‘Criminals’: Former Muslim Brotherhood Spokesman Says America Will Be ‘Brought To Its Knees’

Former Muslim Brotherhood Spokesperson Kamal Helbawy Says America Will Be Brought to Its Knees

The Muslim Brotherhood has been the focus of significant media and administration attention in recent months, as the United States tries to conclude where the organization truly stands.

Is it a “largely secular,” reformed organization as James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence believes?  Or is it simply biding its time until it has amassed enough influence to be a credible threat?

Today, Leon Panetta met with Egypt’s new Islamist President Muhammad Morsi, who is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, and said he is “convinced“ that Morsi ”is truly committed to implementing democratic reforms here in Egypt.”

But what are Muslim Brotherhood leaders saying behind closed doors?  If countless prior reports haven’t made that clear, here is another example.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) recently released a clip of Kamal Helbawy, a former spokesperson for the Muslim Brotherhood, saying it is only a matter of time before America is “brought to its knees.”

“This is no difficult task for Allah,” he added.

Helbawy says:

These criminals, with the administration, their system, and their institutions – the Pentagon, the White House, the CIA, Homeland Security, the FBI, and others…

They are all criminals, planning the killing of people, young and old, planning to kill the revolutions in their cradle. They deceive all parties.

They have defended that criminal and plundering state of Israel.

We should not fear America or whoever is behind America. We fear none but Allah.

If we use the capabilities at our disposal properly, America will be brought to its knees, and will be defeated like the Soviets in Afghanistan.

This is no difficult task for Allah. [Emphasis added]

According to MEMRI, Helbawy’s speech was given at a rally for the release of the “Blind Sheikh,” who is in U.S. custody for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.  Though the man split with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood after the revolution, he reportedly has as much influence as ever.

A leading member of Britain’s Muslim community, in particular, Helbawy also made news in 2011 when he called for a “United States of Islam.”

      Are you sure there is a difference? God used Nebuchadnezzar to bring ancient Israel (Judah, actually) to it’s knees. Jeremiah tried to warm King Zedekiah that God was using Nebuchadnezzar as a tool to punish Jerusalem and not to resist.

      No one “dislikes” Obama more than I do but I realize that he would not be where he is if God didn’t “let him.” Will history record Obama as the anti-Christ? Enough to make my brain ache.

      There are former Mormons who are afraid that that Mitt Romney will be the anti Christ..because of their belief that they will become gods..and they have bought food sources such as farms.and orchards and they have purchased news media..power companies and plan to rule the world Mormon Kingdom by giving or withholding food.. Romney is described by volunteer lawyers for Ron Paul as a Crime Syndicate figure..and if you have ever watched Lifetime true stories of Mormons..they are like the syndicate..They are not as they appear..
