‘Cut, Cap, and Kill’: Senate Dems Line up to Trash House Debt Deal

Senate Democrats are lining up- literally, as you will see- to verbally dismember the “Cut, Cap, and Balance” plan recently passed by the House of Representative.

While Republicans see the plan as a responsible means to end the federal government’s rampant overspending, the Senate Democrats are portraying it as a sort of legislative apocalypse. According to them, the plan will end social security, medicare, and America as we know it.

(Read our previous story on Sen. Tom Harkin’s comments)

Among the Dems greatest hits so far today:

Sen. Boxer- “It would cut and cap the hopes and dreams of… all of America.”

Sen. Harkin- “The cut isn’t just a nick….its more like an amputation….this kind of uncompromising ideological extremism has no place in our democracy.”

Sen. Schumer- “It would make these drastic cuts while providing constitutional protections for tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires.”

President Obama is already threatening a veto. But at some point, the democrats may be in a position where they have to offer their own plan, or at least say what spending they would be willing to cut.

Watch the video below to get the Senate Democrats’ reaction to the current House plan:

Dr. Ron Paul has voted against this bill in the House for the following reason: it cuts only about one hundred billion, but keep one-point-five trillion dollar deficit this year and promises cuts for future. As a politician with thirty years experience, Mr. Paul knows very well that only THIS year that counts. Future promises from politicians is worth as much as their scare tactics. The best possible solution is “NO DEALS”, forcing the government hand to live within its means THIS year.

Yes, but his son, Rand is for this — he talked about it yesterday. The fact is the “no deals” is impossible to get passed at this time. But this one has already been passed with a good majority & if passed by the Senate, will send the very needed Balanced Budget amendment to the States, no matter if the President vetoes it or not. President doesn’t have a say so in that. Getting that Budget amendment done would help solve a lot of our problems & needs to be started now b/c it’ll take a couple of years. Ron is probably right but just not possible I don’t think at this time. Maybe later when/if we win the Senate & Presidency in 2012.

Yes! I agree!! I wish the Republicans would BLAST the Dems on this point to the extreme that they were more willing to pass (shove) obamacare rather than a budget!! Another point is the commercial on Fox with the three senior citizens and their worry about $100bn being taken from them with the current proposals. The Conservatives want to go with the Gang of 234 deal that has just passed the House (Cut, Cap, and Balance). Where are Obama’s and the Democrats bill? Just like the Budget, they don’t have one!

Since they’re having fits about this should prove this needs to be passed!!! All lies & fear mongering as usual & was to be expected. It has the hated “Balanced Budget” deal in it too that they can’t have!!!!! That would harm them – keep them from spending the country down the drain. What is not widely known is that if the Senate passes this, even if the President vetoes — the Balanced Budget STILL automatically goes to the States to be voted on & if enough sign on, will become the needed amendment to get us back on track & the Dems hate & don’t want. The President doesn’t have a say in it. Also DeMint & others saying that it’s not true about it not having a chance to pass in the Senate. They are lacking only a few Dems & are pleading for We The People to flood their senators who are on the fence with calls, e-mails & passionately urge them to pass this – & it could get passed. So all you guys who want this, please do that & spread the word – do it today !!!!!

I am glad the Republicans have put something up that will require the democrats to take a stand or a postiion, something that they have been careful not to do. Even if the bill fails in the Senate, there will be a voting record established and therefore available for the upcoming election. Democrats will have a rough time ‘splainin’ their vote if it is something their constituents want. Our case (in WA) is relatively hopeless because we have a do-nothing senator up again, Maria Cant(vote)well, and King County never met a democrat they didn’t like (if you don’t count Dixy Lee Ray). We can always hope that Seattle will forget to print the extra votes in time for them to be counted.

While the DNC commies can of course, refuse to adopt a well thought out bill, one that would of course stop the over spending, thus the skyrocketing deficet, they will surely pay a heavy price next election. The corrupt “gang of six’ and their phoney bill, only serves to drive America closer to the brink of no return.

If you ARE NOT a communist, socialist, terrorist .. you must stand up, be heard and DEMAND that “Cut, Cap, and Balance” be passed by both houses of Congress and signed into law by the actor in the White House. If you are a true blue blood American, let us stand together as Americans and take our country back. If those we elect refuse to listen to the American public and continue to fail to comply with the Consitution, Bill of Rights and the laws of the land, we need to make sure that those elected parties join other people in the unemployment line.

The only thing democrats want to do is criticize Republicans. They are mandated by law to pass a budget, but they haven’t done it. Why? Because they have no solutions on their own. They’re only political move is to do nothing and then criticize Republicans when they propose something.

The only thing that democrats are truly good at is criticizing Republicans. They showed over the last two years that they’re an absolute disaster when they make policies. So, they’ve given up on trying to fix America and have gone back to just criticizing Republicans.

The socialist will not pass anything that helps the country get back on its feet and away from the down fall. Remember it is a progressive agenda they are pushing.

Their simple belief is that everyone is equal and the pain which they are putting us through must be felt by all. Remember, the overall goal is to destroy the value of the dollar so the ‘one world govermnent, ( actually the one world monetary system)’, is established.
