And you are forgetting the sister rallies in places like LA, which had tens of thousands show up at multiple locations. Moral of the story? Way more people are sick and tired of guys like Beck that talk nonsense and attempt to divide us than those that are fans of this kind of rhetoric and ideological hatred.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 11:12pmThe facts are all out there for any intellectually honest person to find with about ten keystrokes. The one thing that every American should take from today is that the network news people are about as worthless as my last night’s dinner floating down the Chicagoland scum sewer.
I could buy there was maybe enough people to fill Soldier Field for a Bears game here which is around 60.000 people. If there were hundreds of thousands we’d be seeing non stop video overhead for the next three days to try and sway the upcoming Tsunami election.
That‘s how you KNOW they’re lying their Jackbooted tails off.
All they had to do to settle it without a dount was send someone up the Washington Monument and they banned that as only THEY released the pics they cherry picked/ Even watching it there was not one pan shot of the crowd from any aerial perspective whatsoever.
These obvious news controlling fascists truly believe all Americans are morons, that‘s the lesson of today’s ‘Send in the clownfest’.

Many of these posts sound like a bunch of middle school kids taunting their classmates…”Oh yeah, well it wasn‘t as good as Glenn Beck’s, so there!”. This rally is all about what one commonly refers to as comic relief. In a country that is ready to explode we could use a little comic relief, no matter what side it comes from. Personally, I believe we have much bigger fish to fry; not only this Tuesday but in 2012. The progressive movement is really picking up the pace and we need to stay focused and energized on the important stuff. Believe me, this rally is not one of them. So enjoy the weekend, have a good laugh because our fight is truly just beginning.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 6:38pmNot comic relief, relief from the comedy of the 24-hour, cable news cycle that Fox and MSNBC cash in on. Stewart’s final 15 minute speech was the most eloquent explanation for why Beck, O’Reilly, Limbaugh, Maddow, Olbermann and Schultz are destroying America. His metaphor about cars going one after another despite NRA or pro-Obama bumper stickers is brilliant. Anyone who disagrees with this hasn’t a clue what the average American is all about. Earning eight figures and having access to anyone on the planet, Jon Stewart remains grounded and aware of what it is like to bus tables or struggle to make ends meet. As he said, most people are not crazy-afraid of the nonsense that our media focuses on, but merely running a few minutes late to a job that they are not enthusiastic about…but they get it done anyway. That is America. Not the commie-fearing or racist-card-playing talking heads on television who do not have a clue. This is not comic relief. This is speaking truth to power. It is King Lear’s fool–the only one who describes the tragedy correctly.

One could say the same thing about Beck’s Rally (that it was a PC cover for his own agenda) and could possibly have even more of a claim to it. The fact is 8/28 was originally supposed to be for his book Broke (which he called The Plan at the time). It was supposed to be a big book release party (search his website for “The Plan” or “100 year plan” for verification) in which he would unveil his “100 year plan to fix the country”.
Now some would say that Beck’s idea for the “100 Year Plan” evolved to The Restoring Honor Rally which is what he says.Or one could say that he couldn’t get the backing of The Special Operations Warrior Foundation or any other if it was based in any way a for profit venture or on a political message (again a fact that you can check the foundations press releases).

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 2:03pmI have not been impressed and what I find most ironic is how this is being presented on Comedy Central. I have been under the impression that the progressive movement is staunchly against corporate America and corporations in general yet this whole thing is “proudly being sponsored” by companies like Reece’s and LG. Personally I do not have a problem with it but it seems a little hypocritical to me.

Report Post »MotherofTwo
Posted on November 1, 2010 at 2:49amI’m not sure if everyone realizes that the “corporate sponsors” were for Comedy Central’s coverage of the rally, a network cable channel, and not for C-Span. Remember Glenn Beck’s Rally only covered by C-Span and his website/Facebook, it wasn’t broadcast on any of the Fox News Channels or any other TV or cable network.
Aside from C-Span’s coverage and it being streamed on the internet for free, Comedy Central was gracious enough to air the entire three hour rally uncut and without any commercial interruption. The only way to counteract some of the huge commercial revenues lost by Comedy Central during those three hours is with corporate sponsors. Comedy Central, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report covered the entire cost of the rally and the Stewart/Colbert weren’t paid to perform.
The donations were linked directly to the websites for The Trust for The National Mall (Jon Stewart’s) and DonorsChoose.org. (Stephen Colbert’s). In addition to donations, all the proceeds from the sale of merchandise goes to : 1. The Trust for The National Mall (The Rally To Restore Sanity/Jon Stewart’s half of the Rally) and 2. The Yellow Ribbon Fund (The March to Keep Fear Alive/Stephen Colbert’s half of the rally). They are all incredible organizations (just as the Special Operations Warrior Foundation is) and I hope people will support them.
We don‘t have to decide or agree who had a better rally or who’s message was more meaningful or who had a bigger attendance. What really matters is that each brought some unity, but more importantly are helping to raise money and awareness to some truly incredible causes.
Peace!

