D.C. Occupiers Use Children as Human Shields to Block Traffic

Since the Occupy protests began, reports of demonstrators placing themselves and even their small children in harm’s way have surfaced near-daily.  First, The Blaze brought you a video from MRCTV on Saturday showing a group of Occupiers fight with convention center security guards at a D.C. Metro station while trying to block the convention center’s doorway with small children.

Now, the same children who, earlier that night had been used to blockade the door, were again used — this time to block traffic.  MRCTV  recently released the following video showing the children were part of a larger human barricade placed directly in front of a vehicle. While it is late at night, the child can be seen sitting in what appears to be the same toy-wagon that was featured in the original video:

For reference, the original video from the convention center scuffle is featured below. One of the Occupiers said that since the children are hers, the action was justifiable. Meanwhile, other demonstrators seemed to think that using children as human shields is permissible simply because they are the “99%.”

This post has been updated. The featured image depicts the same child at an earlier Occupy DC traffic-protest on November 2nd.

    As a former long term resident of northern Virginia, and knowing the DC area very well, that crazy woman who put her poor children in harms way probably either lives in Tacoma Park in Maryland or the City of Falls Church in Virginia. Two very luney places.

    Police should investigate this and take her children away from her before any harm comes to them.

      I have to agree with you there, they are using the children as innocent human shields, and not to mention teaching them to “fear the police” as insturments of corruption from the “faceless industrial giants who crush everything…” and the such.

      Don’t you just have a lot of respect for people who would hide behind children? Blocking a door with kids is one thing, even though it is wrong, but putting them in harms way on a road is not only wrong, it is illegal. The police should immediately remove the kids from that adult and place the adult under arrest for endangering the welfare of a child. They are hopping for a child to get injured so they have reason to exploded in rage. Where are the protective services, if one of those children started praying CYS would come out of the woodwork.

      In SLC they moved to a vacant downtown city lot…set up camp. the owner said he wants them off his land They refused…saying the owner was not using it and it was just going to waste and turning into “garbage”..so they wanted it.
      This morning, even after being told to leave, there are about 8 tents still there,. The whole thing is ridiculous.

      I wonder if those moms that put the kids up …have a job anywhere…IF SO WHAT IS IT

    a guy once started a fight with me with his young boy there…the boy saw his dad get sent to the hospital mabe the boy wont push people around after seeing daddy badly hurt…..he was wrong ,,they are wrong,,,if the kids get hurt the parents should go to jail for putting a child in danger…if i had to get out of the building i would go through the prents and or kids,,,

      We’re going to have to either do a lot of home schooling, OR repeal most of the laws about how the public schools are set up AND set up a lot of private schools! (Especially Christian schools to bring back the morality to this country!)
