etc… the implication being YOU (the Liberal) ARE AN AMERICA TOO, AND YOU ARE CAPABLE OF ALL THIS AND MORE AS WELL…. In other words, they control them with the specter of their most deeply seeded fears, that THEY are, or can become, the tormentor.

      In order to escape this potential, the Liberal will do ANYTHING…. But the easiest thing they can do to fend off that specter, to completely refute the charge, is to adopt the side of the tormented. i.e “I’m with YOU, I’m not a tormentor, I’m not the evil one, I’m not the master… I’m a SLAVE just… like…. you…, I… AM…. ON… YOU’RE… SIDE…”

      Like a child would do…

      The Liberal adopts the “side” of the tormented and down-trodden to escape the charges and accusations leveled at them by the Leftist having witnessed the Leftist beat so many people just like themselves down previously. They then “side” with the Leftist for the SAME reason… to gain the carrot and avoid any more stick. “I’m on your side too”.

      It is merely up to the Leftist at that point to figure out WHO will be portrayed as the victim, who are the down-trodden, which group is the oppressed? AND, who do they pick? Their enemies, the Capitalist, the Bourgeois, anyone else opposed to them? NO… They pick enemies of the United States who are their friends and allies in the effort to bring down the principal opposition to their hegemony, THE UNITED STATES!

      AND THAT MY FRIEND, is why Liberals side with the Muslims and hate Christians and shun God.

      Christians (all legitimate denominations) and God are pitted against the control of humanity by anyone, but most assuredly by the murdering slavers that are the Leftist. Muslims want to bring us down too, and so the Leftist welcome the help, for now….

      Liberals are doing exactly what they’ve been acclimated to react to:
      “Side with them, and we will hit you hard and make sure all know you are a tyrant! Side with us and you shave have carrots and praise”.

    this is rampant throughout the democrat party, and for the most part, the old school democrats ..grandpa and grandma…………that vote democrat have no idea that the party has been hijacked. please make sure you talk to your elders for their wisdom and experience, but to also reveal to them what they may not know…….my g-mom had no idea what was going on, as she doesnt have a television, and when i showed her similar things like this video, i almost thought she was going to stroke………..now she is one mad granny, took my extra tv, odered cable, and invites everyone from her church to learn…..she started a granny revival and is not going to fade quietly into the mist.

      A lot of old school democrats are still not aware of what today’s democrats stand for. My mom is 96 and sharp as can be. Even doctors think she has to be in mid 70′s. When she saw the light many years ago, she became Conservative. Old time dems don‘t realize what’s happened to their party. Jimmy Carter was the real turning point for me, although I supported Goldwater earlier. Carter was known as the worst President, but now he has his equal in Obama. Save our Nation……..VOTE

We need to get back to the basic principles and morals that our country was founded upon…firm reliance on Divine Providence. Once God is restored to where He needs to be, so shall our nation!

      I’m more intrigued by what she did say. What is she saying? I quote “I pledge THE allegiance to the flag….”

      Many will “breathe” through “under GOD”; it’s expected of some classes of people.
      I just don’t know what is meant when one “I pledge the allegiance….”? Now “I pledge allegiance….” and “I pledge my allegiance….” I understand but just what is “…the allegiance….”?

      Any answers? I really don’t understand what she meant. Well, maybe she was just nervous, you know will the making a public point bi omission and all.

      Thanks to another pissed off MN CD 4 voter for finding this and sharing with me. THIS IS THE VIDEO BETTY DOESN’T WANT YOU TO SEE!!! Here it is obvious she intentionally OMITS “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance. At the time, her staffers claimed she took a breath…uhm, yeah that’s it. Betty, here is what I think…due to the nature of the Bill before you, that somewhere in your liberal head you did this intentionally to make a point!!! We don’t believe you!!!

      It almost sounds like she says “I pledge THEE allegiance…” as in she’s pledging YOUR allegiance, but not her own. Very strange. Sounds like something she doesn’t believe in anyway, so you’re welcome to pledge yours, but she won’t pledge hers.

    I would not say that this is creator phobia. It is creator hate. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. If they feared God, laws like abortion would not be allowed. Instead, they call evil good and good is evil. This is more of a spiritual warfare than people even realize what is going on right now.

      OK, a lot of you guys are going to bite my rear end for saying this.
      I would rather have this woman just refrain from saying ‘under God’ then run around harping about separation of God and state and shrieking about taking out the pledge from all further meetings. She should not run around calling herself any kind of Christian after this though, as she would not have taken such a conveniently timed ‘breath’ if she were truly a woman of faith. I just said the pledge a couple of times and it is pretty easy to do without leaving out the most important part.

      No biting your ear off from myself, I agree that if someone omits the ‘Under God’ they should take a good look at the beliefs they profess; understand there are some Christian denominations that do not take the pledge, determined by personal convictions that allegiance is to the Almighty first. If one is to call yourself of any faith, do the best to live up to those ideals and principles.

      Let the life one lives and the actions they do be the proof in the pudding, do not just be a sayer of your ideals, be a doer and a living example unto them; for if they are that precious to the individual, they will regard them all the more valuable.

      It’s easy to leave out “under God”? Every rally I have been at, starting 6 years ago when Pat Gray was in Houston, under God was a bit louder than the rest just to make a point. It’s like forgetting Amen.

      I believe in religious freedom. If she does not want to acknowledge a higher being, so be it. But when it is known that she is Catholic, it looks like someone was brainwashed and told to leave this out. Politicians do one thing! They will do whatever they have to do to get elected. They may go in wanting to change the country for the better and do their part. When they get in, they see how much power and money they can get and they are blinded. This is why term limits are required. How do you get a group of people to vote on firing themselves… We all do what is required for self perseveration. So until we can get term limits instituted without the requirement of politicians to vote on it, we are stuck with the corrupt people in office. If I am wrong, why would you spend millions of your own money to get elected to an office with pay less than $300k. You think there is other money out there???…Hum!

They may not want to hear or talk about God now, but I can GUARANTEE you, when they die they will ALL be believers when they stand before the Almighty God of the Universe. But it will too late for them, they will have to join their satanic leader which will be laughing his head off as he has fooled another one into believing there is no God…. “It is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgement”.
