‘Culture Is The Soul of Development’: Krauthammer Defends Romney’s Comments on Israel

In just over a minute, Charles Krauthammer slapped down the criticisms of former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s speech to Israel as somehow “racist” in an appearance on Fox News today with Brett Baier.

“I disagree entirely with the consensus of the press, the mindless consensus that Romney had a gaffe regarding the Palestinians when he said culture has a lot to do with the state of one’s economy,” Krauthammer said. “He was doing nothing more than echoing the words of the U.N. Arab Development Report. This is U.N. It’s written by Arab intellectuals. It’s not written by Zionists.”

And what did the report say? “Culture is the soul of development.” In fact, the report criticized Arab culture in particular for its lack of womens’ rights, human rights, etc, and suggested that the corruption in the political culture was leading to a backwards economy in Arab states, according to Krauthammer. Pretty damning stuff, and none of it from a racist, or even a conservative source.

Watch Krauthammer’s remarks below.

It is true that no major contribution to the world has come from that region of the world since the 1400′s other than oil, which wasn’t put there by anyone. Unless a major societal change occurs in the middle east; the sooner we are able to cease all interaction with Arabs, Persians, and Palestinians the better we will be for it.

I had the distinct honor of getting to go to Israel last year. Romney is right. The Jewish Quarter in
Jerusalem is very clean. The “Palistaian” (sp) section looks like Detroit. There is a clash of cultures.

Krauthammer has a tendency to speak plainly and clearly. That Mitt Romney spoke plainly and clearly in quoting the U.N. report from 2002 is something statist apologists will clearly ignore. Unless the Marxist left can create division and conflict where none exists, their philisophy of death and loathing toward humanity cannot find a foothold.

Fully expect to hear the Marxist apologists claim that Krauthammer lied when saying Romney did not
speak in agreement with the U.N. report mentioned in the video, while at the same time attacking Krauthammer’s credentials as a political journalist.

Krauthammer’s quoting of the report will infuriate the marxists. When it does, expect to see Saul Alinsky’s rules put into place:

Rule 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
Rule 12: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

The left is often unable to deal with C.K.’s arguments, and so resort to the above rules to attack him personnally, in the hope of distracting people from hearing him. In tha case of Krauthammer, these attacks fail miserably, although it is humorous to listen and watch them attempt it. As plain as Krauthammer is, he is more of an intellectual than any on the left, and that is why they hate him.

Since the left cannot beat Krauthammer in an argument, they have only the personal attacks.

When you get to know and understand the marxists, their claims of intellectual superiority are the biggest joke of all.

Romnet is right on. Eversince the “PALESTINIANS” got their piece of the country from Isreal and even in the Gaza, where did they spend most of the money they got. Did they spend it on the infrastructure? Nope. They spent most of that money on arms and ammunition, and rockets to send to Israel. Now, let’s look at where Israel is spending most of their money, after the military, they are spending that money on INFRASTRUCTURE, re-building the cities and roads and the government services. If and when you go to Israel, you know immediately when the Jewish sector and the muslim sectors begin and end. The dirt and filth emenating from the muslim sectors are a sight to behold

The truth will set you free but first it will irritate you.

Romney is right. According to the Torah, God made a covenant with Abram: “And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed’” (Genesis 12:1-3) The great nation that descended from Abraham was Israel. God kept his covenant to Abram and blessed Israel so that through them, all the families of the earth will be blessed. God did not choose the Jews to make them superior in any way, rather He chose them so they can bless all the nations on earth.

The Torah contains a number of imprecations against and laws forbidding child sacrifice. Honor killings and encouraging children to be suicide bombers could also be a problem.

Our media is an anti-God, hate-mongering Darwinian racist institution just as their political party the Democrat Fascist Marxist Socialist Party is. None of them are journalists they are puppets on a string propagandists spewing lies, hate, deception. There is a tripartite evil axis in our nation all run by liberal/progressives the media, big business, and the democrat party and what do they all have in common they all attended either private or government run educational institutions run by Marxists/Atheists/Darwinists. We are now paying the price in the immanent self-destruction of our civilization. We have a state religion is taught in the schools/colleges/universities and these institutions are the state church indoctrinating the states religious worldview and it is enforced by the judges. Culture makes the difference can we save ours we shall see if it begins in November if not a repeat of the fall of the Wiemar Republic will repeat and a new Fourth Reich will arise right here.in what was the land of the free but now home to the sheeples. They don’t understand that the monster tyrannical government they creating will also break them in little pieces as it devours them.

