Creflo Dollar Denies Choking and Punching Teen Daughter

(AP) Megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar is staunchly denying allegations in a police report that he choked and punched his 15-year-old daughter during an argument.

Dollar addressed the report head-on as he faced his congregation Sunday morning at the World Changers Church in metro Atlanta. The pastor told his flock: “I will say this emphatically. I should have never been arrested.”

Dollar was charged with misdemeanor counts of simple battery and cruelty to children after his daughter called 911 Friday. A police report says she told Fayette County deputies her father choked and punched her. The pastor says they were arguing because he wouldn’t allow his daughter to go to a party.

Dollar told his congregation Sunday that “all is well in the Dollar household.” Several members of the congregation spoke with AP Sunday:

The fifteen year old (victim of the assault) and her nineteen year old sister give the same account.
    Deuteronomy 19:15
“One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.”
Oh and the police thought their was cause to arrest him.
If he would have confessed, parents could have understood losing his cool in love. But now that he’s denying the assault, uh oh.

When my son was around 15, he told us he could call Social Services on us. We were notorious at saying NO. That is probably what happened with the daughter. She didn’t get her way, so she called the police and said her dad was choking her. Maybe he just slapped her. But the police came, and the girl used histrionics to “punish” the parent saying NO. I have a hard time believing Creflo Dollar did anything worth being arrested for. Our son was out of control. I imagine this daughter was the same way.

I believe Creflo. I was once an unruly 15 year old who said and did many things that were out of line and not the truth. Bless you Creflo for taking on the challenge of raising children in this day and age!

As a Dad of two grown children I had a Rule. Only two things would bring the Rod. First was lies or stealing. Back talk did not equal a trip to the pain of the Rod. It however received a solid rebuke and other effective punishments. Like removal of liberty to go any where and removal of phone use. And my favorite was extra work. That always gave the little imps time to let their mouths relax, But grabbing a child by the neck is over the top. If even only for a few seconds. Unacceptable !!

Having raised three daughters I can say with some confidence, they probably needed it, as they do from time to time, and if you haven’t done it, don’t speak at all as you know nothing about it.

      Exactly.

Liberals want America to fail. This is their biggest most effective weapon. They use it having learned from the likes of Hitler. Indoctrinate the children in the schools. Alienate the children from their parents through easy divorce and Gestapo Social Service Agencies who hire only very abused as children workers. Give them insane rules to enforce and you can destroy the next generation do this for three generations and you can destroy America even.

At the same time in the Prisons use all these punishments that parents can never use and far worst. Same in Social Services Group homes. Pure EVIL.

I am female but hesitate to automatically side with the daughters on this because I know how too many of my sex behave when they want to get their own way, even as adults. Drama, histrionics, and lies will rule the day and too many onlookers will fall for it and take the bait. Very likely, the only thing this man did wrong was not instill respect through discipline when the girls were much younger. When I was 15, “NO” meant “NO” and the discussion was over. There was no room for argument. But that was back when parents were allowed to BE parents. Now the kids think they can call the cops on them when they are disciplined. What a world.

Creflo please face it, your daughter chose the state for her parent and her God. Turn her over to the state so she can be happy. They can place her in a state home or a foster home where the state will be properly served and obeyed. Life will be so good for her, let her go, its all aboput love, let her go to who she loves.

Yes it is frustrating but, He loves his daughter and is not prepared to give up on her over a spat. I raised two and in spite of the screaming matches at times we have a great relationship now when they are in their mid twenties. I never had to use physical restraint but every kid is different and some are very very headstrong and know exactly how to push our buttons so I sympathize with this father. I always told my kids that if I didn‘t love them that I wouldn’t care where they were or what they were doing. They seemed to be able to clue into that for the most part. I remember how strong the urge to be with your peers can be at 15. Especially if a crush is involved which is always the case. God bless parents that care enough to make a stand and try to protect their brain damaged infuriating teens.

This man among others in the prosperity gospel “business” have deceived many and are clearly described by Peter in the gospels. His character is already one of a liar so he probably is guilty. The 911 tapes will paint the picture more clearly. “These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

2nd Peter2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

and Jesus: “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognise them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognise them (Matt 7:15-20).

      @Aunt Nee Nee

False teachers need called out. Read the book of Jude. This guy may or may not be a believer but his sermons and lifestyle is in contradiction to the Bible. Rat poison in 99.98% rat food and .02% poison. The “seed – sowing” gospel takes advantage of a lot of people. I hope God helps him in his trial and sets him straight.

His daughter might have needed a good rod of correction. I’m not judging him on that. But a spiritual man “judgeth all things”.

And how, pray tell, does his lifestyle contracdict the Bible? Because he earns his living doing speaking engagements and selling books rather than taking a salary from the tithes and offerings collected by the church? Because his income is higher than yours? Where does the Bible say that just because a person is a minister he or she must live in abject poverty? Are you jealous because you aren’t rich like him?

I will wait for all the facts, rather than automatically condemning Pastor Dollar based on the initial reports. I have been falsely accused by a hard-headed, rebellious teenager of doing something I didn’t do, so I can sympathize with him. It is foolish to reflexively take the word of a 15-year-old over a grown person – especially a parent – who has been accused of doing something totally out of character. Have common sense enough to dig deeper.

Does God’s spirit of wisdom tell a minister to give Atlanta police officers $1000 gift checks after the county drops two of your speeding tickets?
