Customers Left Bloody in Scuffle at Apple Store iPad Launch in Beijing

BEIJING (AP) — A Chinese man says he saw a fight between an Apple store employee and a customer amid a frenzy to buy the newly launched iPad 2.
Thirty-year-old Wang Ming says Saturday‘s scuffle at the Apple store in Beijing’s Sanlitun district was between a “foreign” Apple staffer and a Chinese customer. Wang says he heard that the customer had cut into a line and was a scalper.
Unconfirmed Chinese news reports said three or four customers were injured. Wang says he was passing by when a bottle hit his head, causing a gash.
Photos taken in the aftermath of the scuffle showed Wang and another man with a wound on his back lying on the ground outside the shop and the store’s glass front door shattered.
Apple Inc. staff could not immediately be reached for comment.

We are all so programmed by the mass media of 5th ave ilk. What control these people have over us or should I say we allow them to have. People can’t stop themselves because they are so guilt tripped into being apart of the whole I gotta have the latest gadget, shoes, shoulder bag, car, home and if I don’t have it I am less than someone who has these things.
Same applies to this socalled special day (mothers day) appointed to the masses to celebrate. If you don‘t celebrate you’ve just commited and grave sin against your mother and who may also be your spouse. I say, just say no to your programming and let her know throughout the year how much you appreciate her being a good mother..
Go against your programming people! It will be a much better and brighter world if you do. Problem is, not enough people will and we are back to square one. So go ahead and shop, shop til you drop, make sure your heart is filled to the brim with joy and gladness that you have out done your friends and neighbors. The economy needs you to keep doing this action so go for it. The elite needs you to keep shopping so they can get their huge profits to buy their island estates and yachts.
Guess what though? None of this crap will make you happy. Chinese should know better but they do not because it has been bred into them to be the new consumers. They’ll be sorry.

I contend neither are. they are both in business to make money. That’s what the FREE MARKET is all about. But why does the Left demonize Big Oil, yet champion Apple? Doesn’t make any sense does it?

First off everyone knows that there will be millions of those products made, second off while an interesting product it is not the biggest thing since sliced bread people its just another computing device and most devices like this are fairly limited on what they can do. I deal with computers and other components on a daily basis. I repair, custom build, etc… and to see crap like this happen over a machine that is truly dumber than a box of rocks is ridiculous. The mentality of these types of people are truly sickening. Jeeze people wait your turn and if they run out, there will be more in stock in less than a week or so. I have to call it like I see it though and those that would push and shove and beat the crud out of another human being over a stupid electronic device, well I have one word for them all, idiots!

In our case there was a humorous one last black friday, thief tried to steal a plush armchair loaded in a shopping cart, pushed it past the security at the door at full speed right into the police cruiser that was pulling up outside…quite spetactular example of pure stupidity on his part as the cuffs got put on.

Posted on May 8, 2011 at 12:04pmCurrently, Apple has contracted with Foxconn to make their iPad 2′s in China, where employees are reportedly paid (after receiving a 30% raise) a king’s ransom of 1,200 Yuan/month, or about $185 at current exchange rates (y/$ = 0.154), or, if we assume an average 8-hour/day, 250-day/year (probably unrealistic assumptions), $1.11/hour.
Oh the irony of people fighting over something that was made by fellow countrymen living and working in some of the worst conditions. About a year ago Foxconn installed safety netting around the top floors of their factories to reduce worker suicides, that should give you an idea of the conditions.
Next time a lefty with an iphone/ipod/ipad talks smack, remind them of the $1/hr slave wages paid to the poor people putting together their flashy iDevice.

Just like here, there are jobs that pay more. Just look at the increase in the rich and middle class. And for being such a poor country for so long, I don’t think any of them are complaining.