A Greek philosopher observed that there were four thing necessary to make a successful civilization.. They were: similar language, similar blood, similar religion, and a similar culture. America is systematically abandoning every one of those principles.

It is probably too late for this nation to stem our fall toward rack and ruin. But let our internal enemies remember this prediction, when it all tumbles down and the Constitution is betrayed, they will reap the whirlwind. The fittest and strongest will survive and once again we’ll come full circle.

    —————
Romney: Socialized Health Care Good For Israel, Not For U.S.
    July 30, 2012, 12:45 PM

During a trip to Israel, Mitt Romney hailed the nation’s health care system for holding down costs and broadening coverage more effectively than the U.S.

The irony: Israel contains costs by adopting a very centralized, government-run health care system — anathema to Romney’s Republican Party.

“Do you realize what health care spending is as a percentage of the GDP in Israel? Eight percent. You spend eight percent of GDP on health care. You’re a pretty healthy nation,” he said Monday at a breakfast fundraiser, according to the New York Times. “We spend 18 percent of our GDP on health care, 10 percentage points more. That gap, that 10 percent cost, compare that with the size of our military — our military which is 4 percent, 4 percent. Our gap with Israel is 10 points of GDP. We have to find ways — not just to provide health care to more people, but to find ways to fund and manage our health care costs.”

Israel’s health care system is an instructive exercise in all that rankles American conservatives — replete with government mandates, price controls and centralized payments funded mostly by high taxes.”

Funny u should mention that, as an Israeli citizen I just want to make sure u know the facts…. Israel did have a socialized from of health care , they did pass a health care law that mandates health care for all citizens and residents however… Since the health care law was passed a de regulation of the health care started and we went from one provider system to multi provider system and slowly since then more options since then became available to the consumers. So in about 1994 more private health insurance providers were allowed to compete with the one single providers which brought insurance priced down and allowed better access ability to better health care, all due to competition …. Now it’s still far from perfect but it is much better then it was when I was growing up….

Don’t TALK about it, someone may get offended. Don’t say that the middle east arab-muslim thugocracies thwart economic opportunity or freedom or women’s rights. Don’t say that! Saudi Arabia, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Egypt, Lybia, Tunisia, Iraq, Iran – all ruled by mafia-like pseudo religious thugs who manipulate and oppress their people using and abusing their faith. This is cultural and accepted by their populations and it affects their economic vitality, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and desire to improve their standard of living. The United States president needs to say this early and often and the oppressed people living in these countries need to hear it.

Dr. K does it again! He’s absolutely correct; we Americans must change the culture our children are being exposed to. We must encourage each other to be better citizens than we’ve been in the past. Our kids are now “takers”, and no longer “givers”–they want the gov’t to fix all their problems–but that‘s not govt’s role. Until all Americans wake up to what the destruction of our morals & values is doing to this country, Obama, Fauxahontas & their ilk will continue to destroy our country. I was amazed and thankful to see all the kids at Restoring Love’s Day of Service…gives me hope that we shall overcome the Marxist/Leftist power grab & their desire to destroy what is so great about America…our desire to help others. America is great because America is good!

Who is this Krauthammer guy? How much does FOX pay him to come up with this idea that one culture is actually inferior to another based on some unreferenced remarks? A lot I hope, given what he’s preaching and the ultimate penalty for bearing false witness.

Isn’t this cultural inferiority thing what early last century we in this country said about blacks and Jews? Of course it is. Blacks were stupid and lazy and wanted to rape your white daughters and Jews wanted to steal all your money. Isn’t this what every single group of people has said as justification for their aggression against or oppression of another?

That’s what all racists say and have always said. We are better than you, ethically and intellectually and hygienically. That’s just what racists say. That’s the basis – the claimed basis anyway – for aggression of one group against another. That‘s exactly why whites didn’t want to drink from the same water fountain as whites, and some still don’t.

Krauthammer, don’t try to claim that Romney and the UN agree that Arabs are inferior. That’s a lie, we know it and you know it.

And what I don’t get is, despite the fact that we know and accept “history repeats itself” that we don’t see it when it happens before our very eyes.