I can tell you didn’t attend 8/28. If you did, you’d have realized that there were a minimum of about 300,000 people. I believe having seen the sea of people in person, that there were about 500,000 people. You can go by the biased estimates of the LSM all you want. The truth is, if Stewart and Colbert’s crowd size is 150K, then Beck’s Restoring Honor rally had many more people attending.
The other BIG difference was the spirit of the event. Beck’s was all about a serious problem with our country. To put it in terms liberals MIGHT understand…
Liberals are always talking about the ecosystem so I came up with an analogy that explains what has happened to our country from a liberal POV.
Progressives have destroyed America’s “people-system”. Like the ecosystem that according to the expert scientists, is fragile and all connected. If you destroy this part or that part, it will all fall apart.
The same thing can be said for the American people. When you destroy our faith in God, remove religion from public discourse, destroy the sovereignty of parenting, teach children how to have sex, how to do anything to get ahead including lying and cheating, when you redefine what it means to win and FAIL… I could go on, but once you do these things, you destroy the people-system of America (the greatest nation ever in the history of man). We need to stop this before it’s too late.
Please vote on November 2nd. We need to take back our country from these liberal lunatics. If you are not sure who to vote for, check out this cool site. It helps you to pick candidates based on where they stand on issues.

That’s some diversity alright… considering that Usuf Islam (after converting to the Muslim religion) publicly stated that Salmon Rushdie should be killed/executed for writing a book they didn’t like. CENSORSHIP IS BAD ENOUGH, BUT LEAVE IT TO THE LIBS TO FIND SOMEONE WHO BELIEVES THAT WE SHOULD MURDER PEOPLE FOR FREE SPEECH… and have them sing PEACE train… absurd… blind leading the blind!
Following Ayatollah Khomeini’s February 14, 1989 death threat fatwa against author Salman Rushdie, Cat Stevens (aka USUF ISLAM) addressed students at Kingston University in London about his conversion to Islam and was asked about the controversy in the Muslim world and the fatwa calling for Salman Rushdie’s execution. He replied, “He must be killed. The Qur’an makes it clear – if someone defames the prophet, then he must die.” ["Philadelphia Inquirer", February 24, 1989, p.5A, "Iran: West to blame Islam for forthcoming terrorism".]
Gotta love the socialist left’s idea of “peace.” This was just a really bad variety show to pat the egos of Stewart and Colbert… while the libs played patty-cake with each other, thinking they were making fun of Glenn Beck. But all they really did was PROVE OUR POINT… they acted like silly brainwashed sheep, discussed nothing of value… partying while the ship goes down. Quite the opposite of the intellectual discussions of the Beck Rally, which was full of profound spiritual and political discussions, in an effort to save the nation from an impending fall.

They’re doing the wave there ! Jeeeeeesh! I’m waiting for the hoola-hoops to be brought out. Round and round and round we go.
Page 35 of OH MY GOD, HE’S BLACK “How do you know about my morning? It is a little thing, old, true, called the triarchy. Angel power.” page 30 of OH MY GOD, HE’S BLACK “Such was Sunday morning. A loving lick. If only it were the quaternion. The quaternion love. The Bible. The blackened book of gray. The GrayBible. The word that is truth. The word that is God. Find the gray matter in it and spend an eternity in the Heaenly SphereAfter in God’s gray matter. Where there is a little light in man, not far shines God’s eternal everlasting light.”
Guess there won’t be a lot of eternal light, the math that is god, the 1 that is 3, mentioned in this rally of sorts. Hello Glenn! God bless ya!

Report Post ».. 269 out of 150K. The other 149,731 were either glad to get out of their parents basement…had nothing to do since they didn’t have a job, or have never been to Washington and wanted to go to the “mall”.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 6:31pmAerial photos clearly show 150-200K, which is at least 50% more than Beck had. Note that the space used by Stewart is also larger. Those that say Beck’s was bigger are kidding themselves. More people are interested in reason and sanity than not. Proud to be American.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 7:15pmIt was much like their shows. Quite funny at times, occasionally awkward and subsumed in a left-of-center bias. Being so close to the elections, it’s sure to flip a few undecideds tot he Dems, but has no lasting meaning.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 8:01pmOh little Matty1631. You’ve really screwed up this time. Haha
When you say, “Next week in an unprescedented show of force the opposition party will take control of one body of congress in a midterm election!!!”
If you were a Tea Party member you would have said, “…show of force OUR party will take control of one body of congress…”
When you say “opposition party” then we know you ARE a libtroll. lol
You kind of blew your cover there, didn’t ya little matty. Not like anyone couldn’t already tell.
Go play your WoW game now.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 2:50amyou guys are missing the point. the crowd of course is going to be partying, it’s a the daily show colbert crowd! what they were trying to accomplish is to get the name calling out of it and get it to where we can say “i respectfully disagree with you.” instead of us going straight to NAzi and them going straight to nazi. This rally was reinforcing Stewarts old crossfire appearance. if you havent seen that look it up.
Report Post »Most shows are nowhere near that tense anymore because, for example, Hannity will stack his panels with one leftie and 2-3 rights or 1 right and some guy hocking a movie.
The other side is the complete opposite of that.
Get one opposing and blow them out of the water. it’s why i dont watch hannity anymore(and usually never watch the other side because they are a little mean spirited at the moment).

You’re all done. All washed up. You lying liberals really show your true colors by coming on here and lying about who you really are. That’s why you and your ilk are losing come Nov. 2nd.
So how much does your union pay you for each post you crap out? I sure hope they are paying you good. lol

Matthew 7:1-2
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Report Post »2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Mk. 4.24
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
